Finding her way

Chapter 6

Morning came as the birds started chirping close to the windows, Caroline woke up having to use the bathroom, she got out of bed and did her business. She washed her hands walking out the door, Mason was up and went to the bathroom, he's always grumpy when he first wakes up, she looked in one of her suit cases, and found a pair of jeans, and a pull over shirt, she put them on, when Alpha Mason came out of the bathroom he only had on a towel around his waist. He forgot she was there when He dropped the towel, she blushed looking away as he got dressed, "sorry I'm used to being alone, but you're my mate so of course I'm going to come out naked at times. Get used to it. Ok, are you ready to go?" She nodded yes, he took her arm leading het to the elevator as soon as it stopped to the first floor he was half dragging her out of the house she felt a bruise forming on her arm, when they were head outside she grabbed the door so he couldn't pull her anymore, he stopped looking at her, "why are you doing that for?" "Because I know how to walk, and you're dragging me out the door." she jerked her arm away rubbing her arm with her hand, he looked down looking at the bruise, "I'm sorry, are you okay?", "Yeah I'm okay let's just get this over with," 

They walked out the door got into the car and drove off, ten minutes later they made it to the pack doctors,he took blood out of her arm and then did x rays, the nurse did the exam in her because the alpha didn't want a man doing it, it took them six hours to get everything done, when she came  back into the waiting area, doctor Jeff called Alpha Mason in the back. "I want you to look at these x-rays." he put them on the screen so he could look at them. "you see here. She's not a werebear or a werewolf, she's a werecat and werecats don't shift until they are of age. And that's eighteen years old. I don't even know what kind she is. There are so many. Jaguars. Lions, tigers, leopards, bobcats. We will only find out when she shifts, do you think she knows about this at all. Do you know how old she is?" Alpha Masons walked out a few minutes later he walked back in with Caroline he told her to sit down. "Caroline, we need to talk to you." Caroline was scared she looked down toward the floor she didn't want to look up. She was too worried and scared. Doctor Jeff started speaking. "Caroline. Did you know you are a werecat and not a werewolf or a werebear. How old are you and when is your birthday?" She looked up at them confused. She honestly thought they would tell her she was human and they wanted her out of the pack and they were going to throw her in the cells to die

"No, I didn't know. I was just a baby when my mother died. She died giving birth to me." "Well when you leave here, you will have to call your father and ask him why he didn't tell you what you truly are. How old are you?" .."I'm only 17. My birthday is in three months." they both nodded. "Then we need to get you stronger and more healthier because we don't know how strong you need to be to shift into a werecat, but only time will tell. You are free to leave the hospital with Alpha Mason." They both nodded and left. When they got in the car and started driving. He handed her his cell. "Call your father. I want to know why he didn't tell you as well."
