Chapter 4: Angel's Mission

“Why is it so hard to be an angel in the gate of Heaven? It's kind of boring.” While angel Gavreel is busy murmuring in the gate of heaven, the ruler of Kaluwalhatian called his name.
“Gavreel. I can hear you, so stop complaining. I have a task for you.” The angel straighten up, afraid of the punishment from the ruler, he answered Him right away.
“At your service, my dear Creator.”
“Good. That's more like it. Now, stand up and watch the clouds.”
Gavreel followed the ruler's instruction, and he saw flashes of scenes from a certain person. He then asked the ruler of his mission.
“Is this guy related to my task, my dear Creator?”
“Gavreel, can you please, just watch everything first and I will tell you later about your mission.”
Gavreel just zippered his talkative mouth and watch the flashes of scenes like a television use on earth.
“You always care about money. I need money. You have to give me money. Didn't you care for me at all?”
“Am I not allowed to be happy? Do I always have to be the one to take care all of you? Where the hell is ME in your HEART? WHERE?”
“I told you I was sick and I have no money to give you. Why can't you believe me? Why?”
...
“Excuse me, my dear Creator?”
“Silence, Gavreel! I told you...”
“But I'm crying. I need a tissue, please?”
The ruler just laugh while seeing the expression of his angel. His tears keep running all over his cheeks. He is a cry baby angel. The ruler just magically handed down boxes of tissue in his hands for him to continue watching.
“Thank you,” he said then continued watching the next scenes.

“I have done enough so much for you. Why can't you just leave me alone! I did everything to help you. Can you at least understand my situation for once? I am not a robot!”
“I don't know you. We are not siblings in blood. Just let me go.”
“Why can't you put yourself in my shoes? Do you know how it feels to being bullied in your work because you cannot hear every single words they speak?”
“Do you even realize how miserable I was because you didn't understand me at all? That no one understands my situation. The family I have never even understands me.”
“GOD, PLEASE LET ME DIE! WHY ARE YOU ALWAYS SAVING ME? I WANT TO DIE! I HATE MY LIFE ANYMORE.”
“I don't deserve this pain. I cannot take it anymore. God, please let me die!”

The sea of clouds suddenly disappear and the ruler silently watch Gavreel weeping and wiping his tears. The two boxes full of tissues were even torn apart. He wanted to laugh, but He understands Gavreel. He knows his predicaments even before he was completing his mission in the underworld. He just stared at him.
Gavreel realized that he was not able to control his emotion and busted out in tears. He continued crying and wiping his wet face without realizing that the flashes of scenes he was watching earlier was already finished. He stopped what his doing then listened to what the ruler is about to say. But, a few minutes have pass by, Gavreel did not hear anything. Then, he began grumbling in his mind, not knowing that the ruler can even hear him.
“What is wrong with HIM? He let me watched the scenes then left me all alone, again? He did not even tell me what my mission is all about. I'm going crazy!”
“Gavreel! I heard you.”
“I... I'm sorry, my dear Creator. It was unintentional.”
“How many times do I have to tell you that I am the ruler of Kaluwalhatian and I can even hear all things including your complaints and murmuring, Gavreel. You are making me angry. Do you want me to throw you back into the Dungeons of the Murderer?”
Gavreel didn't utter words anymore. He doesn't want punishment, not even in the Dungeons of the Murderer. He knew that place, and he promised to himself not to go back there again.
“I'm sorry.”
“Okay. Then listen to me.” Gavreel nodded as a sign of agreement and listen very carefully to what the ruler is about to convey to him regarding his mission.
“You are also a grim reaper and you are about to bring Eugene Laurent here in the gate of heaven.”
“But, why me?”
“Because you are always talking rubbish here. I know how bored you are because most of the dead person were thrown into the pit of Gehenna and nothing has been walking here in the gate ever since. Eugene is an exception. You see how miserable his life is even during his childhood years. I purposely let you watch his current hardships and pains, so you know what to do when it's time for him to leave earth and enter my realm.”
“Is he allowed to be with us, my dear Creator?”
“It's up to you. I am giving you a mission to judge him when he enters the gate. The right for a task is also given to you, so you can judge him fair and square. If he is not ready, you know what to do. The Valley of Forgiveness and The River of Purity are waiting. That is all for now. I am counting on you, Gavreel. Remember, I can still see you wherever you are. Good luck.”
Gavreel was about to ask one more question, but the ruler's voice stop. What he can only do is to remember His words and the task He assigned to him. He entrusted him the mission, and he must do his best to accomplish it. But, first, he needs to go to the Library of Memories to read Eugene Laurent's life starting from his natal day until his scheduled death. He needs to know more about his past in order to find out the reason behind his loneliness, pain, and agony in life, so he can create a task for him.
