Chapter 7: Treat

Akihiko woke up on a Zoe’s blue lumpy sofa feeling incredibly happy. Last night had been amazing, Zoe and him had done nothing but kiss and talked, but Akihiko felt contented for the first time in his life.

“I wondered when you would awake” Zoe said handing Akihiko a cup of coffee. Akihiko sat up and took the mug. He also took a moment to take in the wonderful view. Zoe was in a vest top and some PJ bottoms that clung her curves. Akihiko could not wait to explore her curves.

“Well I was kept up last night by a Siren” Akihiko said with a smile

“Oh really? A Siren you say?” Zoe said smirking 

“Yes, one with skin like the moonlight and hair as black as the midnight sky. Don’t get me started on her incredibly soft lips” Akihiko said in a flirty tone.

Zoe blushed and Akihiko chuckled. “You silly fool!” Zoe said rolling her eyes.

“Well this fool wants to spend the day with you” Akihiko said pulling Zoe down next to him on the sofa.

“Really? What about this Siren from last night? I think I might be washing my hair today” Zoe said with a teasing smile. Akihiko chuckled as he put down the cup and leaned in for a kiss. Zoe tilted her head, but Akihiko stopped just before his lips touched hers. 

“Say yes my little dragon”  Akihiko whispered.

“Hmm I might need a bit more persuasion” Zoe said back, fluttering her eyelashes. Two could play at this game Zoe thought. Akihiko brought his hand up and gently stroked her cheek.

“You are so beautiful” Akihiko murmured looking into Zoe’s blue eyes.  Akihiko thought he could stare into them for the rest of his days. 

Suddenly, there was a knock at the front door. Zoe jumped back.

“Leave it” Akihiko growled as Zoe got up. He was enjoying these games too much to let them stop without protest.

“It could be important!” Zoe said walking and unlocking the front door.

“Dave! What can I do for you? Do you want to come in for a coffee?” Zoe said

“Why not? We need to have a serious talk” Dave said moodily. He looked like he had not got much sleep last night.

“Well come in, you know your way round” Zoe said cheerfully. 

Dam it! Akihiko thought hearing Dave’s footsteps coming into the living room.

“What did you want to talk about?” Zoe called from the kitchen over the banging of cupboards.

“It is about Akihiko, I have come to warn you he can’t be trusted” Dave said walking into the living room.

“Oh really David and why would that be?” Akihiko said sipping his coffee.

“YOU!” Dave growled

“Yes me!” Akihiko said glaring.

“Is everything alright?” Zoe asked carrying another mug looking confused “I am sorry, I could not hear you over the kettle. What did you want to talk about?” 

“Oh, nothing lass. Just wanted to see if you wanted some extra shifts at the bar over the festive period?” Dave quickly said.

“Oh Dave that would be amazing! I can work nights New Years Eve week” Zoe said excited. She could always use the extra cash.

“Well I know Bill need some vet treatment for his eyes. Vets are never cheap” Dave said putting on a fake smile.

“No they are not, thank you so much!” Zoe said 

“Sadly she will not be able to work that week” Akihiko said smoothly 

“Oh why is that?” Dave said glaring at Akihiko

“Because she will be spending that time with me” Akihiko said

“And why should she be doing that?” Dave said

“Because she is my girlfriend, especially after last night” Akihiko said with a smile and sipped his coffee again.

“Akihiko!” Zoe said shocked as she went bright red.

“Don’t worry my Little Dragon, I will pay for Bill’s expenses. As your partner, it would be my privilege to take care of you of all your needs”  Akihiko said getting up and kissing Zoe on the cheek before putting a possessive arm around her.

“I see” Dave said frowning.

That’s it Dave, I won’t be giving her up without a fight!  Akihiko thought 

“What the hell is going on?” Zoe said.

“Just a misunderstanding about times, that is all sweetheart. Isn’t that right Dave?” Akihiko said sweetly.

“Yes, indeed. I see myself out Zoe, please do not trouble yourself” Dave said as he passed his empty mug and walked out. 

Zoe sighed and said “ Akihiko! That was not very nice”

Akihiko growled and turned her to face him. “Whoever said I was nice Zoe?” Akihiko said. I will never be nice when it comes to keeping you he thought.

“Me! I don’t understand what just happened” Zoe said confused

“Nothing to worry about. Now go up and get changed into something causal. You need to pack your swim wear and an overnight bag” 

“Why?” Zoe asked 

“Because I am going to spend the day treating you as I should!” Akihiko said folding his arms.

“Fine,  Keep your secrets!” Zoe muttered as she went to her room. Zoe doing as she was told came down in some black trousers and long sleeved t shirt. She had her swimming costume rolled up in her gym bag.

Akihiko was ready and waiting as well. He smiled and they both walked out the house.

“When am I going to see my competition?” Akihiko asked 

“Competition?” Zoe asked confused

“Bill the cat” Akihiko said amused

“Oh he is mostly feral, like most males I know! He will come in when he wants” Zoe said with a shrug.

Zoe and Akihiko continued to talk until Akihiko parked up.

“You are kidding? We going to spend the day at the Green Jasmine?” Zoe said shocked. Green Jasmine was the most expensive and exclusive Spa on the whole of the island. It was owned by a Japanese family and It normally for celebrities who wanted to get away from it all.

“Correction, we are spending a couple nights here” Akihiko said getting out of the car. There was a line of Spar Employees awaiting their arrival.

“Welcome Emperor, you honour us with your visit” A petite Japanese girl said bowing her head.

“We are very please to welcome you and your servant to our facilities” Another Employee said bowing their head.

“Emperor? Servant?” Zoe snapped. She was no ones servant! 

“There have just mistranslated my name love. Why don’t you just go inside for a minute, it is a little chilly out here” Akihiko said with a smile.

“OK, because that is not weird at all Akihiko” Zoe said with a weird look. The employees eyes widen with shock at this women’s causal manner.

“Riiiight, not weird at all” Zoe muttered as she went into the lobby.

As soon as Zoe was out of earshot, Akihiko turned to look at the employees with a furious glare.

“I told you not to use my title!” Akihiko snapped

“We are sorry, Emperor we just did not want to show any disrespect..” One Employee said nervously.

“What like calling my Girlfriend a servant?” Akihiko spat and the employees now looked terrified.

“Please Emperor..” A senior looking employee said

“Do not f**k up again or their be consequences! You will treat Zoe with all the respect of a Emperor’s partner. Understand?” Akihiko commanded and they all nodded quickly. Akihiko turned and walked into the lobby. 

“Are we going to talk about what just happened? Your name translates as shining prince, not Emperor. Or did you forget I am fluent in Japanese?” Zoe said eying Akihiko suspiciously.

“Then you know that local dialects can have slightly different meanings” Akihiko bluffed.

“What like the meaning of bull s**t? Fine, keep your secrets, it is not like I don’t have a few” Zoe said with a sigh as they went to a counter.

“Your keys Sir. Please enjoy your stay and let us know if you need anything” The receptionist said.

“Here is your room key Zoe, shall we get settled in?” Akihiko said. Zoe looked down at the keys cards and was disappointed that they weren’t the same number.
