Truth
I knew what they saw when I lead Cali through the doorway to the main room. I knew, and I didn’t care. They saw what I wanted them to see.
I knew what it meant, bringing her to them with my colours on her back. She might not know, but they did.
“Truth?” Gents eyes were the widest of the lot. He seemed genuinely shocked. But he hid it well as he climbed to his feet.
