Episode 23

Chhavi’s POV

I felt nervous as soon as I saw Sarah in front of me, and I am not understanding how to deal with her, but I know King is there to support me, and that is why I think I was able to answer her with so much confidence.

    Someone knocked on the door, I raised my head and saw Sarah standing near the door. Before I could stop her she entered the room and came and sat on the bed.

    “Don’t you know the rules, this is the King's chamber, you can’t enter this without his permission,” I said sternly.

“In one week this is going to be my chamber as well,” she said and was about to lie on the bed when suddenly I heard a roar and turned to see King was standing near the door and before i could say anything he went near Sarah and said, “it is not your chamber yet, when it becomes yours you can definitely rest on this bed, but today you will be resting in our restroom,” and I looked at him shocked.

“Why should I wait, why don’t you marry me tomorrow itself,” asked Sarah gloomily and tried to hug him.

“I think you are tired and you need some rest, we will talk about it tomorrow,” said the king very calmly and it felt as though I lost him to Sarah and I ran towards the garden crying.

“I don’t want to share him with anybody, not even Sarah, I can’t see him hugging any other girl than me, he can’t do this to me,” I thought and sat on the bench and closed my eyes.

After some time I felt a hand on my shoulder, but didn’t bother to turn as I know who it might be, I am angry, and I want answers for his doings and he came and settled beside me and held my hand and said, “in two days you are going for a exile for three months, make yourself ready for it,” and came on his feet and walked away from there, leaving me alone and shocked and tears rolled down my eyes thinking what is going to happen in my absence.

Two days passed in a blink of an eye as Payal was just preparing me how to deal with the situations in the forest and she gave me something and asked me to open it when I reached the forest and for the past two days, the King didn’t even care to return to his chamber, but I saw him spending his time with Sarah, whom he is going to marry as soon as I leave this palace.

One man came to drop me at the forest and I slowly walked towards the King, but he just ignored me and walked away from there like he didn’t see me and my heart broke into pieces, the man I loved the most is ignoring me today and tears flowed down my eyes, which I wiped off quickly as they are not going to change anything, nor going to change anybody’s decision. I slowly walked towards the room and took our marriage album as I know he doesn’t need it and hugged it tightly and my tears betrayed me and I fell on my knees and started crying till Payal came and started consoling me.

After some time, I composed myself and went near the bed and took the sheet and folded it and kept it in my bag, as I don’t want Sarah to sleep on the same sheet on which we had good memories.

I took a round of the chamber and took some of his belongings thinking that I am not going to return to this palace again. I have decided that I am going to spend the rest of my life in exile rather than coming here and breaking my heart again and again.

I slowly walked towards the exit, looking for the King, but he was found nowhere. I smiled looking at my misfortune standing in front of me and walked towards her and greeted her saying, “all the best for your married life,” and walked away from there.

Payal followed me till the chariot and reminded me again of something she kept in my hand and I nodded my head as okay and got into the chariot with a heavy heart thinking about my arrival in this palace as a queen and now I am leaving this palace in a white plain saree for an exile for the mistake which I have never committed.

My father and my husband, who are the most important persons in my life, betrayed me for Sarah because I am not his own daughter and my husband because I am not his first choice.

After a few hours, the chariot stopped and the man said, “this is the place where you have to spend the next three months,” and I smiled looking at the forest and got down the chariot and in no time the chariot disappeared. As it was still day time, I took my bag and went and sat in the shadow of the tree and remembered Payal’s words and took the packet, which I hid in my hairdo and opened the small packet and saw a folded sheet of paper.

I opened it and was shocked to see it was written to me by my King, my husband and tears welled up in my eyes, but this time happy tears, which I wiped off quickly and started reading it.

“My Love,

    You are always going to be the queen of this palace, I promise no one can take your place, just make sure that you are safe, I will be waiting for your return, my palace will be waiting for their queen, and about the marriage, I don’t know what will happen, Queen is adamant, but I will look for ways to get out of this situation. I love you, just have faith in me, I can never leave you.

Parrot Lucky will be there to guide you, just follow it, and you will reach the safest place in half an hour.

Just keep in mind that I love you and I will be waiting for you.

Your heart breaker.”

“How can he write that he is my heart breaker,” I thought, making faces and saw one parrot looking at me and I got on my feet and it started flying and we reached our destination after a long time and I saw Payal and Survi standing there with a wide grin on their faces.

I ran towards them and hugged them tightly and started laughing and they also started laughing along with me.

“I missed you,” said Survi, breaking the hug and I just hugged her again.

 “Hope our parrot didn’t trouble you a lot,” said Payal and I looked at her and asked, “whose parrot is this?”

“It is Nihal’s pet friend, it listens to only Nihal, it won’t care about anybody else,” said Payal and walked towards the parrot, but it flew away from there and came and sat on Chhavi’s shoulder and Payal’s eyes widened.

“Wow Lucky, I am happy that you chose me as your friend,” said Chhavi, and the parrot flew away from there and three walked inside the house.
