Chapter twelve

1213 Words
Waiting to go and reclaim my pack felt like being in a house fire and just waiting on the flames to consume you. But I was not frightened for myself, I was frightened for my people. As each day goes on things there get worse. If you're wondering how I've been getting my information the answer was simple. I had an insider feeding me information. The Alpha had suddenly changed the age for the females to 16. So before they could even shift they were forced into a w***e house.  Now there have been instances where the the parents would hide their children. They always got caught though. People have tried non stop to leave the pack, willing to become rouges to save their children. They were always caught and forced back into the pack and beaten until they were on the brink of death. "Klaus, I don't know if I can wait the three months." I said honestly. He caressed my face gently. "It has been two months already love. The warriors here are prepared and I can promise the warriors coming will be."  I knew he was trying to reassure me and help calm me down but recently it wasn't working. My mind was running a million miles a minute, my nerves were firing like wild fire. I was more than ready now to take my pack back now. I bounced from foot to foot nervously as Klaus and I waited at the packs boarders for the first reinforcements arrived. The dragons were on their way here now, and as excited as I was to meet them, I was more anxious for the rest to arrive so we could leave. I wish more than anything they all arrived early.  "Look, there they are." Klaus said pointing to the sky. I looked up and my anxious and nervous thought flew out the window. Above us was what looked to be an army of amazing and beautiful creatures, creatures I never even knew existed. When they landed I couldn't help but to walk forward and stare in awe at them. "Wow." I breathed as I took in the dragons. There were all colors. Red, green, deep purple, gold, sapphire blue. And their sized ranged from massively huge to some as small as a large bear. "Wow, Klaus they are beautiful." I told him.  A rumbling from the group of dragons was heard and I could only assume they were laughing. Each of them shifted back one by one and to say I was impressed was a serious understatement. These people were huge. All of them standing taller than six foot even the women were at least five foot nine to six foot. "So I am guessing you haven't shown her your dragon yet, huh Klaus?" A man asked as he walked forward and embraced Klaus briefly. "No, we haven't had the time. Between training and...other things. We've been busy."  The insinuation of his words made me blush deeply. Not that I'm embarrassed that we've made love, I mean come on he is my mate, but I still didn't like talking about it publicly, even if it was in a roundabout way. Klaus held my mark, which, as ironic as it was, was a dragon wrapped around a wolf. See when a wolf marks his or her mate they put their own mark on the other and each wolves mark was different.  But when a dragon marks their mate, they don't bite like a wolf does. What they do is run their talons down their mates neck. And let me tell you, that is not a pleasant experience. It hurt like hell before it turned into indescribable pleasure. But same as wolves, the scratch heals into their own distinctive mark. So now on my neck a wolf and a dragon stood proudly side by side. The wolf was howling while the dragon had its wings spread and breathing fire. Both marks looked as if they were tattoos and humans wouldn't be able to tell a difference, only supernaturals would know they were marks from their mates.  Before I could register what was happening I was off my feet and wrapped in someone's arms. Jade, uncomfortable with what happened surged forward and shoved, launching us away from whoever grabbed us and sending the other person flying. I crouched, growling at the lump that lay several feet away from me. I was actually surprised that I'd sent the person that far back. These people were seven foot of pure muscle.  The person who I now knew was a man jumped to his feet laughing. "Damn Klaus. You've got a strong mate." He said rubbing the back of his head. Klaus smiled as he walked over to me pulling me to his side. I instantly relaxed, melting in his arms. "Willow, this is my younger brother Max." Regret filled me. "I am so sorry Max." I said ashamed. "Don't worry about it Willow." He said nonchalantly. "All of you will be staying in the pack house." I informed them. "Please, follow me." As I turned to walk away I grabbed Klaus's hand and pulled him with me. "I'm sorry for what I did to your brother." I whispered.  Klaus laughed. "It's alright love. Honestly your reaction was exactly what I hoped it would be. Now I know if another man grabs you, you'd fight him." Right as I was about to respond he swooped me up in his arms and carried me bridal style. I giggled leaning forward and kissing his mark. Klaus shuddered and a rumble vibrated through him. When he looked at me his eyes were glowing, the gold in his eyes looking as if it was molten as it swirled around his iris. "What are you doing?" He asked huskily. "Playing." I said with mock innocence.  Klaus growled lowly before pulling me into a kiss. His mouth was bruising against mine as we devoured each other, our tongues fighting for dominance over the other, neither of us willing to submit, which only made the kiss turn harder and more passionate. I moaned into Klaus's kiss as his large hand squeezed my ass. "Ah hem." Someone cleared their throat behind us. My face grew red as a tomato and I buried it into Klaus's chest trying not laugh.  "So, is this where we'll be staying?" Max asked laughing. I jumped out of Klaus's arms and faced them. "Yes. One of the Omega's will show you your rooms." I told them. And just as I said it a small group of Omegas arrived heads bowed. "Please show our guests to their rooms." I told them. "Yes Alpha." They said. "Thank you." Turning back to the warriors I smiled. "Supper will be served at six this evening, all of you will be eating with us until all this is over. If you need help finding your way around don't hesitate to ask someone or holler for me. I will hear you no matter where you are in the house."  They all nodded and followed the Omegas into the house and to their rooms. After they were gone I was able to release the breath I didn't even know I was holding. Damn those dragons were something else.
