Episode 22

    “King, Sarah made Queen Seema on her side and Queen Seema is not    ready to listen to any of us, they have started and will reach by tomorrow morning,” said Venkat coming into my chamber.

    I just smiled and said, “let her come and make all the arrangements to welcome my mother back to our kingdom.”

    I think Vishnu has appointed someone behind this Sarah, but who and how was he able to do that?

    Nihal came and greeted me and I turned towards him and raised my brow.

    “King, pardon me, I was not able to help you,” he said, lowering his head.

    “Just make sure that my mom reaches here safely, otherwise, I can kill you all,” I said calmly and he just nodded his head and walked out of my chamber.

I have to be careful from now on. I know if I miss somewhere also Vishnu is there to take care of Chhavi, but still I can’t take any risk.

“King, Queen Chhavi is waiting for you, I don’t know what happened to her, she is feeling nervous,” said Payal knocking on the door.

“What happened to her now?” I thought and ran towards my chamber and she looked at me with teary eyes and came towards me running and hugged me tightly.

“What happened?” I asked caressing her hair.

“I saw a dream, in which you are getting married to Sarah,” she said crying.

“In the dream also I can’t marry her, you might have not completed the dream,” I said consoling her.

“No, I saw you tying the nuptial chain,” she said adamantly.

“Did you see my face?” I asked and she thought for sometime and nodded her head as no.

“Now calm down, nothing of such sort is going to happen,” I said calming her down, but she pushed me away and said, “I don’t want to share you with anybody, I want you to be with me only, I will do whatever you want me to do, but you can’t marry any other girl,” she said like a command.

“Okay,” I said and tried to hug her again, but she went and sat on the bed.

“Chhavi, it was just a dream,” I said and tried to sit beside her, but she arose from the bed and said, “I don’t know whether it was a dream or it is going to come true,” and started to go away from me.

“Stop,” I ordered and she stood at her place.

“If I will get married also, you should not have any problem, and you should be in your limits and should not command me,” I said, raising my voice.

She turned towards me and looked at me with teary eyes.

“Come to me now and stop using your tears as your weapon,” I said, getting irked by her behavior.

She came near me slowly and I held her hand and started to walk out of the chamber and she followed me without any protest.

I took her near the river and made her sit on the bench and I sat beside her.

“Today, I want to share something very personal about me with you, hope you will try to understand,” I said looking at the river.

She hugged my hand and rested her head on my shoulder.

I loved my father very much and he was my best friend, we were always inseparable, and his favorite place was this river. One day, they killed him mercilessly in the water only. You know I talk to this river and feel as though he is listening to me.

One day, they planned to take away my kingdom making my mother weak, but I went to King Mahesh and told him everything and you know he was just 28 at that time and he understood what I wanted. He was the worst king for others, but he stood for me and my mother and I respect him a lot because he never expected anything from us till now.

You know, I married to Naina thinking that she will become my best better half and friend, good queen for my kingdom, one year we were like friends only, but then suddenly she said she wants some time and she is not comfortable being in one room with me and then we stopped talking to each other and I came to know that she was having an affair with one of my friends, I thought I was not able to satisfy her that is why she chose my friend over me, but they crossed their limits and she became pregnant, and I had no option left.

Before I could complete the sentence, she closed my mouth and said, “she was unlucky that being with you also, she was not able to become yours.”

“Who told you about her?” I asked looking at her confused and saw my army had surrounded the area and I looked behind me and saw Nihal standing there at some distance.

“When did they come here?” I asked, turning towards Chhavi.

“When you started revealing your secrets,” said Chhavi smiling.

I just smiled looking at the river and said, “I will not promise you anything, because I don’t know whether I will be able to protect you or not, but I just want you to trust me that I will be there for you and you just have to remember the training which I have given to you, I know I was somewhat harsh on you, but that was needed.”

“Is Sarah going to return to our lives?” she asked.

“Tomorrow morning, she will be here, and I just want you to remember that you are the queen of this kingdom and not her sister anymore,” I said sternly.

“What if?” she asked, but I cut her off and said, “you are not weak, remember one thing, you are representing the women of our kingdom and your one wrong step will spoil everything.”

“I promise, I will never let them down with my doings,” said Chhavi and slowly pecked my lips and arose from the bench and forwarded her hand and said, “let’s welcome our enemy, I know I have to leave this place in some days because of her wrong doings, but I have trust in my husband.”

I smiled and held her hand and got on my feet and hugged her tightly and said, “I think I should control Nihal and Payal from sharing secrets with you.”

“They are my friends as well, you can’t stop them,” she said, nuzzling her nose in my chest.

“You are becoming naughtier these days,” I said, kissing her hair.

Author’s POV

“Mom, welcome back, I missed you a lot,” said Vikram and hugged Seema and she also hugged him with love.

“Don’t you want to hug me?” asked Sarah from behind and Vikram looked at her angrily and moved a step back and took Seema near the couch and made her sit and sat beside her.

“Mom, I think you should rest now as you might have become tired with the long journey,” said Vikram and Seema smiled and caressed his hair and said, “I troubled you a lot.”

“No problem mom, from now on you are going to stay with me only,” said Vikram and saw Sarah going towards Chhavi.

“Chhavi, make some pasta for me, spicy,” said Sarah and Chhavi looked at her and called Payal and said, “Payal, Sarah wants something, please make it for her,” and walked towards her chamber.

“Don’t you know I like your handmade food,” said Sarah.

“Weren’t you eating outside food for these many days?” asked Chhavi.

“I think you are thinking that you have become queen, but don’t forget, I came here to take back what was mine and I will do that at any cost,” said Sarah, going closer to her.

“I don’t mind giving you back what was yours, but I will not allow you to touch what was mine,” said Chhavi smiling and walked away from there.
