Eric Parker :
"I'm not drunk, but I need to sleep so that I can save my energy for tomorrow." Miles said.
"Alright, since you're so into your theme park project, I'll help you out." I told Miles.
"Are you serious?" Miles exclaimed.
"I don't lie and I always help you." I said confidently.
"You actually interested in my theme park." Miles laughed.
"So do you want some?" I showed Miles the wine bottle and he nodded.
"How about you two? Kevin? Chris?" I asked them.
"I'm the one who brought these glasses here so what do you think?" Kevin said and I pulled the wine into his glass and into Chris' too.
"I might need you guys to help me with something in the future." I said seriously.
"What is it?" Chris raised his eyebrows.
"I'm not sure about it too, but I might need your help so whenever I ask you to do something in the future, make sure that you can help me."
"You look serious all of a sudden." Kevin chuckled.
"I'm kind of curious. What is it that makes you this worried? I'm sure that it's not a business matter." Miles said.
"Of course, it's not a business matter." I said.
"A genius like you and Chris have no problem when it comes to business or work. But, I have a feeling that it's about love or private matter, isn't it?" Kevin pointed out a reason.
"It's a family matter." I finally told them.
"What is it?" Miles asked.
"Actually, I don't really want to tell you about this matter since you guys have already figured it out, I'll tell you." I paused and sipped the red wine in my hand.
"Your parents are so nice. Why do you have problem with them?" Kevin asked.
"That force me to marry someone." I finally said it out and sighed.
"What?" Miles surprised.
"Mr. and Mrs. Parker, want you to marry someone?" Chris was also shocked.
"I only heard that they force you to meet your matchmaking partner, but I never expect this." Kevin said.
I stayed silent and looked at my friends helplessly.
"Why don't you try to reject them at first?" Miles raised his eyebrows.
"You think he didn't reject?" Chris asked Miles back.
"What makes you think that I didn't reject them?" I also asked Miles.
"....." Miles didn't say anything.
"Now, my mom and I, we're having a challenge or we can call it a game." I said which drew everyone's attention.
"Tell me more!" Chris said.
"My parents keep saying that the woman they want me to marry isn't like the other woman. She's their best friend's daughter. I met her once." I told them.
"What game are you playing with your mom?" Kevin looked curious.
"If I stay with that woman for more than 30 minutes, then I'll marry her, but if she didn't stay with me for more than 30 minutes, then my mother has no right to force me to marry her or any other girl again." I quickly explained the rule of the game.
"It doesn't sound that difficult to you." Chris said.
"I know. I'm just telling you if I need help, don't forget to come and help me." I demanded.
"Ok!" Chris said.
"Bro, I always help you and you always help me too so there's no problem about this." said Kevin.
"Are you really not going to get married for the rest of your life?" Miles looked at me with his sad eyes.
"Told you guys that I have no interest in women." I said coldly when I remembered what happened to me.
"Eric, I know that Courtney broke your heart and leave a scar there, but you should learn from it and start to open your heart once again." Chris said sincerely.
"Chris, you're the who doesn't believe in love and always think that love is useless and now, what now?" I stared at him.
"I'm learning how to love and how to care and now it's time for you to learn how to open your heart." Chris chuckled.
"I admit that I was wrong with that thought." Chris continued.
"Kevin, I think the world is going upside down. These two are weird." Miles talked to Kevin.
Kevin agreed with Miles and he nodded. "Chris talks about love and Eric seems like he no longer believe in love. I think these two have switched." Kevin said.
"True!" Miles said and raised his glass wine to clink with Kevin's. They sipped their wine and looked at my face and Chris'.
"Hey, you two. Don't think that I don't hear what you said." I shouted at them.
"It's not a secret so it's okay if you hear it." Miles said and winked at me.
"You sometimes spend your time with your girlfriend and never show me her face. What about that?" I asked Miles.
"...." Miles didn't say anything.
"Not just that, he always changes his woman." Chris smirked.
"He likes to spoiled woman." Kevin said.
"Now, it looks like you three are attacking me." Miles frowned.
"Why don't you answer my question then?" I raised my eyebrows and looked at Miles.
"You guys don't have to worry about me. Chris, I change my woman all the time, it's because I haven't found the right one." Miles said.
"But why do you spoil those woman?" Kevin asked.
"Spoil? I didn't spoil them. I just gave them money so they can go shopping or do things that they want. I don't like those woman to come stick with me like a glue. That's why I use money and always say that 'I'm busy with my work so I can't spend time with them'. That's my only excuse." Miles laughed at himself.
"You're stupid, Miles. What a waste!" I said and made a disgusted face.
"When I find the right one, I'll definitely show you guys." Miles said dreamingly.
"Are you sure that you're going to find the right one?" Kevin teased Miles.
"I'll show you that I will find one." Miles grinned at Kevin.
"But it's kind of funny. If the faces of your women is a trend, then I'll definitely can't catch up with that trend." Kevin laughed.
Chris and I also laughed at what Kevin just said. Then, we stopped when we saw the angry face of Miles.
"I'm kidding, Miles." Kevin said when he noticed that Miles was angry. He bent his head down when Miles stared at him.
We laughed when we looked at Kevin and Miles. After Miles realized that what Kevin said is all true and funny, he also laughed at himself and no longer feel angry.
