#13 the visit

everything was black. there was no light. I wasn't sure where I was but I knew I was no longer in the motel room with Jacob. I reached out into the darkness trying to feel for anything. I closed my eyes for a second as my head pounded. I needed to get my head straight to figure out what was happening. I opened my eyes and stood up. "hello?" I yelled out into the deafening silence. out of nowhere the dark turned to light and a meadow opened up before me.

I looked around as trees began to be blanketed by the sun now in the deep blue sky. it was beautiful here. so calm and peaceful. a wave of peace washed over me. I looked around my surroundings and saw a small stream babbling lazily. it all seemed so familiar to me yet I couldn't quite place it. it was as though I had been here before. I went and sat by the waters edge placing my bare feet into the cool stream. a small breeze blew through as I shut my eyes taking in the serenity of this place. "hello my child." I looked to my right as a woman sat there beside me. I wasn't even sure when she got there or how. "don't be frightened. "

my brows furrowed as I realized this woman was the most beautiful being I had ever seen. she had no defining features. it was as though she was no one but everyone all at the same time. she spread a calm with her every word her voice of an angel that almost peirced through my soul. "Moon Goddess. I remember. " I looked around then looked back at her. "I remember being here before. it looked different then but it feels so familiar. "

"yes this is a peaceful sanctuary I like. we need to talk a little before I send you back."

"does Jacob think I died again?"

I watched as she shook her head a smile still on her face. "no dear Angel he just thinks you are asleep." she placed her feet I to the stream like I had done and we both looked ahead not saying anything for a moments time. "the time is coming near. I'm glad you met Jacob again. he is instrumental in helping with Christopher. he will help make you stronger."

"when this is all said and done do I get to stay with him?"

there was a hint of sadness in her voice now as she spoke." I can only say that if you win then you will love peacefully with your new mate but if you lose i can not change what happens. the future is up to you my sweet Angel."

"so kill Christopher and then inget to have a future?"

"remember the time is near. he is growing in strength. you have only managed to temporarily weaken him."

I brought my feet out of the water and laid back on the grass. I could hear the water moving down stream and birds singing their songs in the distance. "I have been making him look weaker in front of his pack. I think it has worked."

"no more time for games little one. it is time to finish your task and end the evil in him. it is the only way to right the world. the underworld is growing restless. they know you have the sword of inubis and they know what that means." she paused for a moment as a gust of wind blew through the meadow. her voice seemed to trail off in the distance as I turned back to see she was gone. I looked around surprised. "it is time. time to build your army. I have placed people before you that can help you. warriors all of them. be safe." then I was once again in the dark. everything had gone. the meadow faded away into nothing. I stood up trying to see in the dark.

when I finally woke up I was in a bed. I felt around in a panic. my heart was beating fast and my breathing was labored as I tried to calm myself to get my bearings. an arm reached out to me as I felt hot breath on my neck. Jacob. I was back in his arms."angel?" I could hear the concern in his voice.

"I'm OK." I sat up taking in the room. it wasn't much. nothing fancy. a bed and two night tables. a TV and a bathroom with a shower but it was luxury compared to the cave. I looked down at my mate. mine. he was mine. my hand instinctively went up to touch my mark. shivers ran down my body from the touch. I looked down realizing I was still naked and the covers had fallen from my body. I pulled the covers up to hide myself as Jacob reached his arms around me pulling me closer to his hard chest. I think Scott and Damien as well. she said warriors and they are part of the rogues now. they are amazing fighters and with you three we can get close enough for mento get to Christopher."
