Chapter 11 Ryan

I was very anxious, the time to pick up Alexis and Ben was near and i didn't know what to expect with Ben. I know he liked me but would he like me dating his sister after all she was become a mother figure to him and whatever she did impact him greatly.

I was on my way to pick up lunch and decided to stop at expresso's cafe for coffee and a milkshake for Ben, I already knew what they liked so i made my way to the counter just to find Kristen there.

"hey Ryan" she greeted 

"hey Kris”i answered "can i have a cup of Americano, one Chai latte and a chocolate milkshake to go."

I could see her lifting her brows questioning my order, and of course knowing her she will not hesitate in asking.

"so who is the milkshake and latte for" she asked

there it was good old Kristen being her nosy self as usual.

"Kristen can i please have my order and stop being so nosy" i said

she handed me my order and i walked out waving back at her without saying a word.

a few minutes later i was parked outside Alexis house, i could see Ben running down the driveway yell my name.

i could help smiling and getting out the jeep to greet him, he came running and jumped straight into my arms.

"hey buddy " i said to him

"Ryan, Ryan" he said excitedly "Alexis said that you are taking us to the lake, but she wont tell me where the lake is"

I laughed, i could see his little lips forming into a pout.

Alexis came running out of the house, she looked beautiful. her hair was loose and the outfit she was wearing took my breath away.

"Ben you need to be careful next time" she said "don't run out of the house like that, you can get hurt"

she set her bags into the back seat of the jeep before acknowledging my presence.

"hi" she said giving me a small peck on the cheek

I put Ben into the car seat i had set up for him and handed her the cup of latte, i got behind the driver seat and handed Ben his milkshake.

"chocolate milkshake, my favorite" he yelled "Alexis Ryan bought me milkshake"

this kid has the energy of two and not one, he never seems to ease down.

i pointed to the bag at his foot "i also brought you legos to build a boat once we are at the lake" i told him

his eyes opened wide and he smiled while still managing to sip on his shake.

"what am i going to do with you both" said Alexis rolling her eyes

"love us" i replied "all you can do is love us both"

she leaned in and for the first time since last night kissed me, i smiled and drove off heading towards the lake.
