"What? I should make you my Luna? No way! What makes you think you are ready enough to calm my wolf and become my life partner?" I laughed at her statement mockingly.
"Then be ready to be an outcast" Ann replied as she crossed her legs
"Think about it, dear" Ann stood up and walked out of the room magnetically. I thought of her statements deeply. It's true about what she said, if any werewolf finds out that my mate is a vampire, I will be banished from the pack. I do not want to be a banished alpha even when I want my mate to be my Luna.
A handkerchief in the cupboard poked out. I dragged it out of the cupboard and glared at it
"Samantha" I heaved and glared at the blue handkerchief that had Damien stitched beautifully on it.
"Ten years without you was no fun, now you will pay for your mistakes. I will punish you and then eat you raw when I find you" I muttered and tucked the handkerchief into my pocket when I heard a knock at the door. I shoved away my thoughts.
"Come in" I spoke with a loud voice so that the person knocking at the door could hear. The door slowly opened, and my mother's maid walked in with her eyes boring into the floor. I knew what she was here for, my mother must have sent her to call me for lunch with Alpha Festus
"I will be at the dining hall soon" I spoke. The maid walked out of the room and closed the door silently.
I walked out of the room and went to the dining hall. I sighted four people at the dining table-my mother, Ann, Alpha Festus, and a young man
"Good thing you are here, I was just talking with Alpha Festus about you," Mother said as she smiled widely.
"Your mother is right, we were both talking about you. You proved to be a strong Alpha within a couple of years. You are more like a popular hero now. I was so delighted at your mother's invite to have lunch with you" Alpha Festus spoke and I smiled
"It is an honor to have lunch with you, sir" I replied and sat next to mother as I picked up the fork.
"Well, we did not just talk about your ability and strength, we also talked about you and Ann. Wouldn't it be great to have an Alpha and another Alpha's daughter married? I mean you and Ann are compatible with each other" Alpha Festus spoke and I raised my head with a fake smile plastered on my face."Well, we did not just talk about your ability and strength, we also talked about you and Ann. A happy expression was plastered on his face. He must be so happy to finally give his rotten daughter out to someone of a higher rank.
"It would be wonderful and an honor too to have a gorgeous and strong warrior like Ann by my side. But don't you think it's a little too fast, we don't know each other that well." I was convinced and the happy expression on his face turned into a frown
"What do you mean by you don't know Ann? You both were talking before she came here" Alpha Festus said
"I don't mean to be rude, but are you not supposed to be at your pack? Doing your duty as an alpha instead of sitting down to lunch invitation and giving out your daughter forcefully" I spoke and mother raised her eyebrow at me. Ann's expression became sour as she looked down at the food
"He meant, he needs a little time to know Ann more" Mum spoke. I rolled the pasta with the fork and watched how tension grew in the hall.
"Alright, you both can have the required time you need, we will give you both time to talk to each other" Alpha Festus said and he stood up. The young man sitting next to him did the same
"Are you leaving already? You did not even have lunch with us" Mum cooed and I started to eat, totally ignoring mum's attitude towards Alpha Festus
"It's fine, I have something urgent to do," Alpha Festus said hurriedly as he walked away and the young man followed
"Hehe... Damien, can we talk after you are done having lunch?" Mum said with anger in her speech
"Of course" I replied and she walked away angrily. I didn't mean to make her angry but I was only trying to point out right from wrong. I continued to eat the pasta and heard the chair screech. That was when I noticed that Ann was still in the dining hall. She pushed the chair to the back with her butt and stood up firmly.
"I will take my leave now" Ann spoke. It sounded like she was speaking with fear in her voice. She turned away and was about to leave.
"Alright, I agree with what you say. It's just to make you the Luna, right?" I asked
"Of course, what else do I wish for? I was called mateless for so many years. Now I will be the Luna of a pack, every wolf will not dare to utter a word against me" Ann uttered with a happy expression on her face.
"Rule one, I do not like to see someone else happy when I am sad. It's disgusting" I said and she squeezed her lips, making the smile on her face disappear and I felt a little comfortable.
"Alright, Alpha Damien" She uttered and I decided to ask her questions since she have not found her mate yet
"What if you find your mate? I mean what if he wants to be with you, what then?"
"Then I will leave you and marry him" Ann spoke and I sighed in relief
"I hope you find your mate soon. A minute with you is making my mind in chaos" I muttered and she furrowed her eyebrows
"But if I don't find my mate quickly, I will gladly stay in your abode"
"You don't have any rules?"
"Oh! I do. Rule one, no touching. Rule two, no kissing. Rule three, we will sleep in different rooms"
"Then what is your duty as a Luna if I can't do those things with you?"
"This relationship is just a deal and a compromise, okay?"
"Alright. My rule two, is I can flirt wth other women, and do whatever I want with them as usual. This means I can get many concubines"
"Of course, who am I to say no to that?"
"Well, you are in the best position to choose the concubine to an alpha. I desire a gorgeous and clean, sexy lady." I smirked.
