"The class has not started yet so while waiting for it to begin, come follow me to the teacher's office first so I can give you your list of classes." the teacher who was giving Luna a tour around the campus decided that she was tired so she ended the tour quite early.
Luna nodded in response while flashing a thin and friendly smile, the students who were idly standing next to their lockers were mesmerized by her aura as they walked past them. Luna, however, was aware of how much attention she was getting just by striding along the hallway, and seeing a new face in the middle of the semester piqued everyone's interest. This, of course, is also part of Luna's plan in stirring up a hot issue for the students to gossip about.
'A new student who enrolled in the middle of the semester.' Is considered a piece of rare and extraordinary news for them, since there is only a designated time for entrance exams and once it is finished, nobody can enroll in the school anymore, even if it is someone closely tied with the academy owners. This gossip is not something the Journalism club can just ignore so once this piece of information reached the club president's ears, she was quick to move and take her trusty camera with her.
"Hi there!" she greeted Luna with a wide smile but her eyes were fixated on the camera she was trying to set up so she can take a photo of Luna. "My name is Miyara Eri, the president of the Journalism Club!"
"Oh hi, Eri. Busy day as usual?" the professor who was leading the way greeted her without even looking at her and just kept walking forward.
Luna who was just behind the professor was only looking at the girl who was struggling to keep with their pace from the corner of her eyes, analyzing her appearance first before acknowledging her presence. Miyara Eri, deep black and overly straight bob hair with perfectly cut bangs. Darting slanted black eyes and deep eye bags that was partially covered with a foundation and a cheap concealer.
But nonetheless, Luna was still going to have to address Eri since she can make good use of the person behind all the school newspaper being published all throughout the academy.
With a sudden change of emotions that no one can notice because of how fast she switches, Luna looked at Eri with a kind expression and spoke in a soft voice, "Hi Eri, nice to meet you." she made sure not to disclose any more information about her, not her name, her age, or what class she is to make sure that Eri would still pester her the whole day to wring out information about this mysterious student.
"In here," the professor opened the giant wood oak door and entered, Luna stopped in front of it to face Eri first before entering.
"I am sorry, Eri. I have other things to do first and I am quite in a hurry. If you want, I can meet up with you later during lunch break? Would that be okay with you?" Luna's friendly smile never faltered while speaking in her serene and alluring voice which ultimately captivated Eri's fragile and easily captivated heart.
Eri nodded while holding her camera close to her face and taking a few candid pictures of Luna, of course, she knew that Eri was secretly taking her photos so Luna made sure to smile kindly.
"A-alright, I will wait for you at the school cafeteria later." Eri waved her hand as she sprinted away, not even looking at where she was going so she bumped against a few students who were also standing close to the teacher's office. Eri apologized to the students she bumped into before waving her hand again at Luna with a wide smile before sprinting away, back to her club room to print out the photos she had just taken. This news deserved to get published as soon as possible while there is still more time before morning classes begin.
Luna watched Eri stumble and fall at the school corridor with a smile on her face but deep down, she was already grinning menacingly, that is one step further in dethroning Renee Quinn in this school. They thought that Renee would be the talk of the academy for the rest of the school year just because she is a celebrity, but not anymore now that a mysterious student transferred out of the blue, she is surely set to be the cover photo of all the newspaper across the academy.
"Oh my! You must be Luna Lovell!" the familiar enthusiastic high-pitched voice resonated from the middle of the office filled with cubicles for the professors, Luna looked at the woman that called for her who was probably in her mid 40's.
"I am sorry?" Luna tilted her head innocently at the woman who was approaching them in a rush.
All eyes were on her, some were out of admiration, some were out of spite since Luna just ignored all the required exams to get into the school, they were thinking that she probably used her body to get into this academy which is partly true so they refuse to acknowledge her as an official student.
"I am Jewel, the assistant of the chairman and the one who arranged your papers. It is so nice to finally meet you in person, you are much more beautiful than your photos!" Jewel was overwhelmingly stout and touchy, grabbing Luna's shoulders and slightly shaking them out of excitement.
Luna kept smiling friendly towards her despite cursing her in her mind, she disliked being touched by filthy people like Jewel who seemed like she have not washed her ginger hair for weeks, mostly because all of the work that the chairman has is passed down to her so she did not have any time to fix and take care of herself.
"Nice to finally meet you as well, miss Jewel."
"Alright, that is enough. I have to give her her class schedule," the professor who was accompanying Luna took her wrist and dragged her all the way to her desk, away from Jewel which Luna was really thankful for.
"Okay then, I have to go to the chairman's office as well. Bye, miss Luna! See you later," Jewel struggled to walk in her long flower patterned vintage dress and made sure to wave goodbye at Luna and the rest of the faculty members before exiting the office.
It was like everyone in the room heaved a sigh of relief once she was gone which Luna understands very well.
"Come, take a seat." the professor sat down behind her desk which was different from everyone else's since it was not cramped in a cubicle but placed at the center end of the room. Luna occupied the cushioned seat placed in front of her desk and settled down.
"I think I have not introduced myself yet to you, my name is Lillian Webb, and probably your homeroom teacher for the whole school year," Lillian said while searching through the papers strewn across her messy desk, trying to look for her class schedule.
"Nice to meet you, Miss Lillian," Luna replied. Unlike some of the faculty members in the room who thinks that Luna is not supposed to be in this academy, Lillian thinks otherwise. She has the skill of detecting talents and potentials in people, and she has been sensing an incredibly ridiculous amount of potential in this particular transfer student. The way she carries herself, the air around her, and how she speaks in full grace and elegance. Not to mention that her face is the type that the modeling industry is dying to get. Lillian knows that Luna got into the famous academy using her talents that got the attention of the school chairman, which was partly true. Luna did use her talents in seducing and blackmailing the chairman, not because the ignorant man finds her talented.
"Helvon Academy does not accept students who did not undergo entrance examinations, so you being here in the middle of the semester would garner a lot of attention from the students. I advise that you brace yourself for the upcoming situations."
"That is not a problem to me, miss Lillian," Luna responded which earned a keen stare from Lillian before pulling out the class schedule she was looking for in the pile of paperwork.
"I received orders from the chairman to put you in the top class where most of the talented students are gathered including the teen actress Renee Quinn-" Lillian stopped from speaking when she saw a change in Luna's expression, from kind and friendly to suddenly looking menacing. But that only lasted for a split second before she reverted back to her usual facial expression that Lillian thought that she must be hallucinating.
"I am a big fan of Renee Quinn, so excited to see her in class," Luna commented since she noticed that Lillian was contemplating whether what she saw was true or not.
"Alright then, your class will start in less than a minute so I should introduce you first to your classmates." Lillian gathered all the books she need for her first class and stood up, Luna was quick to trail behind her, trying her best to conceal her excitement to see the look on Renee's face when she sees her again.
Now that Luna was walking behind Lillian through the empty hallway, she could not help but to grin menacingly.
The person that Renee sabotaged 8 years ago, now appearing before her to take her rightful place. .
