It was a good thing that I was surrounded by strangers. Yes, I was embarrassed, but not as embarrassed as I would have been, had I been in the presence of people whom I was familiar with. Thankfully, Skylar saved me from further embarrassment. "I have a surprise for you, Kira. You have another very special visitor waiting outside for you." That was all I needed to get me racing out of there. That Alpha guy could continue thinking I'm crazy or whatever! I just wanted any excuse to get away to pull myself together. As I got outside, I could not believe my eyes! "ZEE! ZEE! OH MY GOD! IT'S REALLY YOU! I MISSED YOU SO MUCH!" Yes, I screamed all that out loud as I ran to him and literally jumped at him, and he had to carry me off the ground. "Hey there, my girl, I missed you too!" We were so busy hugging and kissing each other that we didn't notice the audience that gathered around us. "Okay, you two, you can save all that for later. We have other guests too," Skylar called out to us. I honestly didn't care much for the others now that Zion was here. We followed the others back inside hand in hand. I glanced over at Roman and couldn't help but notice the furious look on his face. He then said in a very stern voice, "Skylar, we need to discuss a plan of action regarding the Lycan. Do you know where I can find information about the battles that took place back in the day between the wolves and the Lycans? There's not much stored in our libraries. I have to find out if there are any truths to the allegations that Lycan made." As he spoke to Skylar, he kept glancing over angrily at Zion and I. What the heck did we do to him! "Our Mate is angry because of your friend Kira." Destiny told me sadly. Holy s**t! He also probably thinks that Zion and I are together! If, the Alpha thought that Zion was my boyfriend, then that could actually work in my favour! I'm not planning on clarifying things just yet. I whispered to Zion that I needed him to continue our role play as though we were a couple and that I would explain everything to him when we catch up later. "WOULD THE TWO OF YOU LIKE TO GET A ROOM? IT APPEARS OUR DISCUSSIONS ARE BORING YOU, EVEN THOUGH IT HAS TO DO WITH SAVING YOUR LIFE!" Good God! He was pissed off! "We're good, Roman! I mean, Alpha, continue, we're all ears, aren't we, my love?" I said as I looked over at Zion, who answered, "We sure are Babe." We locked hands, smiled, and gave him our full attention. "Kira, can you not see how pissed off he is with the way you are behaving. Please tone it down a bit. Show some respect. That's the Alpha of our pack and our fated mate." Destiny sounded scared. I confessed to her about Zion while maintaining a straight face so that no one caught on that I was communicating with my wolf. Thankfully, that calmed her down. Only later did I find out that she was communicating with Titan through mind link. Okay, I didn't know they could do that. Heck, I was still getting the hang of communicating with Destiny and not feel like I am going insane! Coming back to pissing off the Alpha, that truly wasn't my intention, I mean, that guy was freaking hot, and I was definitely attracted to him, but a part of me wanted him to know that I was not just going to drop everything going on in my life just like that for him. And if pretending for now that Zion is my boyfriend is going to help, then so be it!

ROMAN

I desperately needed some air after receiving that stupid reply from Akira and her boyfriend. Without realizing it, I had slammed the table hard and walked out, Michael followed closely behind me. Every good thought and hope I had of Akira went flying out of the window when I saw her face light up with joy and love at the sight of her boyfriend. I would never forgive Skylar for bringing him here. Did she do it intentionally! She knew I was going to be coming through. Why would she want to put me on the spot like that and humiliate me. I am the Alpha, and I will not tolerate such insult! "Roman, please, you have to calm down. There must be an explanation for all of this. Skylar would never disrespect you. Get her alone and find out what is going on before jumping to conclusions." Michael could be right, but just seeing that pretty boy all over Akira got me livid. And what about the manner in which she behaved! They were all over each other in the presence of everyone. Akira was probably brought up as one of those spoiled rich kids who thought they could do whatever they wanted and whenever they wanted to! "We have to win her over, Roman. Your anger tantrums are not going to help the situation. You need to calm down and try to figure out how we are going to get her to choose us. Michael did tell you that she had a boyfriend. You didn't expect her feelings for him to vanish overnight. I am also hurt, but you have to try and put yourself in her shoes and try to understand that all of this is not easy for her. The life she knew and loved so much has been turned upside down within a blink of an eye. Honestly, I think that she is actually handling things rather well, considering all that happened in such a short space of time. Had it been someone else, they would have totally freaked out and gone insane or worse. Got to give her credit for her mental strength." Titan, forever the voice of reason. Perhaps I was overreacting, but I could not deny that I felt like a fool. Getting all dressed up to meet her only to have the reaction I wished to receive from her be given to that damn boyfriend of hers! Hang on...Somethings a bit off. Sure, I get all that Titan had said, but why was he so calm in all this. He was already madly in love with her, and if anybody should be reacting the way I did or worse, it should've been him! "Buddy, is there anything else you want to tell me?" Dead silence!

My jaw dropped in shock as the Alpha slammed the table and walked out. His Beta raced behind him. Maybe I played it a bit too much. But in my defense, it's not my fault that he couldn't control his temper and what did he expect, I was going to run into his arms and confess my undying love and loyalty to him? He can't be so old school or should I say that stupid to think that! "Kira, I know what you tried to do and I do understand why but even though I don't know you very well, I am going to guess that you are not the type of person who enjoy lying to people and causing unnecessary drama and conflict. The Alpha was not expecting you to run into his arms. Like you, he, too, has a recent past, which he will have to sacrifice for you. He is not angry that you have a boyfriend. If anything, he is probably angry with me. He feels I disrespected him by inviting your so-called boyfriend here to yourlls first meet. He needs to know the truth about Zion, but I think it's best he hears it from you"
