Chapter Ten - Sleepover and Breakfast

1361 Words
Ruby’s P.O.V I was laying in the bed in the spare room of Cole’s house. Our little make-out session earlier? It never got very far; his little sister came barging in, luckily we pulled apart before she saw anything, acting like we were only watching T.V., his little sister Christie joined us for half an hour before she had to go to bed, she was such a little cutie…to be four again. I sort of think Cole was glad, think maybe it was getting too much for him. Anyway, where was I? Yes, I was laying in the spare room, but I couldn’t sleep. I don’t sleep well in strange places. I grabbed my phone texting Cole, not sure if he would be asleep yet. Ruby: Hey, are you awake? I can’t sleep, don’t do well sleeping alone in a strange house : ( x   Cole: You want to come through here? X   Ruby: I don’t want to get you in trouble X Yes, I love trouble, a lot, but I don’t want to get him in trouble or upset his parents after they were kind enough to let me stay. Cole: No, it is OK. They are sleeping, will be until tomorrow and they won’t come into any of the rooms in the morning so you can come through if you like? X I thought about it, deciding to go for it if it meant I would get some sleep. I climbed out of bed, quietly sneaking through to Cole’s room, jumping in next to him. “Hey,” I said, turning on my side to look at him. “Hey. You should have texted me sooner.” He said. “I thought you would have been sleeping,” I said. “I did doze off but not for long,” Cole said. I leant in running my fingers through his hair and down his face, Cole whimpering, in the same way, every time I touch him. I quickly pulled away, not wanting to overstep again maybe give him a rest for the time being. “Are you sure no one will come in Cole? I don’t wanna get you into trouble.” I said. “I am positive.” He laughed. I nodded, moving in closer to him, only for snuggles. I rested my head on his chest, Cole taking a moment to decide what he was going to do, finally wrapping his arm around me. I smiled, snuggling in closer. I could hear his heart thudding in his chest as I rested against his chest. I ran my hand down his tee, slipping it underneath, placing it on his stomach, Cole shuddering when I did. I smirked to myself; I get to him so easily. In all honesty, I thought this would be harder than what it actually has been going after him. “Sorry do you want me to remove it?” I asked. “No, it is OK.” He whispered out. I kept my hand where it was, circling his stomach with fingers. I could hear his breathing becoming more substantial. I stopped it, holding my hand still, his stomach was nice and warm. I soon felt his fingers in my hair, playing with the ends of it. I couldn’t help but smile, I liked getting my hair played with, and I found it soothing. “This OK?” He asked timidly. “Yes. I like it when my hair gets played with; it relaxes me, helps me fall asleep.” I said. “OK.” He said, continuing to do it. A silence fell between us in the darkroom. I have to admit; it felt nice laying here snuggling with someone. I nuzzled his neck with my face Cole moaning softly. I giggled, heat soon arising on his skin, meaning he was blushing. I softly kissed his neck, a line of feathered kisses on the surface, his body tensing next to me. “Ruby w…w…what you doing?” He stammered out. “Shall I stop?” I asked. “I…I…don’t know.” He mumbled. I decided to stop teasing him that was mean. I pulled my lips away from his neck, Cole letting out a loud breath that he must have been holding in. “Maybe we should try to get some sleep?” I suggested. “That sounds like a good idea, getting tired.” He said yawning. I reached up, pecking his lips quickly “Goodnight Cole.” I said, turning away from him. “Goodnight Ruby.” He said. He never moved, stayed laying on his back…nope, that is not happening. I leant behind me, grabbing his arm and pulled him towards me, his back to my front, pulling his arm over my body and holding his hands with mine. “I like spooning,” I said. “OK.” He said. Cole spooned me, a little fidgety for the first few moments, getting used to it since I am the first girl he has spooned, first girl, he has had in his bed. I soon hear his breathing becoming shallow, telling me he was drifting off, and I soon found myself doing the same. *** I woke, feeling great. I have not had a sleep like that in a long time. I think having someone cuddling into me helped me with that. Cole’s arm was still around me; he was snoring slightly, not too much that it was annoying, though. I can’t stand people that snore loudly, one of the most annoying sounds in the world. I slowly reached over, grabbing my phone to see the time; it was already close to ten a.m. I feel him shift slightly, letting out a soft chuckle when I felt his morning friend dig into me. It is a good thing he is still sleeping if he was not, then he would get embarrassed. I decided to pull away from him slightly, save him the embarrassment. I checked my phone for missed calls and texts, had a couple from my friends, a few texts from guys wanting to hook up. I deleted the ones from the guys, keeping the ones from my girl so I can reply later. And no surprise there was nothing from my father. “Morning.” I hear from behind me, making me jump a little, “Sorry never meant to scare you.” He added, laughing a little. “Morning,” I said, turning to face him. He looked sort of adorable in the morning. His hair was all messy, and he had the most pretty brown eyes, something I have never really noticed under his glasses. “Your eyes are beautiful; why do you always cover them with glasses? Never thought about contact lenses?” I said, stroking his cheek. “Never really thought about them, to be honest.” He said. “Oh…right. I was curious, that is all.” I smiled. “Did you sleep, OK?” He asked. “Really great actually, the best I have done in a long time. Did you sleep OK with someone next to you?” I asked. I don’t know what it was like for him since it was a new thing for him. “Yes, slept great actually.” He smiled. I smiled back at him, leant in and kissing him softly. Cole kissed me back. I kept it slow and only for a moment before pulling away. The two of lay there, chatting…he can be quite chatty once he gets started, it was nice to see. Our conversation got stopped when my stomach growled loudly, loud enough, Cole heard it, the two of us laughing. “Do you want some breakfast?” Cole asked. “It is OK I will get some when I get home, pick something up on the way,” I said. “Don’t be silly; I can make us some.” He said, climbing out of bed. The house seemed very quiet; maybe everyone was still sleeping. I climbed out of bed too, following after him, looking around. “They are away out, my sister and brother have football and dance, and parents are always busy on a Saturday morning.” He said. “I thought it was hushed,” I said. Cole led me through to the kitchen, making us both a coffee, getting started on breakfast…eggs and bacon. “You can hang out for the day if you are not ready to go home?” He said shyly. “Thank You. I would like that.” I smiled gratefully. I was not ready to head home, will eventually but not any time soon. I wouldn’t mind spending the day hanging out and doing nothing. I have a party tonight. I wonder if I could convince him to come with me? Hmm? Maybe a little too soon for that but I will one night get him to go with me.
