Chapter 4

301 Words
Sebastien read Savannah's book from start to finish in no time. He simply could not put it down. He was engrossed in Savannah's compelling storytelling. She was an excellent writer—a master at her craft and he couldn't wait to tell her what he thought...among other things. He punched in Savannah's number he had already put on speed dial from his landline, as Sebastien was still in the dark ages when it came to technology (there were still some things he didn't want to change) and waited for Savannah to pick up. It seemed like ages for Savannah to pick up, but in actuality, it was only a few minutes. “Hello?” Savannah answered her cell. “Savannah, I finished your manuscript and...” Sebastien began. “Already? That was quick?” Savannah said sounding generously surprised that Sebastien got back to her so quickly. “What can I say? You're a compelling storyteller. I simply couldn't put it down.” Sebastien said knowing that Savannah was blushing at his comments to her writing. “Wow, I haven't gotten such comments to my work before?” “Well, can we meet somewhere to discuss publishing?” “Sure. When would you want to do so?” “How about in an hour...say the Olive Garden for dinner and drinks?” “Okay, I'll meet you in an hour.” Savannah said before abruptly ending the call due to her excitement. She didn't know whether she was glad Sebastien liked her work or if it was her. But she didn't care. She went off to get ready to meet with Sebastien. Meanwhile, Sebastien's limo driver pulled up in front of the restaurant as he was already enroute when he called Savannah and went inside to wait for Savannah to arrive.
