"Zio, glad you came," I hugged him as he kissed my temple. He did the same to Nana Mena. We sat down on the sofa. Nana had prepared the drinks on the center table when I told her Zio was coming over for lunch. Though she wouldn't say it, she was glad to hear the news since she was looking forward to the weekend for his visit. He was in his casual khaki shorts and white shirt. A simple man who enjoyed fishing and working out in his free time. He was the type of person who prioritized health over wealth. "When will Alessandro be home? I hope he's informed of my visit. I don't want to surprise him and be thrown out that door," he chuckled, trying to lighten the mood. Nana Mena sat next to him, touched his arm, and patted him gently with the flat of her hand with tenderness in her eyes.
