I leaned back in my chair, studying Audrina’s face as I let my words hang in the air. The tension between us crackled like static electricity, and I could practically see the questions racing through her mind. There was a fire in her eyes—a stubborn, unrelenting flame that only seemed to grow brighter the longer I kept her waiting.
