FIRST IMPRESSIONS

ROMAN

I barely slept through the night. My mind was flooded with thoughts of what had happened with the Lycan, amongst other things. There was no way my father could have intentionally killed his mate. My father ended a life only if it was absolutely necessary. How do I convince the Lycan that he definitely got it all wrong? I need to find out more about the battles that took place back in the day between the wolves and the Lycans. The Warlock who is helping them also has a history with our pack from what Skylar said, so now that he is helping the Lycan, it could only mean more trouble! My mate must have inherited some really powerful gifts for him to want her so desperately. And she probably hasn't even a clue about those gifts! How would someone who doesn't even believe in our kind handle so many powers? Time will tell, I guess. Before I knew it, morning had arrived, and Titan was already on my case about what I was going to wear, and he lectured me again and again on how important it was to make a great first impression! "Titan, if you don't shut the f*ck up, I am going to get Skylar to help mute you permanently!" I should have mentioned it earlier as that managed to get me some peace and quiet for a bit. I reached out to Michael and asked him to get ready as well as he was coming out with me to Skylar's place. "Okay now, bud, help me choose the colour suit I should wear." And I got no reply. Titan was giving me the silent treatment. "Have it your way! I don't have to go there today anyway. I could just tell Skylar to continue with the training as planned, and whenever our mate decides to come here, it is fine by me. I am in absolutely no hurry. You may continue taking your deep sleeps as I will continue to enjoy the lovely Omegas" After about a minute more silence and in an angry tone, he said "If you continue to disrespect me, Roman, you will face the consequences! You are not the only one capable of seeking out help from Skylar or the Moon Goddess. I wonder how they would react if they found out what type of exercise the Apple of their eye enjoys or should I say with whom! You bring shame to the throne by boning those whores!" Well I'll be damned! So he pulled out the black mail card! "Oh whatever, you stubborn old brute! Just help me pick out a damn suit!"

We eventually picked out a dark blue suit, and well, let's just say, I clean up rather nicely. "Alpha, I brought the car out front. I decided on the Bentley. Hope you are okay with that. Holy Moon Goddess, someone really put in the effort, Don't you look dashing! Let's get a move on Romeo. We don't want to keep our Luna waiting." I wish I felt as excited as Titan and Michael. I was annoyed with myself for being so nervous. It's something I never felt, and here I was feeling it in abundance. "I'm ready Michael, let's just get this over and done with!" Michael drove to Skylar's place, and throughout the journey, I practiced to maintain my 'I'm here on business' face. I am the Alpha, after all, and not some love struck school boy. Skylar rushed out to greet us and behaved as though she hadn't seen us in ages. As we made our way inside, Titan's excitement grew as the sweet, incredible scent of peonies filled the air. We could only smell our mate's scent. The others just disappeared. When we got to the main gathering area, Akira's back was facing us, which was a good thing because I was not sure if I started to drool at the magnificent view before me. Her height was perfect, like a super model and an incredible figure to go with it. I wasn't sure if she was wearing shorts or a short skirt, but it sure complimented her sexy long legs. Her silky, shiny, and incredibly beautiful hair fell loosely down her back to just above her perfectly shaped ass. I was so tempted to run my fingers through it. Then she turned around as Skylar called out to her. HOLY, MOON GODDESS! OUR FUTURE LUNA LOOKS LIKE A DIVINE GODDESS! "Roman, you're embarrassing us. Say something!" Easy for Titan to say, he's not standing in wolf form in front of her! I cleared my throat, stuck out a hand, and introduced myself. "Hello, I'm Roman, Alpha of the Blue Moon Stone pack. It's a pleasure to finally meet you." She smiled politely and accepted the hand shake and said, "Hi, I'm Akira, as you already know, but everyone calls me Kira. Nice to meet you, Roman. It's good to finally put a face to the name. Wait, everyone calls you Alpha, Should I call you Roman or Alpha? I guess it doesn't really matter, right? You will answer to either. Oh, Heck! Just don't mind me! I tend to babble a lot when I am nervous, like now. Okkkay, best if I just zip it!" She was just too adorable! She said all of that in one breath and while still holding my hand, and then, after telling herself out loud that it was time to keep quiet, her face turned a bright shade of red and she slowly pulled her hand away.

I had the best sleep ever. It was probably because of the exhausting events that took place. However, I woke up to a very sore body. You know that extremely sore kind of feeling you get when you visit the gym after ages and act like a hero and push yourself to have a really intense workout only to have every part of your body paying the price the next day! Destiny was also exhausted and suggested that we stay in bed longer, but then she remembered our special visitor and all the events of the previous night. She then started pushing me to get ready for the day ahead. As I got out of the shower, one of Skylar's helpers brought me a breakfast tray and said that Skylar had instructed that I must eat up everything that was prepared for me. I did not need to be asked twice as I was famished! The breakfast was delicious. Once I was done with my breakfast and got dressed up, I went in search of Skylar. My outfit for the day was a chain detail wrap hem, pale pink skort with a matching camisole, and a crop floral blazer jacket over it. I decided to go for comfort, so I decided on a pair of matching ballerina style pumps. I wasn't really into makeup and stuff, which made getting ready so much quicker. Destiny's excitement started to get me all nervous. What if I make a total fool of myself when we meet this Alpha? As I entered the main gathering area, I ran into Lucas, and he told me that Skylar had gone out to meet our guests who had just arrived. We were discussing setting up a schedule for our training when I heard Skylar call out to me. As I turned around, the tall, eye candy in front of me took my breath away! His jet black hair was perfectly styled, and he looked like a Greek God. He must work out a lot. That is one very fine looking body, and he smelled so good, sort of like a musky scent. Destiny was ecstatic! I could hear her spewing gibberish in excitement, which made me more nervous. He introduced himself in a sexy, deep voice, and that just did it for me! My body felt like jello. I replied to his greeting, only to have made a total fool of myself. As I pulled my hand away from his slowly, I wished the earth would open up and swallow me whole!
