My Birth Right

Chapter 9: Awake

               *Lilith P.O.V.*

               I stood frozen for a second “Move!” I heard Ilene yell at me, I got out of the way in time but tripped “damn these heels” I said annoyed as I took them off before my grandfather turned around and attacked again. “I wasn’t expecting you to move so fast, your vampire side must be crawling its way out” he said so casually. If my vampire side is coming out, then that means I might just be fast enough to get out of here. “I can see you’re thinking of getting out, but the whole place is surrounded, you won’t have a chance” he smiled and laughed before he charged at me again, once again I moved out of his way getting faster each time. “Are you just going to avoid me this whole time, or are you going to attack me as well?” he sounded annoyed. If I attack, there’s a chance that he can grab me then it’ll be all over for me. I suddenly felt like a surge of power was running through my veins and I didn’t know what it was, I felt like I could take him?

               I decided to wait till he tried attacking me again, he ran up to me and swung his right arm over my left side trying to catch my neck on his hand, I dodged it barely and moved my head back then brought it back up as fast as I moved it and punched him on his back. I took him by surprise, and he fell face first on the floor. He looked up at me glaring, his eyes started to change to a black color. Oh no, he’s shifting into the winged creature, I got scared. Then I felt hot all over, what is happening? I thought to myself. all I could hear was my wolf growling inside my head. I felt a sharp pain run all the way down my spine, I dropped on all fours and my body started twisting and breaking. I’m shifting I thought, my God! I’m really shifting. Cathy had said that shifting could take minutes, sometimes hours, but for me it only felt like a few seconds. I was standing on four legs, I now had paws in front of me instead of hands. I looked over at the mirror that was on the wall, and I saw the most beautiful wolf I had ever seen. My fur was a grayish silver that seemed to sparkle, and instead of having yellow eyes like all wolves had, my eyes were blue, my wolf was standing at almost 6 feet tall, strong, and fierce looking.

               “Ilene you’re beautiful” “We are beautiful, I’m as much part of you as you are me” I smiled at her comment. I heard a growl and remembered that I was still in the middle of a fight, I looked over at my grandfather and he was pissed “How is this possible?... You’re not supposed to shift yet, you have until tomorrow” he spat out “I guess my wolf sensed that I was in danger and decided to come out early” I said back, but in my head and he was able to hear me, was it because we’re family? “NOOO!” he screamed as he charged at me again this time his wings coming out making him faster than he was before. I held my stance and waited for him to get closer, when he was a few feet in front of me I jumped at him attacking his wings. I bit into one of his wings while my claws stabbed at his sides. He started flying all over the room trying to get me off, but I held on. I bit harder into his wing and we fell to the floor, bumping me off his back in the process.

               He stood up and just glared at me trying to think of his next move, I got distracted with some commotion that was going on outside, he took it as his chance and attacked me, pinning me to the ground with his wings stabbed into my shoulders. I let out a loud howl of pain, he showed me his fangs and started moving closer to me, he was about to suck my blood when the doors burst open and a big black wolf ran up to grandfather and tackled him to the ground. He tried to get back up, but the wolf wouldn’t let him, he bit down hard onto one of his wings and ripped it off with ease making blood spread all over the floor around him. Grandfather made a loud shrieking noice that blurred my vision for a moment, and it did the same to the wolf; he tried to run away with the distraction but the wolf got himself together and launched at him again ripping his other wing off. Grandfather fell to the floor, blood spilling out of his back where his wings used to be, a big pool of blood forming under him.

               The wolf looked back at me “Mate” my wolf said, I started walking towards him. My injuries had already healed so I was having no problem walking to him. I paid close attention to his wolf; he was over 6 feet tall, his fur black with a shade of blue, and his eyes yellow like all other wolves. I heard him make a soft growl, he was aware that I was checking him out in his wolf form. I had been too distracted that I had not seen my grandfather get up. My eyes widened at the horror that I was staring at, and I was too slow, he took a silver knife out and stabbed my mate close to the heart. I growled in his direction and jumped at him ready to attack, but he was too fast and left, No! I thought to myself, he got away. I shifted back into my human form not caring that I was naked, every other wolf was still outside fighting the other vampires. I lifted his giant head and hugged him; he was whimpering in pain. I started crying, no, how could this happen I just met him yesterday and now I was losing him. I don’t even know his name, he slowly shifted back into his human form. He was too weak, his wolf was dying, he was dying “you’re so beautiful” he lifted a hand to caress my cheek, I couldn’t help but cry more at that.  

               “It’s ok beautiful, don’t cry. At least I got to see you one last time” he weakly said. “Don’t say that” I managed to say with all my crying “you’re voice, it’s so sweet” why was he being like this? “We can save him” “Ilene?” “we can save him, our blood can heal him, you just have to feed it to him” “Our blood?” “Yes, our blood has special healing abilities, it will heal him make him stronger and faster too” Ilene said, I stopped crying and looked him in the eyes. Wow he has beautiful green eyes I thought to myself again “You’re going to be okay, I’m going to heal you” I told him, he looked at me confused. I summoned my fangs out and bit into my wrist to get the blood out, it hurt but it was worth it if it meant that I got to save him. I brought my wrist up to his mouth “drink” I told him, he looked at me questioningly “it’ll heal you, please drink it” I begged him. He took my wrist in his hand and brought it up to his mouth and started sucking on my blood, instantly his wound started to heal, I took my wrist back when his wound completely closed up. “woah” I heard him say, he sounded much better. I threw my arms around him in a hug, forgetting that we were still naked.

               “Hello Lilith” I broke the hug and looked at him confused “you know my name?” he laughed “yes, I am here with your uncle Derek. We’re here to rescue you” “you got that right” I turned around and see my uncle walking up to us with some clothes on his hand. Oh s**t! I’m still naked I thought to myself, I quickly put my hands around my body trying to hide. My uncle looked away as he handed me an oversized shirt, and my mate some shorts. After I put the shirt on, I stood up and tapped my uncle on his shoulder so he could look now. He smiled at me and gave me a big hug “Oh Lilith, I am so sorry this happened to you again, I should’ve been there with you” “it’s ok uncle, it’s not your fault” I said reassuring. All the other warriors started walking into the room, I heard a yell and saw Cathy running up to me. She took me in a hug and started crying “Lilith, I am so sorry I wasn’t able to protect you, or find you right away after you got taken” she started getting sad and a few tears fell from her eyes “It’s ok Cathy, you’re here now. Thank you” she hugged me again and went up to a man and held his hand while blushing. I looked at her questioningly “I found my mate” she smiled big “ahhh I’m so happy for you” I walked up to her again and gave her one last hug. My mate came up behind me and grabbed my hand while smiling down at me, I couldn’t help but blush.

               “Well should we get out of here?” Uncle Derek said “yes, let’s go home” my mate said. I looked over at him and wondered why I hadn’t asked for his name yet; I just keep calling him my mate and it’s weird because he even knows my name. “so um, what’s your name?” I shyly asked, he looked at me confused, then realized he hadn’t introduced himself yet. “I’m so sorry I haven’t introduced myself, I got caught up in all of this” he motioned to the room that was full of werewolves now, I let out a small laugh “My name Is Adrian Crow, I am the Alpha of Bloodmoon pack” he finally said. Wow an Alpha. “He’s perfect” Ilene purred in my head. I looked up at him and thought yes, he is and smiled. “Nice to meet you Adrian, I’m Lilith” he smiled back at me “nice to officially meet you Lilith” he then lifted me up in his arms bridal style taking me completely by surprise and making me blush again.

               We were all making our way outside when we heard a loud bang coming from inside the castle. We all turned to see if we saw anything “what was that?” Uncle Derek asked. Then one of the towers of the castle started crumbling down. “Let’s not stick around to find out” Adrian said, we turned back around and started walking into the forest. As I looked into the distance, I saw Raven? And a man standing next to her waiting for something. She looked back at me, a look of relief washed over her face, was she waiting for us? “Lilith I am so glad you are safe” she said to me “Raven? What are you doing here? Last time I saw you, you ran away after kicking me out of your bar” I said the last part annoyed. She gave me an apologetic look “I’m sorry, I was scared. You see Ciaran killed my entire coven, and I was under the impression that he was going to look for me too since I am the last survivor” she sadly stated “I’m sorry Raven” I apologized to her “no, no, you don’t have to apologize for anything. If anything I am the one who should be apologizing to you for the way I treated you” she said “well I don’t think you need to apologize either” I gave Adrian a look to put me down, as he did I walked up to Raven and gave her a hug.

               After we broke the hug, she got all serious again “Alright, are we ready?” she addressed everyone “yes, let’s go home” Adrian said. She nodded and walked up to the guy she was standing next to, after a chant a big circle appeared in between them that showed my Uncle’s castle. My eyes widened in amazement; I had never seen anything like this. “so? Who’s first?” wolves started walking through the portal, we stayed back waiting for the others to make it first before we did, I refused to go first, even if they had come to rescue me. There were maybe about 100 left when we heard a shriek coming from the castle. Could he still be alive after losing that much blood? I thought to myself. but when we looked up at the sky it wasn’t my grandfather we saw; it was a much scarier looking creature with an evil aura around it. He had bloodlust written all over its face “Hurry get in the portal” my Uncle Derek yelled. Everyone started running to get through and he pushed me and Adrian through the portal “NOO!” I yelled as we passed through the portal.

               I got up fast trying to go back, but the portal was gone. “NOO!” I yelled again and started crying, Adrian came up to me and took me in a hug, I just cried into his chest. “I just saw him again, and now I’m probably not going to see him again ever” I said to no one in particular. He tightened his arms around me not knowing what to say, having him this close to me made me feel better though. Just as I was starting to calm down Raven and the warlock appeared with my Uncle, Cathy, and her mate. “Uncle!” I ran up to them, they were in bad shape. My Uncle was passed out, barely had a heartbeat and he looked like he had been almost drained of his blood, Cathy and her mate had scratches and bites everywhere, with a few broken bones. As beat up as Raven and the warlock looked, they stood up and chanted something, I looked up and a barrier formed all around the castle, probably to protect us from whoever that creature was. I bit into my wrist again and this time I gave my uncle some of my blood, I could hear his heartbeat steady, but he wasn’t waking up. “He needs time to rest, but he’ll wake up” Ilene told me. I sighed in relief.

               After the barrier was put up, Raven did another spell to heal herself and the warlock then walked up to us “what happened?” Adrian asked “the creature was looking for Lilith and attacked Derek taking his powers, he killed the rest of the wolves, he was so fast. If it wasn’t for Raven and Dominick, we would’ve never made it” Cathy’s mate said. “Thank you, Darrion, you and Cathy should go to the pack hospital and get looked at, maybe get some rest” “yes Alpha” he responded back. “Cathy are you ok?” I helped her up to her feet with the help of Darrion. “yeah, this is nothing” she brushed off like it was nothing “I’ll see you later ok?” “Ok” I said back as they were walking away. “Alright! Training starts now” Raven suddenly turned to me and clapped her hands together “Training?” I asked confused. “Yes, you’re going to learn how to use your magic” I was speechless “woah, woah, woah. Magic?” “yes, being the hybrid gives you magical powers and you’re going to need to learn how to use them” she stood up straight said a chant then suddenly we were somewhere else “where are we?” I asked alarmed “no need to worry, we are in a time space. Here I will train you and back in the real world it will seem like no time passed at all, that way you will be ready for whenever that creature decides to attack again.”

               *Vladimir P.O.V.*

               I felt a sudden shift of power running through my decomposed veins, I’m finally awake I managed a smile on my face. I got out of my coffin and smelled the sweet smell of blood; I felt my eyes dilate. Driven by the hunger, I busted the cell door open where I had been locked by my son right after I started decomposing for hibernation. Right at the entrance stood two guards who I quickly devoured, I started getting some of my strength back, but I need more. Vampires were running away while others were fighting, as they were coming my way, I snatched whoever I could and drained them of their blood, then dropping them dead. After eating about a hundred of them I was finally back to my old self, I stood up straight and inhaled deeply, my eyes widened when I got a hint of my son’s blood. I used my super speed to get to where he was, he was struggling to get away, his wings had been ripped off and he was losing too much blood. His injuries were not healing fast enough, I laughed as he turned to me looking scared, then anger filled his face.

               I walked up to him, amused with the look he was giving me “how are you awake?” he asked me, I stopped walking “oh is it not time for me to wake up yet?” I smiled at him knowing well that I woke up early. “cut the bull-s**t father, you know it’s not your time yet” he angrily spat at me. I looked at him for a minute and decided to tell him “there was a very powerful feeling that woke me up, and gave me the strength I needed to get up, since I can’t rely on you to feed me” “why the f**k would I want you awake after what you did to my mate” he yelled at me. I could feel all of his emotions running through my veins, I smiled, he’s tasted the sweet Gemini blood. I walked up to him and grabbed him by the neck and made him stand up. “you are weak, how could my own son care for something so worthless” I spat in his face. This seemed to get him angrier “you wouldn’t know what it is like to have somebody love you, and then ripped apart from you by your own father” he said back, his strength starting to leave him. I smiled at him “that’s where you are wrong my child, you see my father did the same thing to me. That is why I am the way that I am” I let out a laugh. He widened his eyes, then suddenly turned to anger then he tried to attack me. “you are not worthy to be my son” and I stabbed my fangs into his neck and sucked all of his blood.

               As I was sucking his blood, I saw his memories, “so he killed his own daughters” I chuckled, “how ruthless” I saw that there is a Gemini that exists in this time, I will hunt him down. And what is this? A hybrid child? Perfect I smiled to myself. after I take her blood, I will be the most powerful being ever to exist. She is probably the one with the power that woke me up. “My great granddaughter huh? Well I think it’s time that we meet” I said out loud to myself as I smiled. I took my wings out and shifted flying in the way that I felt her power. As I was nearing her, a witch and a warlock had a portal up with werewolves passing through it, getting away from vampire lands. I sped up wanting to catch her and drag her away from the rest of them, but one of the men pushed her and another into the portal and it closed just as I was about to grab her. I hit the witch and the warlock with my wings knocking them both out, I turned around and instantly got attacked by the remaining werewolves that remained. They were no match for me though, I took them all out instantly except for the Alpha. “well, well, well why didn’t you run away with the others Gemini?” I said amused by the fact he thought he could take me on “my name is Derek if you must know” he growled back at me “if we are doing formalities, then allow me to introduce myself… I am Vladimir, king of the vampires” I hissed the word vampires “now tell me wolf… where is my great granddaughter?” I emphasized the word wolf to piss him off “my niece is not going anywhere near you” he then launched at me shifting in midair trying to take a chunk out of my face, I managed to dodge him barely but I quickly turned around and struck him on the back with one of my wings stabbing him.  

               He was a fighter though; he turned around quickly and took a bite out of my wing taking me by surprise, I flicked my wing and threw him against a tree. He is fast for being the only survivor; Either I am still recovering, or his twin is still alive. Yes, that has to be it, the twin is still alive somewhere. I smiled to myself but not for long as I heard him growl and launched at me again. “Enough of this” I angrily yelled at him and caught him midair with both my wings “I will drain you and your brother of your blood, and then I will find the girl and drain her too” I sunk my teeth into the big wolf’s neck. Suddenly I was attacked from behind. Two wolves that I hadn’t noticed before, they both bit me on the shoulders, I took my wings out of the Gemini and hit both of them knocking them off, I stalked towards them, but before I got to them the warlock appeared and disappeared with both of them. I turned around and the wolf was gone as well as the witch I had knocked down earlier. “Damn those witches” I yelled into the trees. Those wolves must of hid until they saw the perfect opportunity to attack and then escaped. No matter, thanks to the blood I took from the Gemini I was able to see where they were going. I would recover my strength and heal my injuries before my attack.

               *Lilith P.O.V.*

               The time space was in a totally different dimension, we were out on an open field the grass was so green and looked really nice. The sky was what really caught my attention, even though it looked like it was sunny the sky was a dark blue color with several moons equally spaced, and what seemed like galaxies. “Can’t I at least take a shower or something before we start? I’m covered in blood” I asked after I finished looking around. “No” Raven suddenly yelled at me scaring me a little bit, I looked at her confused and she spoke again, “do you think the enemy is going to give you a break so that you can smell nice?” she had a serious tone to her now and honestly I was starting to get mad “Are you f*****g serious right now?” I yelled at her, she suddenly went invisible, then I felt a hard punch to the face and fell on the ground. “the enemy is not going to wait for you, or did you forget already that you got kidnapped while you were not paying attention” her voice was fierce, strong, and full of confidence. “Don’t you think you’re taking this a little too far?” Adrian asked while helping me up. She didn’t answer instead she punched him straight in the face too earning her a growl from him.

               “It looks like we’re not getting out of here until we beat her ass or do something” Ilene said in my head. “you’re right” I stood up and summoned all of my senses at once, I closed my eyes and listened for any movement. I heard nothing for what seemed like minutes then I heard her running at me, I felt like she was going to throw a kick to the stomach, so I jumped up taking her by surprise. She was still trying to figure out what happened by the time I came back down, so I threw a punch of my own and I’m pretty sure I broke her nose. She got faster and kept attacking, I kept avoiding and attacking back; she managed to get a few hits after that but not too many to actually count, by the end I was able to tell where she was with my eyes open. “That was really good, you’re a fast learner” she was out of breath and so was I. “alright, we should all probably take a shower before continuing to the next lesson, you all reek” a small locker room appeared out of nowhere. Relief washed over me as the hot water washed all of the blood away, this was the best shower I had ever taken.

               After we were all fresh and clean, we went back out to the field and the locker room disappeared. “alright” Raven clapped her hands together “now we are going to work on summoning your magic” Raven said. I was going to ask for a break first, but surprisingly I didn’t feel tired or worn out; I felt nice and ready to go. “Witches get their magic from the energies that surround us. Be it the earth itself, the wind, water, anything you can think of, even space; then there are the types who can use the energy on other people. But we won’t talk about that.” This time it was Dominick that spoke, “for me it was a little hard to connect with the energy around me since I am half vampire. But once I got the hang of it, using magic is as easy as breathing air, also it took a lot of meditating” he said “meditating. Do we really have time for that?” I asked concerned about what was going on in the outside world “we’re in a time space, we can be here as long as we need to, and no time at all would have passed back in our world” he smiled at me and I just looked at him weird, I really didn’t want to meditate. “Now get comfortable and start meditating, Adrian is going to keep an eye on you to make sure you’re doing it right” “wait are you leaving?” I sounded alarmed by his comment “Raven and I have to go check on Cole and see if we can wake him up, but don’t worry we’ll be back” and with that they both left leaving me and Adrian alone.

               *Adrian P.O.V.*

               Being alone with her is probably all I wanted to do since I laid eyes on her, but not under these circumstances. It killed me that I had to watch her all day just meditate when all I wanted to do was kiss her right here, right now. I sighed out loud and saw that she twitched a little bit, she could probably hear the tiniest of sounds in the state that she was in. I laid back on the grass and closed my eyes, maybe she won’t notice if I take a little nap. I was starting to doze off when I felt her getting closer to me, I opened my eyes and looked to my side, she was laying right next to me just staring. “Well hello beautiful” I said to her “Hi” she shyly said, “you know we haven’t really gotten to know each other since we met, and honestly my wolf just wants to be close to you, its driving me crazy” she blushed as the words came out of her mouth. “Claim her now!” Damon screamed in my head “you know” I said “I’ve been wanting to kiss you ever since I laid eyes on you” I added. Her eyes flashed dark meaning that her wolf wanted to take over, but they quickly turned back to her beautiful brown color. She leaned closer to me and kissed me. It felt like electricity was running through my body, this feeling was amazing, Damon was howling in my head agreeing with the amazing feeling we were both feeling; after all she was his mate too.

               I kissed her back, I grabbed her by the waist and pulled her on top of me. I don’t know what came over both of us, but I couldn’t stop, I wanted more of her. Her lips were intoxicating and delicious. Her scent filled my nostrils and Damon was close to getting out, but I pushed him back. I was not going to let him ruin this moment, he could have his turn after. Lilith broke the kiss, sat up and took her shirt off, she then leaned back down and started kissing me again. She grabbed my shirt and slipped it off, damn these clothes, I yelled in my head. “I agree” stated Damon “rip them off” he growled. I bit Lilith on the bottom lip and heard her moan, f**k this I said in my head. I held on to her and flipped her on her back with me on top and ripped off her shorts and panties. She took off her bra then started working on my pants. She was probably thinking the same thing because after struggling for a bit, she ripped them off of me as well. I smiled at her and looked into her eyes. Damn I could get lost in those eyes. She grabbed onto my neck and pulled me closer to her, “Adrian” she whispered in my ear making my d**k harder than it was. I put my hands under her knees lifting her closer to me and slid my shaft into her p***y. Her moans were music to my ears, she felt amazing she was so wet.

               I kept pounding on her “faster” she barely managed to whisper, I rocked my hips faster, she arched her back and closed her eyes moaning with pleasure. I rubbed her clit as I started pounding faster and faster, I felt her walls clench and knew that she was close “f**k baby, you feel so good” she scratched my back and let out a scream, at that I exploded into her and pulled her closer to my chest as she released all of her juices onto my d**k. She softly kissed my neck and I did the same, I took my fangs out and bit her giving her my mark, at the same time I felt her mark me. I felt her orgasm again and we both laid on the ground exhausted, marking your mate usually takes all of your energy away. I looked over at her and she was smiling at me, I smiled back, wrapped her in a hug and we both fell asleep.
