The week rolled by pretty fast with school shopping. Everyone had helped and finally I was all ready. I hadn't bought anything major because Janice and I had planned to buy those together and it would be much more practical if we bought them in California than to buy them and pay extra luggage to the airline.
I was currently doing my last minute packing, Aunt Emily and I were heading out on the first flight out of Havana which was super early but it was understandable with the two hour time difference. I zipped my last bag, checking my notepad to see if I had checked off every bag.
A knock on the door interrupted me and not bothering to look up, I yelled for whoever it was to come in, my eyes still on my pad.
"Wow... you're all packed." I spun around to see Mother staring down at my ba
