Chapter 6 Alexis

Was it my imagination or did Ryan just smiled after i agreed to let him come over, i thought to my self.

" he is handsome isn't he" asked Kristen, i had completely forgotten that i was still sitting at a table in Kristen's Cafe.

"Ryan" she repeated "isn't he handsome"

i blushed, but couldn't lie at that fact it was like she read my mind o something.

"i wont lie" i confessed " Ryan Walker is one of the most Handsome and interesting man i have ever met.

she smiled, her eyes gleaming with mischief.

" Kristen whatever you are thinking please don't, Ryan Walker is way out of my league" i said

"give yourself a bit more credit" she said " you are a very gorgeous woman, and i assure you Ryan has noticed that; besides in all the years of knowing him few women has caught his attention, but none of them has caught his heart. he is a very strong believer of faith"

"Ryan thinks that when the woman that will capture his heart come along, he will know and he will never let her go.

i thought about it for a few minutes, " I completely understand him; i have never date anyone, not in high school, not in college don't get me wrong, i have had pursuers but none that really caught my attention, guys now a days only want one thing and that is a one night stand. i am way too good to only be a one night stand to any man" i told her.

"i am really glad i met you" she said "Alexis Roberts i believe you and i are going to be great friends.

I smiled "i believe we will" i replied back

i took a glance at where Ben was sitting silently eating cookies and drinking his milk, then i took a quick glance at my watch.

"oh my gosh" i said "time has surely pass by quickly, it was nice meeting you Kristen. hope i can see you tomorrow

with that i took Ben out of his high chair and left, as i was making my way to the door Kristen called out to me.

" Alexis" she said "i would really like it if you joined me and some of my friends to Calgary, every other weekend we go out there to have a night of fun.

"sure" i called back "i would love that very much"

after heading out the cafe and into my car, i made a mental note to find a baby sitter to look after Ben, i had to allow myself some public interaction, something i never did when growing up. besides the circle of friends i have, i never hanged out with anyone else, i believe this was the time and place to do so.

the dive between the cafe and my little house was about thirty minutes, i enjoyed the drive very much especially the mountain view.

"finally home" i mumbled to myself as Ben was completely asleep.

i took him out and carried him all the way into my bedroom and laid him on m bed while i made him a bath, he enjoyed the Jacuzzi so much that i decided i would allow him to bathe in it, so i prepared it for him.

"Ben, you need to wake up " i said patting him trying to get him up, after a few minutes of protest he finally opened his eyes and i was able to sit him into the Jacuzzi to bathe.

"Alex" he said " can we go for ice cream tomorrow"

I smiled at him, it seems that i made the best choice by coming to Canmore to live because it seems that Ben was starting to enjoy the little town and frankly so was I.

after his bath i put his pj's on and tuck him in to my bed.

i went into the bathroom to let the water out of the Jacuzzi and clean it to take a bath myself, after re filing it up, i went into then kitchen and poured myself a glass of Malbec, got some aromatic candles and lavender oil and head back to my bathroom, it was time to give myself some well deserve pampering, i turned my iPod on to Ruelle, stripped myself of my clothes and entered the Jacuzzi for a soak.
