A long sigh echoed through my car as I drove down a long stretch of winding road as the sun slowly rose, my thoughts heavy with the weight of suspicion and betrayal. After talking to the Alpha, I realized that Val, my childhood friend and fellow werewolf, was the only person that knew Mia was my mate and that I had talked to the Alpha about it. There was a clear link but I just couldn't bring myself to believe it. Not Valerie. Not someone I trust with my life.
After checking with the Moon Valley pack, I found out that Valerie was not in the packhouse and had not been seen there for months. So, I decided to go to the Red Paws pack to see if she was there, since that was where I heard she was at last.
