BROKEN EPISODE SIXTEEN

Seeing Lorna surprised me because according to Melvin she had left. What was really going on. Why did she have me kidnapped and was she the one who tried to kill us earlier, I mean could her hatred extend to her son that she would want him dead too.

Lorna: sit!

She commanded and I stood there looking at her like I wasn't going to take commands from her.

Lorna: I said sit your a** down! She said emphasizing and having one of his men sit me down. I hated Lorna and this time with a passion.

Me: you would stoop this low, you almost killed me back there and not just me.. Leo was in that car too..

She slapped me so hard that I saw darkness and tiny stars dance in my face.

Lorna: you thought I would let go just like that, no. You don't know me yet... Get out boys..

The boys got out and I was left with her. Now I was terrified as I didn't know what she had planned. This woman was wicked and I don't think any of her son's knew to what extent..

She took off the scarf she was wearing and hang it on the chair and sat facing me.

Me: you are a coward, you know that right?

She answers that with another slap across my face and when I atemted to jump on her but she pulled a knife from under her sleeves and pointed it to my face..

Lorna: let me not remind you that I'm the one in charge..

I sat back thinking of a way I could overpower her.

Lorna: I don't hate my son's, I don't hate Leo but if he chose you and I wanted you dead, you would just go with him..

Me: why am I here?

Lorna: you are standing in my way and the moment I get rid of you, I will be free to get my inheritance.

Me: inheritance from where?

She laughed and brushed that off.

Lorna: you killed my sister, why?

Me: I killed your sister, no. Jade is in jail for the murder of Magdalene.

Lorna: but we all know she didn't. You are a little cunning b*tch and you know it. See I'm not Melvin who is blinded by your charms, and I'm not Leo either.

Me: you know what I don't get, why you hate her and still defend her.

Lorna: you are right, I don't like her but I know she wouldn't have a reason to kill Magdalene, Magdalene was taking care of her son.

Me: correction, my son. Ethan is my son...

Lorna: mmh..and what do you think you can offer him?

I didn't respond to that.

Leo was confused after the kidnap and he didn't know where to start looking so he got a cab and was dropped at ndegwa's home, right where melvin was waiting with Ethan. That was the night they were meant to move back to their home and start a fresh. Melvin had waited long enough and when he called Benta, her phone was not going through.

Leo rushed to the house and when he opened he door and got in, Melvin got up and when he looked behind Leo, Benta was not there.

Melvin: have you seen Benta, I thought you guys were together.

Leo: why would you think that?

Melvin: isn't it obvious?.

Leo: what?

Melvin: where is she?..

Leo: Benta got kidnapped an hour ago when I was bringing her back home.

Melvin didn't even wait to hear the other part of it. He gave Leo a blow that landed him on the seat and when he attempted to get up again he kicked him and forgot about his neck or the fact that he was not okay. He checked his fist as Leo dragged himself up holding his jaw..

Leo: what's wrong with you?

Melvin: you better pray that Benta is alive or else...

Leo: or else what bro... Or else what?

Leo asked pushing him back ready for war and if he was holding back, it was only because he knew Melvin was not well.

Melvin came at him again and they started a fight, Leo gave him several blows in the stomach then they were in a real fight.

Melvin: you want my woman?

Leo: I don't think you will have a woman if you don't act. I told you, Benta has been kidnapped..

They stopped fighting and Leo helped Melvin up then Melvin pushed his hand away.

Melvin: who took her?

Leo: I don't know. I thought you could know something that's why I came here.

Melvin sat on the couch and Leo stood there holding to his waist breathing heavily after the fight.

"Officer.... Get me out of here!"

Jade shouted banging on the rails as she got harrased by some of the women who were inside the cell. Jade needed to pee and despite being told by the women she was supposed to pee in the bucket she refused and couldn't stop shouting..

Officer: shut your mouth woman, you think you are in your house?

Jade: officer please,I need to pee.

The officer pointed to the bucket and started to walk away.

Jade: what is that supposed to mean, I need to pee in the bathroom, like a woman.

The officer walked away and left her cursing there with the other women laughing at her..

Lorna got up and paced about then stood there staring at me. The funniest thing is that I was not tied up or anything but I just didn't have the courage to jump on her and tear her apart. I kept thinking what was happening to my son and if Melvin already knew I was missing. We had plans to go back to our house and if the police didn't pick me up...

Lorna: I want to make you a deal.

She said sitting again and looking me straight in the face with the knife still in her hand.

Me: and what's the deal.

Lorna: I will give you two million shillings, just so that you can stay away from my children, from my son's.. you can take that thing you call a son with you. I don't want to associate with anything smelling of poverty..

When I heard that I didn't even wait for her to finish her sentence. I jumped on her and we both fell over the chair and the knife fell off. I slapped her face several times scratching it to leave her marks she would never forget. That would be a reminder of someone that smelled like poverty.

I left her there and ran off but she started to shout and I did not get far as the boys who were waiting outside grabbed me and forcefully took me back inside to where Lorna was. She was already up dusting herself. She looked at me with such anger in her eyes then she took the knife from the floor and drove it into my stomach as the boys held on to me. I screamed in pain then she covered my mouth and pulled the knife out of my stomach.

Lorna: I gave you the easiest way out but now... You just signed for your death and I will make it painful, just like my sister's was. Rest in peace b*tch..

She dropped the knife and looked at one of the guys who was holding on to me.

Lorna: do to her whatever you please, then get rid of her..

With those words she wiped the blood on her hands on my blouse and walked away leaving me with those dogs.

I know someone who can help track her down.

Leo said as he took out his phone and Melvin noticed a bruise on his arm. He had thought of getting it dressed when he took Benta to the pharmacy but after seeing he car pull over and someone grab Benta, he didn't even do what had taken him there.

Melvin: where did you get that?

He asked looking at Leo's hand.

Leo: we got attacked on our way from the police station. It wasn't just one person after us Melvin. The first guy shot at us and left after my car ended up in a ditch. He thought we were dead, then the car that picked Benta was a different one and now I'm starting to think it's her they really wanted.

Melvin didn't say anything when Leo confirmed that whoever he was calling was not picking the call.

Leo: I'm going to look for her... Keep watch of Ethan.

He tapped Melvin's shoulder and walked out of the house...

The guys dragged me out of the building and pushed me in the van with my hands taped. I didn't know who they were but one of the faces seemed familiar only that I couldn't tell where I had seen him before. Someone once told me that if you were attacked by thugs and you knew them,act like you don't because they would end up killing you just so that you don't sell them out..

Me: please I'm begging you.. let me go back home to my son. I will give you anything you want.

I could see a smile on their faces and I couldn't even tell what was funny.

Guy 1: anything?

That question sounded like he was suggesting something I did not mean so I shrunk back but another of the guys grabbed me and pushed me to the one that looked familiar. He pushed me back to the other guy and they tossed me around until one of them tore my blouse and undressed me in front of the rest of them and r***d me as the other two watched. I tried to fight him off but the other guy held me still as the one who was familiar watched. I had tears in my eyes, I pleaded with him to help me but he lit his cigar and smoked it as he watched them. I cried as the two took turns on me and I had to fully surrender because there was nothing else I could do..

When they were done, they asked the driver to stop the car and they got me out of the van and dumped me by the roadside with a wound in my stomach and my body sore after everything they did to me.

What was I even left to fight for, how was I going to live with all this, how was I going to face the world tomorrow. I wanted to die and I didn't make an effort to fight for my life.. I crawled to the middle of the road so that a track would run after me and so that I could die for sure because I was dead anyway....
