"What if this project doesn't go well?", Richard asked in turmoil. Richard Brown, the Manager of Jackson Robert was too confused with the upcoming project his Boss aka best friend has planned for. "It won't", Jackson simply stated confidently. Standing by the windowpane of the 3rd floor of his small company, his mastermind was planning for something greater to put on risk than anyone of his age could attempt to. "And if it doesn't go well, I will give you the freedom to walk away from this company with no trouble. I will terminate your contract of 20 years right after that", Jackson ended up with a sigh. Glancing back in the room at his best friend aka manager sitting on the chair before his table, Jackson rolled up his eyes as he walked towards his chair to sit before him. Jackson Robert, Son of a well-known multi-billionaire has started up his own gaming company. He has no interest in the business his dad has already made up. Jackson wants to prove to himself and everyone that with his hard work and his own money, he can become more successful than his dad too. Jackson and Richard are both 27 years old and are childhood friends. Their friendship began in the school when Richard was bullied by other students and Jackson saved him. Richard isn't as rich as Jackson, and neither their friendship got any trouble to both the families, in money status. Jackson is about to launch a software program developed by himself. But Richard is scared if it won't go well. He is afraid because a few years ago in university, Jackson tried to do the same using his father's money and avoiding his studies but failed. In the end, Jackson was scolded a lot by his father. So this time, Jackson took a huge loan and not his father's money. Also, he promised to work harder on the project than last time to won't let it fail again. "If I leave you alone, you can not manage this company by yourself", Richard scoffed. "And that could give a rise to more troubles as you won't be getting anyone loyal than me", confessed Richard. Richard ended up winking at Jackson and making him clench his jaw. "Get out", Jackson stated coldly. Growing up in a multi-billionaire family, Richard has always been cold-hearted for everyone. Even when he dates girls, it is only for his pleasure. Once he gets pleased, he gives away a huge amount of money and gets rid of the girls. He never fell in love in his 27 years of life experience except for his family. He believes in the love a family has, and not what couples do. Because, for Jackson, that stuff are clingy and he hates clingy things. Richard chokes in his glass of water after listening to what Jackson said out of blue. But that was a normal thing in his life. Jackson often says that and no has no words in his dictionary named kindness for others. Richard has always been a caring extrovert, while Jackson has always been an arrogant introvert making the best pair of friendship only for both of them. "Bro! I hope you find a girl one day who will teach you what means to talk politely", Richard began teasing Jackson and burst out laughing. "Seriously, I'm waiting for that day brother! You will be the kindest person after that when you meet your perfect girl". "Stop this nonsense!", Jackson whined while Richard continued teasing him. Jackson annoyingly rested his head over his hands, massaging his forehead to get rid of the headache his Manager aka best friend, Richard was about to begin. Jackson gave a death stare to Richard. After a long moment of laughing at his own joke, Richard pressed his lips making a thin line, and gesturing to Jackson that he zipped it. He realized that his boss was about to be infuriated and it's better to walk away from the room before he ruins everything more. "Find a girl one day?", Jackson chuckled bitterly after Richard left the room. "Better I kill this love and kindness before I kill myself". • • • "Thank you! Keep shopping", the shop girl handed over a paper bag to Sana with a wide grin. Sana finally got a cell phone she wanted to buy from the city. She walked out of the electronics shop and began to walk excitedly over the street. Excited to get home as quickly as possible and call her family. It was late in the evening, the sky was twinkling with the brightest stars while the city was glowing up with the citylights. Winters were near and the cold breeze touching the bare skin of Sana send her chills and goosebumps. As she was on the way home, the street performers caught up her attention and made her walk their way. "Woah! They got amazing moves and voice!", Sana appreciated them mumbling to herself. "You like it?", a tall and pale girl same as Sana in the figure, with a mask on her face and cap on her head asked. She wore a black hoodie and pajama with a black overcoat on her body to protect herself from the cold breeze. Even if it looked strange, she looked beautiful in whatever she was wearing. "Oh- Ye- Yes!", Sana nervously answered to her question and began rubbing her nape. It's what she does whenever she is nervous. "I have never seen you here before, are you new in this place?", the girl interrogated. She sounded curious to know about Sana as she has never seen her before watching the street dance. "How do you know?", Sana inquired in confusion, tucking her eyebrows up and waiting for the reply of that anonymous girl. "I come here often every day to watch these performances but never found someone so pretty as you here and neither in the neighborhood. Are you a model?", the anonymous girl raised a question making Sana giggle. "What? No! Hahaha", Sana answered her and began laughing crazily. "Me and model? Are you kidding me?", she added. Not in her life someone ever misunderstood Sana with the model thing, which turned out to be the funniest compliment she ever got in her 21 years. "Seriously! I mean girl just look at your skin tone and texture, it's smooth, fair, and flawless. You are not wearing any makeup right?", the anonymous girl touched her cheeks with her soft hands and asked. "No", Sana shyly answered. It made her cheeks pain after laughing her heart out. She was blushing and that made her more beautiful than before. "Hehe cute!", the anonymous girl chuckled. Soon after that, a black sports car stopped by her side. "Oh! I need to go. Hope we meet again!", the anonymous girl pats the head of Sana before leaving. "Nice to meet you girl", she added. "Nice to meet you too Miss.", Sana confessed and bid her goodbye too watching her sit in the car and go away. "It's is too late, I need to go back home too", Sana said to herself as she checked the time on her watch. Before she could turn back and walk on her way, her eyes caught a glimpse of something shining beside her legs. She bent down to pick it up. It was a delicate chain bracelet with heart chimes in it. The alphabet 'J' was written on one of the chimes. And the bracelet looked familiar. "Is it hers?", Sana asked bewildered. She saw it on her wrist. "She said she comes here often then let me return it to her tomorrow", Sana said to herself. Wearing it in her hand, Sana began to walk back to her home and called her family as soon as she reached home. "I got my new cell phone Jack!", Sana excitedly said to his brother. "I miss every one of you". "We miss you too sister, don't skip meals okay?", Jack softly said with all the care and love for his sister. "Yes, brother I won't", and what are others doing?", Sana curiously asked as she was missing them badly. "Oh! Umm...-" "It's late Sana, go get your beauty sleep. Tomorrow is your first day and you should be good okay? Good night". With those words, Mrs, Jonas kept the call and left Sana speechless. "Maybe I called them too late?", she mumbled. • • • "Sana? Stepdaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jonas, right?", a man from the receptionist asked and Sana nodded instantly. He scanned Sana head to toe before looking away but Sana didn't notice that. She was busy thinking about how would be her first day. "Follow me", he said and began walking ahead towards the lift. Sana followed him behind everywhere he went until he dropped her out of the large door of a cabin and said her to go in it. "Mr. Chen is waiting for you! Don't make him regret choosing you as his secretary", the man warned before leaving her alone outside the cabin. "Calm down Sana! Yes, you can do it for them, for your family", Taking a deep breath Sana knocked on the door of the cabin. "May I come in?", she took permission. "Yes", a deep voice answered from behind the door giving her permission to walk in.
