Chapter 5

331 Words
Savannah arrived at the restaurant ready to meet Sebastien when she was informed he had to abruptly leave. Feeling put off by Sebastien's absence, Savannah went back to her car and drove home not wanting to see Sebastien again. Meanwhile, Sebastien was involved in a car accident when his bodyguard called to tell him news of his mother's illness in his home country and left the restaurant before Savannah had even arrived. He never made it to the airport to take a flight when his limo was hit head-on from the oncoming car. A passerby witnessed the accident and immediately call 9-1-1 to get emergency crews to the site and went to check on any survivors. The driver was dead at the scene when the passerby check their pulse, but when the passerby checked on Sebastien, he was unconscious but breathing, so the passerby pulled off his jacket and covered him up until paramedics arrived. Not five minutes later, paramedics arrived and tended to Sebastien, and the passerby showed one to the driver, who was already dead when he arrived. As soon as Sebastien's vital signs were taken and put on a gurney and loaded into the ambulance, he was immediately taken to the hospital. A police officer arrived and took the passerby's statement account of the accident. At the hospital, Sebastien was wheeled into the ER for an assessment of his injuries and immediately taken to the OR for surgery. Savannah was brushing her teeth and getting ready to go to bed when a call came in on her cell from her editor, “Hello?” “Savannah, you haven't heard?” her editor asked. “No, what happened?” “Sebastien was involved in a car accident.” “Oh, no! That's why he wasn't at the restaurant when I arrived!” Savannah deduced. “Last I heard he was in surgery.” her editor said. “I need to get to the hospital.” Savannah told her editor.
