Chapter 5

(Ash)

It feels like forever since I left Rose with our mothers. I keep trying to reach out to her, but she keeps blocking my link or telling me to wait. Aspen has tried to reach out to Lilly as well, and has been getting the same responses from her.

"These women are going to be the death of us," Aspen grubbles under his breath at me.

"Yes they will be, and we will enjoy every minute." I say back to him.

I turn to see Rose walking down the stairs with our mothers right behind her. They both have big smiles on their faces when they notice me watching them.

"Right on time," I say to the three of them.

"We would never be late for her Luna ceremony." Mary tells him with a small smile.

I walk up and give my mother a hug. She smiles at me as she and Kat walk off to find their mates, leaving me with Rose.

"You look amazing. How are you feeling?" I ask her as I lean down to give her a kiss.

"I am doing good. Nevertheless, I'm a little uneasy about the Luna ceremony. What if it causes a problem because I am a royal or because of Lilly? I have to link my blood with your mothers to gain the Luna link with all of the kingdom." She explains to me as we start to walk outside where the stage has been set up.

"Yes you and mom will have to make a small cut into the palm of your hands and link them together to create the Luna bond. We can not know if having Lilly will cause issues or not as it has never happened before. There is no indication that you are a royal, so being a royal should be okay." I tell her.

I look at her as we stop at the side of the stage next to our parents.

"If anything does happen, we will just have to tell the truth about who you are to the kingdom." I say giving her a kiss on the temple.

I look around and notice that everyone seems to be present. My dad steps forward and moves to the center of the stage.

"Hello all! We are here to celebrate Rose becoming the Luna Queen. I have already stepped down as King, so Ash will be joining me up here and assisting with the ceremony. I am so happy that he found Rose. She is an amazing person and will be a great Luna." He says smiling at me.

I walk up and stand next to him. I smile as I look out at all the happy faces.

"Rose has already taken over the Luna responsibilities. The ceremony now is to make her the official Luna and give her the Luna link with all of you." I say to them all.

"Mom, Rose, would you two please come up here?" I ask them.

Mom helps Rose up the stairs, and then walks over and stands next to dad. I smile watching the two of them. I hope that Rose and I have a long and happy relationship like they do.

Dad starts the speech for the ceremony and he places the dagger in my hand. It is heavy and the hilt has jewels on it. The large jewel matches Lilly's eyes perfectly. I look up and notice that Rose is watching me.

"How old is that dagger?" She asks me through our link.

"It has been passed down from generation to generation of the rulers of the kingdom." I say to her.

"That has magic in it, I can feel it." She says to me.

I look at it again, and I gasp. I look up to see Rose nodding her head at me.

"We will be sure to lock this up safe after today." I say to her.

I notice that my dad has finished his speech and is looking at me.

"Now with the mixing of the old Luna blood and the new Luna blood a bond will be formed with all of you." I say as I reach out for my mother's hand and slice her palm. She hisses a bit in pain. I reach for Rose's hand and smile as I slice her hand as well.

I watch as the two of them grab each other's hands. And I gasp as a slight glow passes between them. I watch as my dad smiles.

"Now let's go inside and celebrate my grandbabies that will be here very soon!" He calls out to the crowd.

I watch as everyone starts to head inside to the dining hall. My mom and Kat had planned everything for today. Dad walks over to me.

"So, you want to talk to me about that strange look on your face while you were holding the dagger?" he asks.

"I noticed that the large jewel on the top of the dagger is the sane green as Lillys eyes. And Rose linked me saying that she can feel that it has magic in it. So we believe that this is the stone that Selene used to lock her magic up." I explain to him.

"It is possible, the dagger is tracked all the way back to the beginning of werewolves. It was a gift to the first King and Queen from Selene." He tells me.

"I never thought that the stone would be in the open like that, I figured it would be somewhere we would have to look for it." Rose says.

"Well we will be sure to lock it up safe. Now let's go in and celebrate those babies of yours." My dad says to her with a smile.

As we start to walk in I notice that Raymond and his buddies were standing there looking at us with a strange look on their faces.

"I see that you have found the stone. Now be sure to lock it up safe." Raymond says to me.

"Is he okay?" I ask looking at Lucas. He is the youngest of the brothers and doesn't interact with us too much.

"I am fine. I can feel the magic coming from the stone and it is a new sensation to me." Lucas says.

"Well let's all go in, I am sure Rose is ready to sit down." Raymond says with a smile.
