Chapter 7 - Dad

2036 Words
*Blair Claudette Cavanaugh's POV* --- "Dad, how are we both alive?" I asked the man before me with my bewildered, curious mind, and he went to sit down on the couch. I just want to know because I remembered that my mother has mentioned that we are cursed. One of us should be dead for the other to be alive. And now, we both are living. "Death. I guess that's what broke it, Claude. I died, you died. I think that is it. That was great lighting that woke you up, was it?" He answered, and he seemed to have a point.  I held my mate's left hand in mine and led her to the bed to sit down as this conversation with the King of the Vampires is not gonna be a quick one. "Yeah, it was. I really don't know why I came to life because of it. Charge? Maybe. But... Well, then... That's great, right? And, I suppose you have met Mom again, haven't you?" I replied with my wide and happy smile, and it made the man laugh softly. Mmm, I think someone is in love and has been making the moves. Damn, I never really thought that I have this chance to meet my handsomely hot father. I surely have lots of questions to ask him. "Yeah, umm, well, of course. I did. And, just by looking at you right now, I am seeing the resemblance between you and your mother. You look the same." He answered with a smile, and I nodded my head slowly in response. "Uh-huh, I hear that a lot of times from people. And that was how Pryce's best friend, Cassandra Williams, recognized me as the queen's daughter. That girl turned out to be my cousin. Damn, I missed her so much. But, yeah, so... How are you doing with Mom? Are there old flames that have sparked up again? I'm very sure about it." I let out and looked at Pryce. She giggled when I mentioned that silly girl. "Oh, I did hear a lot about your cousin. And, oh, your mother? We got married twenty-three years ago." He answered, and I felt my mate snapped her head at me.  "Sorry, come again, Dad? The last... The last part." I told him to repeat since I think I must have heard it wrong. "We got married twenty-three years and two months ago. Two decades and three years, and two months." He repeated with more details, and I slowly turned my head to the girl beside me. Did I hear it right? "Blair." She muttered while wearing a face the same as mine, and we both turned to look at my father to search for an answer. "Twenty-three... years? How-what? What? How? How long are we down under the ground? Dead, I mean." I asked him in shock and confusion, and he inhaled deeply before speaking. "Thirty years, three months, and seventeen days. I remembered exactly that day I had risen from my death. That was when you died, my child." He explained, and I think that he is telling the truth. I mean, there is no time for a joke. And hearing it, I am flabbergasted as heck as my mate.  There was silence between Pryce and me as we try to sink in the information in our minds. Thirty fudging years? Who the heck would think... that long? We were gone with all those years? We were under the damn ground right there outside? Oh, damn, the tree that was hit by lightning. The tree! That's why I was looking at it strangely earlier. It has grown into that big because it was a long time has passed. Oh, fudge, how old am I? Are we? How old was I yesterday? I was... Two hundred and thirty-nine years old. Then add thirty years. Fudge, math, it's making my head hurt! "Wow, that was... A long time." I uttered as I don't really know how to react other than being surprised. "Yes, it was. And we all thought that you both were totally gone, but---" he began, but I cut him off when something in my mind popped up that I badly wanted to ask him.  "Is everyone else alive? Are they alright? Mom? Sander? Alison? Aunt Alex? The witches and warlocks that fought with me that night? Are they, Dad? Please, tell me that they are safe." I asked him, eager to know the answer to be positive. I just can't take to know that I have killed anyone that is not bad. "Yes, they are. You saved them all. And that means you slew all the enemy that night. That is so great of you, Claude. Don't worry. Everything is at peace between the supernatural races. The current leader of the werewolves is pretty good. She made lots of changes. Good ones. And, everyone would love to see you both again." He answered, which made me let out a sigh of relief, and I turned to look at Pryce. "She? Are you thinking what I have in mind, Pryce?" l asked my mate, and she smiled in response. "Yeah. Alison." She answered, and my father confirmed, "Exactly. No one else should. She has the royal blood." "Wow! That is so cool." I let out in amazement as I could imagine the girl, no, the huge white werewolf who I remember was my cousin's mate. Oh, I need to ask Dad about how are those two gay supernatural bitches have been doing. "Umm, Dad, question. Is Sander still in touch with the Werewolf Queen? They were mates." I asked him curiously, and I know that Pryce would want to know, too. That was thirty years, and something amazing and interesting could have happened to everyone, just like my parents. They got married! It's just wow. Also, damn, Drea and Lee. Those gay girls. Maybe they got married, too. She really is that Doctor Andrea Montgomery-Jordan. No more wonders. "Well, why don't you give everyone a visit? They will surely be glad. Me? I came here because I felt something so strong that woke me up from my nap. And it made me rush in here from Transylvania Palace of the Vampires because it was something so familiar. And, I was right. It's you. I am so happy to see and meet you both. Alive." He let out and suggested, and I think it's a great idea.  "We are happy, too, that we are back to life, Dad. So.. What do you say, Pryce?" I uttered and asked my girl while sounding so excited. Damn, I love surprises. No, I love to surprise people. "Of course! I'm in. Now, you better prepare your list of questions, answers, and speeches, Blair. Who should we go to first? Your mom?" She agreed and asked. And I think it is a good start. But we looked at my father when he mentioned, "Save your mother for the last, Claude. I'll cover you up if ever she will do her daily morning visit at your graves. Go to the Northern Witches Palace for breakfast. I go to her every day for that."  "Well, that sounds like a plan to me. Should we visit the humans, Pryce? Leandrea and Marvy?" I replied and asked her about our dear friends, and she made her adorable thinking face. "Umm, they will surely freak out, Blair. Maybe not for now." She answered, and my father agreed since he mentioned that supernatural beings are not very openly believable and acceptable to most of the human population. Though some believe that we do exist, there are instances that others perceive us as threats. We are dangerous for them. "Oh, well, then... Let's go to Sander. But, we don't have any idea where she resides. Do you know her address, Dad?" I suggested it and asked him. He sure has information because he has said that he is pretty close with the Northern Witches. He is the King. Right? He is my mom's husband. So...? Also, my mom is the queen of the N-witches, as well as the... Wait. Now, this is crazy. Well, yeah, of course, that made me the princess of both races. Mhmm. Nice. After my father gave us the home address of my cousin, he teleported to my mother's.  And now, it's my girl and me all alone again. Hmm. I wonder if we have the same thoughts, though. That would be so amazing. Well, no, I am not thinking of any naughty and unnecessary things right now. Only the needed and important ones. I cleared my throat to get her attention from the paper in her hold. "Pryce, babe, the kiss? Should we...? You know." With my biggest smile, I asked her about our interrupted and unfinished business, no, it hasn't even started, and the glorious girl raised her left eyebrow as she lifted her gaze to look at me. What?  "This address. How do we get there using the teleporting stuff, Blair?" She asked me with her eyebrows meeting in curiosity while showing me the paper that has Sander's address, and I read it. Why the fudge is she more interested with this piece of sh-paper than in what I have asked her? Just... Why?? And as a good and patient girlfriend, I answered her, "Uh... Umm, you will just think of going there, and--- very nice! She just disappeared. Hmm."  I let out a deep sigh when my hybrid mate just left me. I think I should follow her. She is new to these supernatural things, and she still can't control them well. She needs help. When I was about to think of the place that I would go to, I just remembered something very important. Like, very. "Fudge! What was the address? Oh, shoot!" I cursed as I realized that I had read it while I am not in my mind. I was just thinking of the kiss. The kiss! I am a very kiss-deprived supernatural being. Now, I need to freaking ask my father again. Then I went to clear my mind and tried to think of the N-witches Palace in another dimension with the spots that I remembered well when I got there the last time, decades ago. I just hope that no one can see me yet. I opened my eyes and found myself on the roof of the room of the queen. Nice spot. And damn, the view up here is plainly breathtaking, especially that the sun is about to come out. "Dad, can you hear me?" I asked my father, and I am hella sure that he can. Then I flinched in surprise when he just appeared out of nowhere. "Claude, what is the matter?" He asked me with worry evident in his voice, and I let out a sheepish laugh. "Uh... well, what was the address again?" I asked him my most significant concern as I scratched my not-itchy head.  "Oh, I presume the new vampire has taken it with her." He replied and stated a fact and proceeded to tell it to me instead. "Okay, thanks a lot, Dad. See you later." I bid him goodbye, and I went to close my eyes and think of the place where my mate could be right now. I opened my eyes and noticed that I am right outside of a tall fence of a mansion. Nice house. Is it where my cousin lives? Definitely. "Pryce? Are you here? Cupcake? Hello? Pumpkin?" I called her out as I try to feel her aura anywhere near around here. I know that she can hear me. When I felt no signs of my mate, I murmured, "Where the fudge on earth did that b***h go?" Did she go back to my house? Maybe. I just hope that she is not lost, though. As I am about to teleport back home to check if my mate is there, I was startled when someone spoke behind me. "Blair, you're here!" She rejoiced as she puts me in her embrace.  Thank goodness, it's Pryce. Damn, I missed her. Now, we can finally proceed to pay Sander a surprise visit.
