Chapter 2: Souls in the Hall of Reincarnation “Enough of this talk about perishing, it’s not like we will vanish or something.”  Michael lightly said that woke me up from my dazed state.  He stretched his wings that spans for almost three meters and shines like the gentle sunset glow.  “I will be going now, let’s meet on our break.” Michael smiled, a proud and beautiful smile of a respected Chief Archangel of heaven.  “That will be a hundred years from now.” I smiled back at him after reminding him the time.  A hundred years for a human is their whole life, but it is just like a year to us with how our duties can occupy us for years without stopping and being unable to feel tired. “You never change Lucifer, you are always too punctual.” Michael laughed before taking off and flying with a flap of his wings to the direction of the Hall of bliss.  He never really liked walking and taking in the sceneries like me. He would always point out that the the creator sculpted us with wings to fly freely and not walk like a human mortal would, and I will rebuke him that we are also given legs to walk.  Walking lets me feel and perceive different things, and gives me a sense of stability that I do not have when I am high up in the air. “I wonder what new things I will learn in the Hall of reincarnation.” I mumbled to myself while taking one long look at Michael’s departing silhouette and decided to start walking east, which is the general direction of the Hall of souls and the Hall of reincarnation. In the few minutes of walking, dozens of archangels and angels are busy flying speedily over me, maybe to look for their own chiefs to be briefed on their new tasks. I heard numerous sounds of wind whistling from my back and it seems they are coming for me, turning around, I saw dozens of archangels wearing pure white robes with my insignia marked at their upper right chest.   “Chief Archangel.” they all landed with grace and greeted me simultaneously with respect laced in their angelic voices.  A smile crept up my lips as being greeted by dozens of beautiful looking archangels surrounded by a pure light and calming aura can bring joy to my inner being of being one of them. “We have been looking for you near the Hall of archangels, but it seems we were a bit late in arriving as you have already left.” Archangel Morris reported with his usual stern and rigid voice.  “That’s right Chief, I’m glad that we found you quickly”. Archangel Rachel happily chimed in, that her voice sounds like bells are tinkling.  “I’m sorry, I got the tasks earlier and I wanted to check the Hall of reincarnation.” I apologized wryly, as I almost forgot to check on them because of my curiosity.  “Chief, did you just say the Hall of reincarnation?” Archangel Rome asks as shock covers his whole being and spreads to the whole group. “Yes, now that you are all here, let us go to the Hall of reincarnation and start another journey as an archangel of heaven.” I  smiled widely as I turned my back on them to continue walking to my destination, and now along with my group of archangels. “Chief, don’t leave us!” Archangel Rachel hurriedly uttered and I heard the shuffling of feet behind me.  They all know that I like walking and even the reason behind it.  After a couple of minutes of peacefully walking, we have arrived under an ark sculpted with the words of ‘Hall of Reincarnation’. Similar with the Hall of archangels, all the other halls in heaven are managed by a seraph as they are the only one capable of it. Entering the Hall of reincarnation gave us all a feeling of a divine fire burning through the meadows.  I once heard from a senior chief archangel that fire is a sign of rebirth, a sign of burning the old vessel and walking out of the ashes as a new being.  It feels mysterious and too powerful for any living being to comprehend its secrets. “Chief Archangel Lucifer?” An archangel waiting at the side of the entrance and next to him is a floating book and on the cover written in white is the words ‘Archangel Records’. “Yes, I’m here.” I declared and the floating book opened by itself and recorded my arrival and the names of every one of my group.  After that, the archangel led us in a room that has a white door engraved with the word ‘soul’ and we discovered a whole new paradise inside it.  A flourishing meadow as far as the eye can see with incorporeal light fragments that resemble a human’s figure floating in front of three blinking silver gates.   “Souls.” I uttered in outmost amazement and curiosity as the souls flicker with different translucent shades of white light that reflects on my pale blue eyes. This is the first time that I saw a soul, and it took my breath away. Although, an archangel is deemed as a higher being compared to humans, there are rules that we could only obey but never think of breaking, and one of them is to never touch and lay our eyes on a soul, unless we are demanded by our duties.   “Wow, I have never imagined that souls could be so mesmerizing.” Archangel Rome held his breath in awe and reverence at the peerless creation of the most high. “Human beings always pursue their vanity of external beauty, chasing after fame, money and immortality that leads them to sin without remorse, not knowing that inside them is an eternally beautiful soul that never wither even in the heaven and earth.”  I mumbled in the reflection of Michael’s words when he was instructing me about the state of some human beings on earth.  Of course, there are very little human beings who believe in the topic of spirituality, so expecting them to believe the notion of reincarnation and that they are blessed heavily by the creator is but a pipe dream.
