"A new student?!" The sound of a furious voice of a woman resonated from the office of Helvon Academy's headmistress.
Inside, it was chaotic, papers were flying everywhere, something that is already common whenever the headmistress is in a bad mood while her dainty secretary tries to catch everything before it hits the ground.
"Headmistress Victoire, please calm down, the students outside might hear you." The secretary pleaded in a shaking voice.
Although lady Victoire disliked someone ordering her around, for now, she had no choice but to calm down since the decision has already been made without her permission. An anonymous student had transferred without even undergoing the entrance exams and challenges required for everyone before they could even set foot inside the famous and reputable Helvon Academy and lady Victoire is very strict to follow the rules that even her own daughter, Renee, had to finish all of those challenges before she could attend the academy.
"Why didn't anyone tell me about this? What is the chairman thinking?" Lady Victoire exasperatedly plopped down on her swivel chair before grabbing her forehead with both of her hands, a sign that she is once again, stressed about the chairman's reckless actions that can potentially ruin the academy's reputation she spent so long to build.
"This is also the first time I have heard about this, but I believe this is the result of the chairman's illicit doings again. The new student was probably brave enough to step up and blackmail the chairman." The secretary, named Nelly Weiz, spoke while picking up the remaining papers that were scattered on the floor.
"That disgusting chairman. . . I have to find a way to get rid of him before he embarrasses us sooner." Lady Victoire turned her swivel chair around to get a glance at the campus through her giant window, and since her office was located on the very top floor, she can see everything in the front part of the school grounds.
Coincidentally, her eyes loomed over the entrance gate where a car had just stopped, and out came a student that she had never seen before.
"Nelly," She beckons at her secretary as she snaps her fingers to get Nelly's attention.
"Yes, ma'am," Nelly responded quite eagerly.
"Tell me about this new student you speak of."
"S-sure," With a swift motion, Nelly pulled out one of the papers that she had stacked on her arms and cleared her throat, preparing to read the pieces of information about the new student.
"Luna Lovell, female, 17 years old. She was home-schooled since she was in grade school, both her parents work overseas. All her previous grades were exceptional, it is also included here the notes of her previous professors saying that she is beyond high school level already and was given the opportunity to skip high school and go straight to college but she refused."
While listening to Nelly speak, Victoire was carefully studying the new girl who had just entered the school grounds. A teacher saw her and greeted her, although Victoire could not hear their conversation, she was sure that the teacher was very delighted to talk to the new student based on his overexaggerated body movements.
"She refused, huh. . . I wonder why." Victoire crossed her arms when Luna and the professor were walking towards the school's main entrance, and when they were just beneath the window to Victoire's office, she suddenly looked up and met the gaze of Victoire.
". . . ." Victoire kept quiet and did not back down with Luna's intense staring contest.
Luna had only smiled innocently before trailing behind the professor who was giving her a tour around campus.
"Is something the matter, headmistress?" Nelly asked after noticing that Victoire looked uncomfortable after staring down at Luna's face.
She was indeed beautiful, the kind of face that the showbiz industry was looking for, but something about her eyes made her sinister.
"Keep an eye on her at all times, we do not know when she will release controversial information about the school chairman that can ruin all of us. In the meantime, I will try and get rid of that filthy man before anything else."
"But what about Luna Lovell? If the other students find out that she got into the school without any sort of entrance exam then they would probably protest, and a lot of outsiders would try and get into the academy for free if they knew that we allowed such tricks." Nelly worriedly spoke, finally putting the stacks of paper on top of Victoire's desk, with Luna's information placed on the very top for the headmistress to see and review later.
"That girl is not stupid to carelessly tell anyone that she got into the city's best academy by blackmailing the school chairman, if she did then she would be constantly harassed by the other students." Victoire stood up from her seat and walked towards the window, watching over the other students who were beginning to crowd the school grounds since it is almost time for their classes and are headed to their respective classrooms.
"Then, should we just let her roam freely in the academy?" Nelly sheepishly scratched her cheeks, worried of all the possible outcomes they might see. This transfer student was already giving them a hard time with just her sudden appearance and the headmistress did not like that. Being controlled by something.
"Let her be. . . I'm sure my daughter can handle her for me while I dispose of the chairman."
"Your daughter, Renee, might not have the time to handle these kinds of things since she is busy with her work as a celebrity, ma'am." Nelly refuted Victoire's statement but she had only scoffed softly.
"I momentarily denied all of her work-related stuff so she could focus on her studies. The other students must witness how hardworking she is. Everyone is already idolizing her for being a celebrity, now they must see her excel in her studies to further strengthen her fanbase." She explained, with every word she says, her smile kept getting bigger and wider, imagining her daughter succeeding in every aspect of her life. "So she has plenty of time to put that transfer student back to her place."
Nelly only looked down and nodded. "Understood, I'll inform a few of the teachers to keep a close eye on her."
"Then you can leave now," Victoire looked at Nelly from the corner of her slanted, cat-like eye and waited for her to leave the room before putting his gaze back at the school grounds and watching the students interact with each other so giddily. These are the students that she has to train and educate to become the next top leaders and celebrities, she must not make a mistake.
