Chapter 13: Return Third Person’s Point of View A breeze of ethereal and gentle wind full of pure spiritual energy caressed the proud beautiful wings on the back of Chief Archangel Michael as he hovers above the cliff of the Heaven’s edge. Chief Archangel Michael already felt the need to check whether Lucifer will come back quickly or not. Lucifer hasn’t been gone for long but Michael strongly feels the need to drag him back on heaven lest his absence alerted the Archangels on the hall of punishment. “That stubborn kid, how dare he make me worry for him?” Archangel Michael mumbled glumly while staring at the endless white clouds that hides the heaven from the eyes of the mortals. He understands Lucifer’s curiosity, and it is because at one time, he too desired to defy the heaven and follow the thread of fate that he thinks is created only for him. Michael shook his head at the sudden flash of the distant memories that he had always avoided to recollect. He doesn’t want to remember, but he was given the ability to remember even the tiniest bit of things since he was created. The creator really did created the beings of heaven close to the perfection a human desire, but it can bring plenty of imperfections to those that holds their very own unique view of living as an archangel. They cannot forget even if they want to. They are created as an individual with their own views, but they cannot defy the mandate of heaven. They are basically immortal but they do not have their own reincarnation path. It could be said that there is always a bad side to every good side. Nothing can be created perfectly without any imperfections to see. The cruelty of their existence floated in the deepest part of Michael’s mind without the chance to see the light or be spoken out. Michael chuckled to himself in a mocking way. He is but a tiny being created by god, and he doesn’t even have the freedom to voice out his inner thoughts. Michael sighed to himself and was about to turn around to leave, but a sudden gust of sharp wind coming from down the heaven’s edge immediately grabbed his attention. The gusts of sharp winds continued to ascend for a couple of minutes before a pair of pure white wings that shines with a dazzling soft light shot out from under the cliff and stops a distance away from Michael’s position. Chief Archangel Michael’s eyes widened as he takes in Lucifer’s form. The one who arrived is indeed Chief Archangel Lucifer, and it only took him half the time to ascend than when he descended, because of the need to vent the turmoil of emotions inside him. The dead body of Venus kept on popping up on his head and it just ignited his anger to a whole new level. Michael was shocked for a second, but he eventually sighed in relief and was about to greet Lucifer and ask him the experience he had on earth, when he suddenly noticed the unstable fluctuation of emotions hiding inside Lucifer. Michael’s face crumpled in confusion and worry. He had never felt this kind of emotion from Lucifer and this is also the first time for him to see the expression of deep anger on his face. Michael’s mind is currently moving in lightning speed and is full of questions about what exactly happened to cause Lucifer to react like this. Lucifer may seem stubborn and curious, but he is one of the warmest Archangel that Michael knows. Although, Archangel tends to be righteous and kind, they are still individuals with different personalities like the humans. There are some Archangels that like to be silent and to be alone like a certain Chief Archangel he personally knows. Michael returned to reality and shook the thought about Chief Archangel Gabriel, a permanent Archangel in the hall of souls and is also one of the best warriors as an Archangel. “Michael.” Lucifer’s plain voice gave Michael a startled expression before he slowly faced him. “What happened?” Michael took a step and his wings brought him next to Lucifer in an instant. Lucifer took a deep breath to calm his mind, and faced Michael in a solemn manner while slowly closing his eyes. “I met a human and she was murdered because of me.” Lucifer’s words stunned Michael and the next few gave him an undeniable feeling of anger. “A high demon killed her and I think it’s just to insult me.” “How dare a foul demon insult an Archangel like this? Those demons are slowly running rampant and even dare to kill a human in the presence of an Archangel!” Michael’s anger reached his innermost being. How could he tolerate this kind of insult that takes away a precious life? The insanity of demons knows no bounds. Lucifer opened his eyes and instead of the beautiful light of warmth in them, they are now drowned in sorrow and guilt that Michael felt the need to heal him of his current guilty thoughts. “Lucifer, you need to be clearheaded to pursue the plans that you have.” Michael understands Lucifer the best. He knows that he will stubbornly look for the high demon that killed the human he met and that he will find justice for the sudden untimely death. Michael patted Lucifer’s shoulder to console him and support him at the same time. They first need to find a quiet and crowd less place to discuss further to avoid any unforeseen calamity that might befall them, especially Lucifer. “Let’s go to the forest of melodies.” Michael lightly muttered and was the first one to take flight to the direction of his favorite place. Lucifer glanced at the cliff of the edge of heaven and with a look of resolution, he flapped his wings and followed Michael’s trail. The two only took a couple of minutes to finally arrive at the forest of melodies. They looked for a secluded place far from prying eyes and ears and Lucifer reiterated the events from the start of his descent to the death of Venus, as well as the clues that he found. Michael’s face turned serious when Lucifer mentioned the small black circular mark that he found on Venus’ wrist. He remembered the one time when he irritated Chief Archangel Gabriel to tell him about the demons that he fought when he was on his duties. Gabriel reluctantly told him a couple of information about the demons and some characteristics that they have. A small black circular mark on the wrist, only a high demon of the royal descendant of the devil can use that mark. Gabriel once said that he only encountered a young high demon of royal descent, but he needed to cooperate with another 5 warriors to barely manage to seal it. The strength of a high demon with the blood of the devil is overpowering for a lone Lucifer, and it is also because Lucifer is not trained as a warrior of heaven. Although, there are some Archangels that are born with special abilities, but they only found it out in some special circumstances. “You can’t go.” Lucifer frowned at Michael’s words that sounded like an order. “What do you mean?” Lucifer stared at the stern look on Michael’s face and stubbornly persisted for an answer. “You can’t defeat that high demon.” “I haven’t even tried and you’re already telling me that I can’t defeat a foul demon?” Lucifer’s turbulent emotions under his visage surged with Michael’s insistence. “Do not question me Lucifer; I know more than what you do and the high demon that you described is probably a royal descendant of the devil itself.” Michael’s solemn words entered Lucifer’s ears and plunged him in shock, but it only ignited something inside him. He feels that his spirit is burning and that he needs to follow his desire to destroy that demon or else he would not be able to forgive himself for eternity. “I have time Michael, I have too much time to waste and ready myself, even if it means that I need to wait for hundreds of years and even if it means that I need to enter the hall of souls willingly and suffer the pain of being baptized as a warrior of heaven.” Lucifer’s stubborn voice as he stood and raised his head to the endless sky resounded heavily in the atmosphere of melodies.
