Megg

Violet's POV 

The entire car ride was an uncomfortable silence. I had no idea what to say to this man whom I am suppose to spend forever with. I continue to stare out the car window and gasp in awe when we arrive to his packhouse. This place is beautiful, but not as much as my old home. 

"Wow, Liam! This is a gorgeous place your pack has."  He turns his head quickly towards me, probably surprised I spoke for the first time since leaving. "Of course it is. I want nothing but the best." Okay, rude. What is his problem? He was such a gentleman before and now it's as if he is a different person. 

He steps out of the car and I expected him to open the door for me, but he just continues walking towards the house. When he notices that I'm not behind him, he turns and yells. "Are you coming?!"  Thought the door is still closed, I can hear him clearly. Not wanting to upset him any further, I open the car door and follow him to the house. 

I was expecting pack members to be outside waiting to meet and greet me, but there was not a soul in sight. Where is everyone? Our pack always looked forward to meeting new members and greeting them upon arrival. This is so different already. I don't like it. I miss my family and everyone in the Blood Moon Pack. 

"Close the damn door, woman!" I had just walked inside and he's already yelling at me. I hold back the tears, wanting to be strong like my sister. I may not be a wolf, but I know this is not how you are suppose to talk or treat your mate. 

"Please don't yell at me." He stares at me and starts laughing. "Please don't yell at me." He mocks me and brings me to the verge of crying. I don't like being teased or laughed at. How did I get fated to such a mean guy? I like to think that I'm a nice and kind human being, so why am I paired with the complete opposite? 

"What? Are you going to cry now? Grow up." I stare at this man in disbelief. He rolls his eyes and tells me to follow him. I do as I'm told, since I don't really have a choice. I remain silent as he leads me to the Omega floor. Pushing a door open, he tells me this is my room now. I have no rank, but I can't believe my eyes. Is this what every omega room looks like? It's the smallest room I have ever seen. Barely fitting a twin size bed and  a tiny nightstand. There's no window or closet or even any room to walk around.

As I was about to say something, the bedroom door slams shut and I can hear the lock being turned. I grab the doorknob and it won't open. He locked me in my room? I crawl on to the bed and finally let out the tears I've been holding in. I promised myself and family and Chris that I would give Liam a chance, but he is making this extremely difficult. 

I want to call Alice, but none of my bags are in here. Great. I'm mentally and physically exhausted, so I decide to take a little nap. When I wake, I have a strong urge to pee. I begin to bang on the door and yell as loud as possible. "LET ME OUT! I HAVE TO PEE!!!!" 

After some time has passed, I hear the door being unlocked. I was expecting it to be Liam, but instead it's a girl who looks around my age. "Hello, I'm Megg. Alpha Liam has assigned me to be your guide." Really? He couldn't be bothered to show me around. Not that I'm complaining though. I rather not see him. I smile warmly to at Megg. "Nice to meet you, I'm Violet. Could you please show me where the bathroom is?" Grabbing my hand, she says, "Of course!"  

After finishing my business, Megg is waiting for me right outside the bathroom. "You know, I'm really glad my brother finally found his mate." I should have known they were related, they look very similar. I don't know how to respond to her, so she just continues talking while showing me around the packhouse. 

I can't believe this nice and innocent woman is related to that rude man. They are complete opposites. I found myself talking freely with Megg and we instantly clicked. At least I made one new friend here. During the tour, pack members would look at me and either bow or throw disgusted looks my way. Probably because I'm human and not fit to be a future Luna. Woah. Wait a minute. That just hit me that I am to be Luna.
