Saskia’s POV
We were sat in this hospital room and it stank so strongly of disinfectant and was so clean. I had never seen a hospital so spick and span, they obviously took hygiene very seriously here.
Lennie was sat beside me, holding my hand tightly and I felt like I did not want him to let go at all.
Anaya had been banned from coming into the hospital with us but she was not happy about the situation. I was beginning to wonder if she regretted bringing me back here with her.
Emie would be so astonished when I told her about all of this.
“Are you ok?” Lennie whispered into my ear and I felt my cheeks burn at the sound of his voice.
Sadie turned to look at the pair of us and glared at Lennie like he were poison to her, I felt awful that I had this weird connection to him but I couldn’t be away from him. I could not explain to myself why that was, all I knew was that I needed to be close to him.
“I am ok, thanks.” I nodded and smiled before shyly looking back to the blue tiled flooring.
Lennie’s parents came back out of the room with the doctor. All wearing the same blank facial expression. When my eyes met his mothers, I pulled my hand away from Lennie and caused him to let out a little growl which made me gasp.
“Sadie, Saskia, we have some news for you.” The doctor said perching on the empty seat opposite me and Sadie.
“Ok, what is it?” Sadie rudely demanded and I cringed at the attitude that radiated off this girl.
“Excuse me, no need to be rude.” Lennie’s father warned Sadie and she fell silent crossing her arms over her chest.
“The news is that you are in fact sisters. The other thing I need to tell you is that you are indeed the daughters of the King Anders and Queen Selene. This news cannot be spoken outside of this room. Alpha and Luna here have agreed to keep your safety at the highest level. Saskia, I am afraid to say but you cannot leave this pack territory’s until we have come up with a long term solution.” The doctor explained, his words were going in one ear and out the other. Making absolutely no sense. It was like watching a film in a different language with no subtitles.
Sadie’s parents were crying hysterically and I hated to see them like that but it had also cut me deep too. This was just nuts.
“I can’t stay here.” I stood up and exclaimed. I needed to go home, see my dad and my mum. I had to finish school.
Lennie pulled me back and I fell into him. He was trying to soothe me and I realised then that I was crying.
Sadie looked deep in her own thoughts and finally looked up at me as if seeing me for the very first time.
“We are sisters. We are the lost Lycan sisters.” She said.
“I think you two have some serious explaining to do.” Lennie’s mum, Lara suddenly pointed to Sadie’s parents who bowed and shook with fear and confusion.
“You what?” We all looked up and there stood Anaya in the doorway. She was shaking with so much anger and I could see the cold but deathly look in her eyes as they met mine.
“They are the twins of Queen Selene. No way!” Anaya exclaimed. She and tears rolling down her cheeks and I felt sorry for her. My head was like a train wreck of emotions.
“Anaya..” Lennie shouted but she turned on her heel and ran off. Lennie followed her and I stood there alone and almost hysterical.
What sort of a nightmare was this!
