“Did you already forget all the things her family did to you... to OUR family!?” Kris' father yelled as he pointed at me in an accusing manner, making me flinch in fear.
“You're right they did, but that was before Mary came to live with them, and that wasn’t even her choice to make! Her mother died, so she didn’t have anywhere else to go,” Kris defended as he looked at me apologetically.
I didn’t even know that Steph had told that to Kris, so I observed him cautiously as he focused on his father.
“It doesn’t matter, she is just like them. Why else would she play around with the whole soccer team? You are being too naive Kris!” He growled.
