Chapter 7Jace entered the tattoo parlor ten minutes after it opened Friday morning. He was the only person there, other than two employees. One of them was at the counter, the other sat on a stool in a small room off the main one, which also held a reclining chair and a table for his tools. There were books with designs for tats on the counter, as well as pictures behind it and on the wall across the room. Jace opened one of the books, waiting for the man to approach. He did, asking, “Looking for something specific?” “Yes.” Jace took the two photos of Loman from his wallet, laying them on the counter. “This man. I was told he paid you a visit about a week ago.” The man glanced at the photos and shrugged. “Could be. Why are you interested in him?” “He’s involved in a case I’m working.”
