Chapter 10 Alexis

i was in his arms, i never thought that a man like Ryan Walker would be interested in me but here i was enjoying this amazing kiss.

once again this amazing man had left me breathless.

"you never cease to amaze me Ryan Walker" i said gasping for breath after our intense kiss.

I could not help smiling as i lean into his arms.

he held me while stroking my hair, i loved this feeling. is as if we belonged together, i pray we don't ever disappoint or hurt one another; I really want this relationship to work between us, Ryan will be the first man i have date and i want him to be my last and my all.

I don't remember going to bed, the last thing i remember was Ryan holding me, i must have dosed off.

I felt the space next to me in  hopes that he had stayed over, but it was empty. I got out of bed and made my way to the living room but still no Ryan; I was a bit disappointing but relieved at the same time, thou a part of me wishes Ryan had stayed the other part is not ready for that type of commitment so i guess it was for the best that he left.

i don't want to rush this relationship, i want to be able to enjoy my boyfriend and enjoy a normal relationship with him, besides i get yet to rally know Ryan Walker, not just pieces of his story but everything.

i made my way to Ben's room luckily he was still asleep.

after retrieving a glass of water from the fridge i went back to my room, i don't know how i had miss it before but on the night stand was a note with a beautiful red rose on it.

smiling to myself i picked the note up  the rose before reading it.

"hi beautiful, i didn't want to disturb your sleep so i gently laid you on your bed and gave you a kiss good night before leaving, you are so gorgeous when you sleep". i read "by the way, you are a heavy sleeper it worries me. see you later gorgeous" Ryan

a childish giggle escaped my throat as i recall images of Ryan laying me down in my bed, he is so caring and romantic.

according to the clock in my room it was eleven O'clock in the morning, i head back to sleep for another hour before getting up and making Ben breakfast. 

i tried closing my eyes for that hour nap but it was impossible i could not seem to fall asleep, the scenes from the previous night kept replaying in my mind.

"s**t" i yelled as i was startled by the ringing of my phone.

"hello" i answered my cell

"hey beautiful"i was Ryan "did you sleep well?" he asked

"I did" i responded "in fact better than previous night"

"I see" he answered "and to what do you owe that peaceful night of rest may i ask"

I could hear the mockery in his tone, he was pleased with himself.

I couldn't help but laugh, "I saw your note" i told him "thank you for making sure i didn't injured my back sleeping on the couch, i guarantee i would have been a beautiful sight to see if i had," i confessed

"glad i was able to contribute to your health and beautiful rest." he said "by the way i want to take you and Ben to the lake if that OK?" he asked

"I know you are still getting acquainted with the area but thought a bit of fresh air would be good" he added

"sure why not, Ben would love to go to the lake and its a great way for us to spend some time together" i answered "what time would you like us to be ready?" i asked

"how about noon" he said "its an hour away and it would be better at that hour, i can also pick up lunch before picking you and Ben up."

"that sounds great," i sad "we will be ready and waiting"

"its a date then" he said before hanging up

"a date" i screeched " I am going on a date with Ryan Walker, Dr. Ryan Walker"

i danced my way around the bedroom while my inner girl was doing the back-flips, i head to my closet and choose the appropriate clothes for the lake, a racer back tank top slightly open on the side exposing the sexy bra i was wearing under, a pair of gladiator sandals and a distressed shorts i never had the chance to wear back in the USA. 

i went to Ben's room to get him ready, Ben was already up and playing with his Lego when i walked into his room.

"hi Alex, i heard you scream did something happen?" he asked 

"nope" i replied " i was just happy, Dr. Walker invited us to the lake today" i said "would you like to go to lake and play?

"i want to go to the lake" he replied excitedly "Dr. Ryan is nice i like him, he brings me lots of toys" said my little brother with the biggest smile i ever saw him with.

"yes, Dr. Walker is very nice" i agreed

it took us a few minutes to get  dressed and eat a snack before Ryan was here for us.

Ben was happy, and i know his happiness is partly caused by Ryan and that made me happy. the last thing i needed was my little brother being upset by the relationship that is developing between Ryan and I.
