The Queen of Heart

Episode 21

In the morning, I was inspecting the ground and saw Chhavi coming towards me and she had a smile on her face. I went near her and said, “today you will go to any extent to save your brother, and you are going to run till I ask you to stop, it can be hours or maybe days as well,” and she looked at me in shock.

“Are you ready?” I asked, looking at her frightened expression and she nodded her head. I took her to the point and said, “from here you will start running and you will touch that tree and come back and touch me and then it will go on,” and she looked at the tree and turned towards me and said, “what if I feel hungry?”

“You have to sacrifice everything today,” I said sternly and she came closer to me and asked, “can I at least hug you?” and I just smiled and hugged her tightly and kissed her forehead and said, “now start,” and she stood beside me and said, “I am ready.”

I looked at her and said, “run,” and she started running and went and touched the tree and came towards me running and touched my hand and started to run again and I was just looking at her legs, I don’t want her to get injured and suddenly Naresh came and stood behind me and said, “King, there is an urgent call from the office,” and I showed him my hand and he went away from there.

After nearly 45 minutes, she became slow, but she didn’t stop her running and I am very much impressed with her act. She ran for 10 more minutes, and I saw that her steps were not straight, they lost the sequence and went here and there. I ran and stood in front of her and she hugged me tightly and suddenly jumped on me and snaked her legs around my waist and nuzzled her nose in my chest and started to breathe heavily. I caressed her hair and then started to caress her back and suddenly Payal came and said, “King, some emergency,” but when I didn’t reply, she went away from there.

“King, please don’t tell my dad about Vish,” she said panting.

“You have impressed me very much today and I am accepting your wish,” I said and she looked into my eyes and then her attention turned towards my lips and in no time she crashed her lips with mine and started to kiss me like a hungry beast. Now, I am repenting as to why I asked her to learn kissing.

Someone called me from behind and she became shy and hid her face in my chest and I turned and looked at her angrily and asked, “what?”

“There is a call from King Suman’s palace and they want to talk to you urgently,” she said, lowering her head.

“Okay, I am coming,” I said and took Chhavi to the chamber and laid her on the bed and said, “remember one thing Chhavi, I won’t be there to protect you all the time, this is for your self-protection, the pain will go away in some time, but confidence should not go, life always take turns, you just have to keep faith on yourself, not me nor your dad.”

“I don’t know why you are doing all these, but I promise, I will never disappoint you,” she said and closed her eyes and I walked towards my study room to attend the call.

“King Vikram, it is to inform you that your wife has to leave the palace within one week and our army chief will come and pick her up and drop her in the nearby deserted area,” said the voice and disconnected the call.

“I can’t keep her here for one long week, Sarah and mom will be here any time and I can’t even go against their rules,” I thought and walked towards my chamber and saw that she was in deep sleep and I walked towards the washroom.

Chhavi’s POV

    I don’t know why, but everybody is behaving weirdly with me, and suddenly he asked me to take the sword in my hand. I hate swords, but he is adamant today, he is not going to listen to me in anyway, not even my tears are going to help me today, but luckily, he came and stood behind me and I felt like I am in heaven, so close to me, I love whenever he is closer to me, and I want to submit myself to him, but I don’t understand why he never takes a step forward.

    He trained me for sometime and went away from there leaving me with Payal and she was trying hard to turn my wrist, but after some time she took the sword in her hand and said, “your wrist is not made for this sword,” and walked away from there and obviously I sighed in relief.

    In the evening I got a call from Vishnu and I told him everything and he started smiling and said, “learn sissy, you are not a small girl anymore, and now just don’t pout,” as he knows I will pout.

    “What if I get hurt?” I asked him.

    “He will never hurt you, just listen to him and do whatever he is asking you to do, don’t forget you are the queen and you should know everything,” he said and actually he is correct, but I don’t know how I will learn all those.

    “Sissy, I will talk to you later, I have some urgent work,” he said and disconnected the call.

    “All are busy with their own work and they don’t have time to spend with me or talk to me,” I thought and laid on the bed and closed my eyes.

    The next day, the king asked me to curl my fingers into a fist and hit the punching bag, “really? Is he mad? How can I hit a punching bag? My fingers will break,” I thought, but he warned that I can’t say no and I didn’t have any other choice than punching it.

    I went near it and tears welled up in my eyes thinking about my hand after the hit, but as soon as I hit it, I felt it to be soft and it didn’t hurt my hand as well, I turned towards him and hugged him tightly.

    He asked me to practice and went away from there, but he returned after one hour and asked me to punch him in his stomach, which I did reluctantly and he held his stomach and started to cry in pain. I didn’t understand how I hit that hard, but he was in pain for almost 10 to 15 minutes.

    After 10 to 15 minutes  he said that I am doing great and I have to practice till afternoon and went away from there and I looked at him in shock and thought, “he didn’t even ask me whether I ate anything or not,” and started hitting the punching bag.

    In the evening, Vish came and he was looking somewhat tense, he was just pretending in front of me like he was okay, but the sweat beads on his forehead were telling the other story, but I didn’t force him for anything.

“Sissy, when will the king return,” he asked and I looked at the clock and said, “maybe in half an hour or later,” and his face became pale.

“Vish, is everything okay? Any problem?” I slowly asked, with the intention of not hurting him in any way.

“Yeah, I am okay,” he said and started laughing and said, “I forgot to inform you that I am going to Goa for 10 days with my friends.”

“Really, that is very good news, you are going to enjoy it with your friends at least,” I said, “but what about dad, he will be alone for 10 days,” I thought.

“Where is dad? When will he return?” I asked and his face color changed and he smiled weirdly and said, “he will return after 10 days.”

He is telling lies, I know, but what he is trying to hide and why? He has become mysterious these days. I have to find out what is going on in the house, but how? Survi is also not there and others work only for dad and they will never share any personal information about him with me.

I took him to the garden and started to talk with him normally when Payal came and informed that the king had arrived and Vish started to run to meet him and I turned and looked at Payal and asked, “is the king in a good mood?”

“Seems though,” she said and I am afraid what if he is in a bad mood and Vish may talk something stupid and he would lash at him. I walked into the chamber and waited for him to show up and he came running and kissed me and said, “I have to leave, my friends are coming,” and went away from there.

This boy is going to kill me, he has become a mystery man for me now, he is hiding everything from me and I think he is sharing everything with the king.

The king walked into the chamber and I asked him not to inform my dad about Vish coming here and he agreed to it with the condition and I am ready for all of his conditions today, as I don’t want Vish to be in any trouble.

In the morning, he asked me to run and I started running, but I became tired after some time, but I don’t want to back off and get Vish in trouble, so, I was running slowly, and then I was about to fall and he came and hugged me tightly. I jumped on him like a baby and snaked my legs around his waist and took deep breaths and then I remembered I am feeling hungry and I thought of showing him how hungry I am. I looked into his eyes and then at his lips and I love his lips, so I thought of eating them, it is funny right, but I crashed my lips with his and started to kiss him.

Suddenly Payal came and informed him that the call was urgent and he took me to the chamber and laid me on the bed and told me something and I looked at him for sometime and said, “I will never disappoint him,” and he went to answer the call.

Something is going on in this palace and in my dad’s place, which I am unaware of, but I know nobody is going to give any information about that.

The next day, I saw they created something on the ground and I looked at it some time and observed that there were thorns and sharp stones.

The king came and stood behind me and said, “I hope you will cross this without injuring yourself,” and I turned towards him and asked, “how can I cross this without injuring myself, I will fall on them.”

“You are not going to walk on them, you are going to crawl to reach the other side,” he said looking at the setting.

“Crawl?” I asked, looking at him in shock.

“Yes, you have a very short and lean structure, I don’t think you are going to get hurt in any way and will pass this passage easily,” he said like it is nothing for him.

I became angry at his reply and said, “can you crawl without hurting yourself?” and he smirked looking at me and said, “if I will pass without hurting, then you have to pass it without injuring yourself and you will be punished for challenging the king.”

“It is bad luck that I can’t even challenge my husband,” I thought and started to walk towards it, but he held my wrist and asked, “you challenged me Queen, don’t you think I should go first?” and I looked at him in shock, but he just had a smirk on his face.

He went and laid on the ground and started to crawl and within no time he reached the other end and returned back and stood in front of me and said, “you can check if I got any injuries or not,” and raised his hands and I can see he is perfectly fine.

I made a pout and walked towards it and slowly laid on the ground and remembered every God and prayed for my protection and started crawling and in no time I reached the other end and when I was returning, I saw the thorns and stones are made of plastic and as soon as they are getting in contact with my body they are just leaving red color on me, I looked at my body and tears started to fall from my eyes and everything in front of me became blurry. I wiped off my tears and reached the end and slowly got up.

He came and looked at me from top to bottom and asked, “Now are you ready for the punishment?” and I nodded my head as yes.

“First go and bathe, I have some other work,” he said and I walked towards my chamber.

Vikram’s POV

    I know they have planned something dangerous for Chhavi and I don’t want to take any chance, wherever they leave her, I have to make a way that she reaches the orphanage and lives there with Payal and her sister.

    I asked Nihal to make arrangements and he suggested plastic thorns and stones which don’t hurt, but leave a red mark, and I happily agreed with it.

    In the morning, when I went and stood behind her, she challenged me and I also wondered what if they would hurt her, so, I took the challenge and completed the task in no time.

    After Chhavi started crawling I saw she touched some thorns and some stones and when returning I saw that she was crying, I didn’t understand what happened to her suddenly and my heart skipped a beat thinking that she might have hurt, but when I understood what she did sometime ago, a smile played on my lips.

    I asked her to go and bathe and went near the person who was hiding behind the tree for a long time and asked, “why do you always come here? Aren’t you going on a trip?”

    “Sarah is coming tomorrow morning, flight is confirmed, she canceled the ticket booked by Nihal and she made her own arrangements,” he said.

    “Let her come, don’t you think she is your sister and not Chhavi?” I asked.

    “I want to stay here with Chhavi till Sarah is here,” he said or we can say declared and started to walk towards my chamber.

    “You are not allowed to stay here Prince, you are going to make things more complicated,” I said sternly.

    “I love her, I know Sarah’s intentions are not good,” he snapped.

    “I am there to take care of everything, she is my wife now,” I said.

    “I just want to stay with her, please allow me,” he pleaded.

    “No, and it is my order,” I said and walked towards my chamber and called Nihal and asked him to drop Prince Vishnu at his palace.

    I know it is going to just complicate everything here, I can’t allow anyone between me and Chhavi, not even his brother.
