Chapter 5: Alessio's P.O.V.

"Looks like you're stuck with me for the evening, Sabina." I whispered in my mate's ear. I know that I just said I wasn't ready, but… Now that I've looked into her eyes… Those stunning aqua-colored orbs. Now that I've seen those juicy pouty lips… Not to mention that bratty attitude. I think I'm in love. Hell, I know I'm in love. I thought I would be nervous meeting my mate for the first time, but I'm not. In fact, I feel more at ease than I ever have before. I guess that's the bond for you. However, I have no idea what to do from here. Sabina clearly has no idea what I am to her. She must be human. It's just strange. She doesn't smell like a normal human to me. Plus, she has a supernatural beauty about her. Do I just think that because of the mate bond? "Ugh, I can't believe you weaseled your way into my home." My mate grumbled. Damn, she's so cute when she's angry. "I can't believe you don't want me there. Most women are thrilled to have me over." I teased. Sabina turned her head to give me a disgusted look. It's kind of fu.cked up how pleased that made me. I hope that look is out of jealousy. "Maybe you should go find one of them then." She said snarkily. Guess she's not jealous. "And why would I do that when I have the world's prettiest girl right here," I replied. Sabina rolled her eyes as she continued to hand out flyers to people passing by. "Hand me some, I'll help." I said. "You'll help?" She asked with a raised brow. "Yeah, the quicker you hand those out, the faster I can get you home." I said with a bright smile. Is it too soon to try to convince her to let me fu.ck? All I can think about is burying my face between those squishy thighs. I bet she tastes as sweet and salty as she smells. "You can help me." That stupid girl called out. I waved her off, trying to ignore her. "The girls here are relentless," I muttered. Sabina's eyebrows shot up again. "Struggling to keep them away? Maybe you should go hide somewhere." She said as she started to pass flyers out again. "I'm trying to, but you're being stubborn," I said. Sabina huffed, and stomped her foot. "Why me? If you apparently have so many other girls after you." She asked angrily. I chuckled, and stepped closer to her. Sabina's heart rate spiked when I leaned down to her. I took a deep inhale of her scent. "Because you are just my type. Curvey, bratty, beautiful." I said lowly. "And I always go after what I want." Sabina's cheeks tinged pink. I snatched the stack of flyers from her hands. I split it, taking more than half the stack. Then I walked a few feet away from her. Time to get this over with. ************************************* "I don't think we've ever handed out flyers that quickly before." A random girl in this group said, staring at me. "Sabina, why didn't you tell us you knew someone so good at this?" Another asked my mate. I beamed as Sabina put her hand to her head. "I don't know him," She mumbled. I wrapped my arm around her shoulders, and grinned at the other ladies. "Not yet, but I plan to get to know Sabina here as best as I can," I said. Half of the girls smiled in awe. The other half glared, or looked away angrily. I chuckled at their reactions. People are already jealous of us, and we aren't even a couple yet. Soon. Tull purred. Real soon. I agreed. Sabina knocked my arm off of her. "Don't touch me." She stated. I nodded. "Wait for you to ask before touching you. Got it." I said. Sabina whipped her head at me. I smiled brightly at her. "Sab, stop being such a grouch to the man." The first girl said. "She probably just doesn't want Serena to see someone flirting with her." The Cindy girl said. "We all know how much of a crush you have on her." I looked down to see Sabina giving Cindy a bored look. She isn't denying it. Does my mate have a thing for girls? Why does that excite and terrify me at the same time? "Whatever. I'm leaving. I'll see you guys this weekend for the cleanup," Sabina said. Then my mate turned on her heel, ready to march off. I quickly followed after her. "You almost left me back there." I teased. "Oh no." Sabina said sarcastically. I laughed. "Don't be mean to me. I like it too much," I said. Sabina stopped walking, and turned to face me. "I don't understand you," she said. I smiled at her. "I'd love for you to get to understand me," I said. Would she freak out if I told her we were soulmates right now? "Fine," she said. Damn, I could jump for joy right now. "We can be friends. That's it though. So stop flirting with me." She stated. My heart sank. "Am I not your type? No, I'm everyone's type. Is it because of that Serena girl? Do you have a boyfriend or something?" I started asking question after question. Sabina raised a brow at me. "No, it's nothing like that." She said. "Then why can't I flirt with you? I didn't walk up to you because I wanted to be your friend," I told her. An angry expression formed on my mate's face. Sh,it, did I say something wrong? Maybe I should slow my roll a bit. "I'm sure you didn't, but I don't like being an experiment. So, I would appreciate it if we could just start off as friends." She gritted out. "Experiment?" I asked, confused. I jogged until I was in front of Sabina. I stopped, and she tried to walk around me. I wouldn't let her. "What do you mean by that? Are you secretly a guy or something?" I asked. She doesn't look like a guy, but I've met plenty of trans folk who look exactly how they want. "What? No." Sabina said, clearly offended. Great, now I offended her. Sabina walked around me. This time I let her. I turned around, and walked next to her. "Look, I don't know what you mean by experiment, but I can try to start off as friends," I said. "Try?" Sabina asked. I let out a dry chuckle. "I'm a natural flirt, and I don't want to make any promises I can't keep. I wasn't lying when I said you were my type. It's going to be difficult not to flirt with you every chance I get," I told her. Sabina's cheeks turned pink. "Especially when you look that pretty when you blush," I added. Damn, she's beautiful. "Okay fine. If you try to behave yourself, I'll try not to get so mad at you." She said. "Deal." I said. "Does that mean I can have your phone number?" I asked. Sabina sighed. "Let's just see how this dinner turns out first," she said. *********************************************** I pestered Sabina the whole walk to her apartment. I asked her tons of questions about herself. Most she answered, some she didn't. I was thrilled to hear her voice no matter what she said. My mate is clearly not a virgin. Which kind of excites me. I can't wait for the day when she tells me that I'm the best she's ever had. I'm going to completely ruin her pu.ssy. So that I'm the only one who will ever be able to give her pleasure again. I'm going to leave temporary marks all over her body. But I have to be patient. Friends first. I'll make Sabina slowly fall in love with me. Who wouldn't fall in love with a guy like me anyway? I also found out that my girl is 21. A little bit younger than me, but much smarter than me. Sabina has good grades, and she seems to enjoy school. The only time she smiled was when she told me about her grades, and her friends that live with her. I spent the rest of the walk trying to make her smile again. I've never seen anything so beautiful in my life. One smile, and my heart started beating like crazy. I now know that my mate loves seafood. She isn't a fan of soup though. Sabina loves the beach and the ocean, but she doesn't get to go often. And her favorite color is blue. I'm infatuated. However, Sabina wouldn't answer any of my questions about her family though. Not even if she was around here. Or anything from her childhood. She must have had a bad home life. "Well, this is my place," Sabina said as she opened the door to her apartment. I followed her inside, and frowned. This small place is housing three people? I had to duck to get through the door. I walked inside, and looked around. It's cute and clean. My mate clearly takes good care of her home. However, I'm not too happy to see that this is the place she's been living in. This is way too small for her. Sabina deserves something bigger and more extravagant. Something that's close to the beach, so she can always see it. "Which room is yours?" I asked. Sabina's room better be big enough for all of her things at least. "Really? You just promised to try being friends," Sabina grumbled. I turned around to see her rummaging around in the kitchen. I walked over to her, until I was standing right behind her. I rested my hands on the counter, on either side of Sabina. My mate stiffened when I leaned in closer. "Trust me Sabina, if you'd let me have you… I'd take you right here in the kitchen. I don't need to go to your bedroom for that." I said lowly. Goosebumps rose across my mate's arms. I smirked. At least I'm affecting her to some extent. With great reluctance, I pulled myself away from my mate. "I just wanted to get to know you more. You can tell a lot about a person from their room," I said. Sabina turned around. I'm still decently close to her. Close enough to make her heartbeat pick up. It sounds like it could beat right out of her chest. It makes me want to get closer to her. I bet if I wrapped my arms around her, and just held her close to me, she would calm down. I could give her peace. If she'd just let me. "Maybe if you behave for this stupid dinner, I'll let you see my room." She said softly. I beamed as I leaned down to box her in again. I just want to make her comfortable. If I can just.. get.. closer.. Just when I was about to lean my head on her shoulder, to take in that sweet scent of hers.. Someone walked through the door, breaking the mood. "Well, well, well. Who's this?"
