AT JAKE'S POW:

I pulled her closer to me and started to walk faster towards the pack hospital. I am hoping to hear that she is okay. It's such a weird feeling. I never was worried about anyone, and now I care about this human girl. I walked inside the pack house, and the pack healer looked at me, confused.

-What is wrong, my prince?-She asked me.

I sighed and explained to her what happened, except telling her that she is my mate. I laid her down on the bed and looked at Eva worriedly.

-I check her.-The pack doctor said, and started her work.

I sat down close to Eva's bed while watching her. I did not kill her, am I?

-I can tell a few things. When Eva said to you that she was hit by the car, she wasn't lying. I can tell that by her unhealed body. Also, she is right about teleporting here. I can feel that her body is much more connected somewhere else. -The pack doctor said.

-What can you do to help her?-I asked.

- She will heal, don't worry. Next time try not to pull her that hard, or you are going to break something.-The pack doctor said, and I nodded.

-There is a way to make it faster?-I asked.

-I need to give her some of the wolf blood. That helps her to heal faster. Miss Eva stays here until tomorrow morning.-The pack doctor said.

-Alright. If something happens, send someone to me to tell me.-I said, and she nodded.

-You should drink some tea to make you no longer drunk, prince.-Pack doctor said and handed me a small bag of herbs.

-Alright. Thank you.-I said and left.

I walked back to my pack house. It's hard to believe that I can let my wolf act like that when I am drunk. I need to learn to control myself more. I laid down on the bed because I decided to have a nap. I need to rest a bit more before tomorrow's ball.

NEXT DAY

AT EVA'S POW:

I woke up with a huge headache. I opened my eyes and realized that I am not in my room or kitchen. I saw a female standing close to me and looked at her, confused.

-Finally you are awake. I am a pack doctor here.-Woman said and smiled.

-How did I got here?-I asked her.

- Prince Jake bought you here. I made sure that you will be okay, so he left.-Pack doctor said and smiled.

- I am happy that you helped me, but I have to go. I need to do a lot of things before the ball.-I said and tried to get up.

-You are staying here until the next morning. If everything is alright, I will let you leave.-Pack doctor said and I sighed.

-Fine.-I said and fell asleep again.

The next day I felt a bit better than yesterday, so the pack doctor let me leave. I went back to my room and got ready for work. I know that I have to do a lot of things before the ball.

- You are here, Eva. What happened to you yesterday?-Cook asked me worriedly.

-I got into some accident, so I had to ask the pack doctor for help, don't worry.- I said and smiled.

-If you say so. I started to work on the last preparations before the ball, and you can begin to prepare the desserts who takes most of the ti.-Cook said, and I nodded.

I made a chocolate cake batter and took me about an hour because this cake is for two hundred people. I need to prepare two hundred plates of the same desert with all same toppings. After one more hour, I got everything ready and placed the cake inside the oven. After about one hour, the cake was ready. I placed it inside the freezer and got ready the filling for the cake. It's simple cream cheese filling, but it absolutely fits this cake. After that, I cut the cake into half through the middle and the whole cake into two hundred slices. I placed all cake pieces on the plates, placed one half of the cake then I put the filling on, and another piece on top. When I finished, I saw that I have more cream left, so I covered it all over the slices.

-What you think?-I asked the cook.

-That does look good.-Cook said and smiled.

I smiled and finished the last touches on the desserts. I helped to do cook his part, and we finished everything thirty mins before the ball.

-You are free to do what you want. I think you never saw werewolves ball before so you can try to watch a bit. I do not mind.-Cook said.

-Tank you.-I said and left back to my room.

I sat down on the bed and sighed. I never thought that I will have some friends and some free time here. I saw Alya walking inside the room, and I smiled.

-Hi Alya, what bought you here?-I asked her and smiled.

-I thought that you might want to come to a party too.-Alya said.

-I do not her oufit Alya. I am human and something bad can happen if someone finds out.-I said and sighed.

-I got an oufit for you. Lucky to you we are almost the same size, girl.-Alya said and smiled.

- I do not know what to say.-I said and sighed.

- You do not have to say anything. You need to put this dress on!-Alya said and pushed me into my room.

I sighed, but Alya did not let me go until I changed my clothes. I am happy that she is helping me, but I am scared that someone in the ball will recognize me.

-All done. Now I will fix your hair.-Alya said.

I felt how she put my hair into the high bun and fixed up messy parts of it. When I looked in the mirror, I saw a beautiful woman looking at me.

-You are ready.-Alya said and took my hand.

-I need my mask.-I said and placed the mask on my face.

It was a masquerade ball, so I am doing the right thing. I walked inside the ball with Alya and finally felt good.

AT THE SAME TIME

AT JAKE'S POW:

This ball is so boring. I can easily recognize each alpha's daughter, and they already trying to flirt with me. I grabbed one glass of punch and took a few sips. It tastes nice, but still, I like wine more.

-Who is she?-One of alpha's son's grinned.

I looked in that direction and saw a woman wearing a blood color dress and talking with another woman. From here I can tell that she is pretty.

-She does look pretty, but I can not feel her wolf.-My wolf said.

-What do you mean?-I asked.

-She might be that servant girl.-My wolf said and smirked.

-You are serious?-I asked my wolf curiously.

-Who knows? Alya is good friends with her.-My wolf said.

I looked there again and saw a few wolves talking to her. One of them even started to flirt with her.

- I do not like that guy close to her.-I said to my wolf.

-Then talk to her.-My wolf said.

I frowned. I do not walk to her and talk to her like that. Still, if I do nothing that other alpha son will try to make her fall in love and I will lose my mate. Did I just call Eva my 'mate'? What in the world is wrong with me. I must act calm, or my father will suspect something and that will not end well.
