Chapter 12 Alexis

as we drove towards the lake, I couldn't help wondering when i had i become so lucky, having Ryan in my life was one of of the best decision i had ever made.

"what are you thinking about" asked Ryan waking me out of my trance

"just thinking about how lucky i am of having such an amazing man in my life" i confessed

he took my hand in his and gave it a quick squeeze.

"i am the lucky one" he said

i took a quick glance at Ben who was fast asleep in his car seat, the milkshake really did a work on him.

"I didn't know what to do with Ben, my life was never supposed to be like this, but everyone here has made it a lot easier for me" i said

"I believe now that taking care of my baby brother was the right choice" i told him

"I believe all the choices you have made so far are the right ones" he responded "and it proves that you are brave and responsible and amazing" 

"Ryan" i said "do you really believe this will work out between us" i asked

"i do" he answered "i really do"

after hearing him say that i felt a bit more at ease, i don't know why i even thought it would be a problem but now i was convinced.

it took us about an hour about but we arrived to the lake, as we were pulling into the main entrance a big sign greeted Welcome to Lake Louise, suddenly my breath got taken away by the gorgeous blue waters surrounded by white peak mountains.

it was a view like no other straight out of a photo on the travel magazine. don't get me wrong i have seen mountains and lakes before but Lake Louise was breathtaking , it was magical.

as we parked i got out the car and made my way to the back seat of the car to wake Ben up.

"Ben" i called out "hey bud you need to get up we are at the lake"

Ben stirred but no luck in waking him up

"hey buddy" said Ryan shaking him softly " we are here, lets start building those boats and letting them loose into the lake" he said

at the sound of building boats Ben opened his eyes.

Ryan and I laughed out at the same time.

Ben and Ryan were getting the stuff out of the car and i decided to look around the scenery, i could see a house on the other side of the lake, i walked closer to the pier to get a better look at at the house, from where i stood the house looked Victorian but i wasn't sure; as i got closer i was able to see it better. it was like a royalty house definitely Victorian probably built in the early nineteen hundreds but is was a art work and i could see whoever owned it kept it updated and well taken cared of.

"Oh my gosh Ryan look at that house" i called out to him "isn't it beautiful" i asked 

he walked up behind me and kissed me on the neck, i cringed and his touch but it was because i wasn't expecting such display of affection.

he was not fazed by it instead he smiled and repeated the kiss, only this time i was prepared.

"yes" he said "the house is very beautiful"

he smiled and headed back to where he and Ben had started building a boat.

a few minutes later all three of us were sitting at the edge of the water on a picnic math enjoying the amazing lunch Ryan had brought.

i was admiring how my little brother and this man where bonding and i was pleased and i could see that Ryan was as well.

i crawled over to where he was and sneaked a kiss, he looked up and smiled.

"what was that for" he asked

" just because" i responded "because you are an amazing man and i am lucky to have you Ryan Walker."
