[Mary’s POV]
As we had been driving for some time, Kris pulled in to the side of the road. We didn’t talk for the whole drive, so it caught me a bit off guard, when he suddenly spoke.
“I lied, you know,” he stated out of the blue, which made me observe him questioningly.
“About what?” I asked him, not sure of what he actually was talking about.
“When I told you I didn’t care about you... The truth is... I care a lot about you, Mary.” He revealed, turning towards me.
I felt my heart jump a beat as he said that, feeling my cheeks blush as I took some time to gather enough courage to ask him something.
“How did you know where I was?” I asked him, as my gaze met his once again.
