Professor Louie grabbed the hand of the two vampires who were attacking on both sides, then he kicked Vlad who was attacking from the front. He threw the two vampires he was holding. They flew into the air and hit the tree.
"Wow! He's strong!" Vanessa exclaimed.
Vlad attacked the professor again, but he broke the hand of the vampire in ease, kicked his face then broke his arm. Louie was still not satisfied, he kicked Vlad's knees so it almost broke. He hit the neck, grabbed the collar and clothes and then threw him on the big tree again. He immediately confronted the other vampire who was about to attack him, quickly pulled out a wooden stake and then stabbed him in the chest. The vamp fell down and started to rot.
Justin, the woman and a man who was also handsome, but with very deep, scary eyes was about to attack the female hunter. Professor Louie's female ally can also keep up with the three vampires. She was able to block the woman vampire's attack and kicked her in the stomach. Justin and the other vampire stopped their attack when they saw that one of them had been killed. "Jed!" Justin shouted.
"Vlad! Take Justin away! Make it fast! We'll take care of them!" Professor Louie's opponent shouted.
Vlad acted quickly. He ran with lightning speed, then pulled Justin away from the battle. Professor Louie would have chased Justin and Vlad but he was blocked by the vampire who warned Vlad. "I'm the one you have to face."
The two vampires fought with strength. They are fast, agile, strong but the strength of Professor Louie is superior. Justin's companion flew again to the tree with great force. It was difficult for him to move with broken bones, but he still got up and shouted. "Stacy! Get out of here!" He shouted at the female companion.
"What? I can't leave you here, Jimmy!" Stacy screamed, as she rushed to confront the woman called Anna by Professor Louie.
"Stop being so stubborn!" Professor Louie's opponent shouted again. The professor immediately rushed at him, he waived hid hands and pulled out a lot of fireballs. Professor Louie was able to block all the fireballs thrown at him. "Hurry up! Get out of here!"
Hesitantly, Stacy grabbed the hand of another vampire companion, and quickly pulled him away. The poor, desperate vampire Jimmy was left behind. He still managed to throw fireballs in different directions, to trick the two vampire hunters, until he was completely exhausted.
Professor Louie came closer in a speed of light, choked Jimmy and then lifted him into the air. "Are you brave enough to save your fellow vampire beings? You are strange. You care for vampires, but you do not care for humans?" Professor was so agitated. His eyes were burning with rage.
"V-vermins are only for our consumption, nothing else!" Jimmy shouted.
"Wrong answer." Professor Louie grabbed the wooden stake and then stabbed the vampire in the chest. He collapsed and gradually dried up.
Anna approached Professor Louie. "They're gone. I doubt they'll ever come back."
"They will come back. They will retaliate soon enough. Besides, they are here to hunt humans. They won't leave immediately."
"How do they already know there are vampire hunters here? Maybe they will go to SAC. If that happens, they'll hunt us, too."
"They will not report, they are Rebel vampires. We're safe. Come on." Professor Louie left the scene with Anna. They quickly ran away from the battle area.
I quickly turned to Martha. "Are there vampire hunters who are vampires like us?"
"It's been a while. He's still alive," Martha whispered a little louder.
"Who are you referring to?" I asked.
"Louie Vangough IV, the notorious vampire hunter my mom told me before. Your mommy has been looking for him for a long time. You were a baby when they last met. Come on, let's follow them." Martha jumped quickly to follow the two vampire hunters.
"Martha! Wait!" I also jumped to catch up.
"Louie!" Martha called the hunter. The two turned to her. When Martha showed her identity as a vampire, the two prepared for a fight.
"Wait, I'm not an enemy!" Martha raised her hands up in the air. I approached Martha; first to protect Martha and second, to escape with her immediately in case we needed.
"Who are you?" Louie turned to me and was surprised to realize what I was. "Half? Like the other one?" he yelled at us.
"Excuse me, we are not the same, I do not bite people. You are disgusting."
His companion stared at me. "I can't smell her, Louie."
"Well, naturally, I swallow vervain." I am proud. I guess I'm the only vampire, or half-vampire rather, whose greedy for vervain.
Professor Louie and his companion relaxed. They lowered their weapons. "How do you drink vervain? So do you," he looked at Martha, "you don't even smell of a vampire."
"Because she also drinks vervain." I answered sparingly. The two stared shockingly. No pure blooded vampire will drink vervain because just a few drops of it will severely injure them, what more if taken more? That will be fatal to them. Although Martha had never tried drinking insoluble vervain tea, it was tested that the concentrated vervain was not deadly to her or to Uncle Fernand. There is a slight sting effect on their stomach, but it does not seem to hurt that much.
"How is it possible?" asked Professor Louie.
"Larrah Salvador." Martha mentioned my mommy's name.
"Why do you know Larrah? Where is she?" Professor Louie asked.
"She's dead. She was killed 50 years ago," I answered back. "She's my Mom."
"What?! Who? Who did that?" Professor Louie's fists clenched.
"We do not know. It was only her daughter who witnessed everything, but she did not see the faces of those who killed her."
Professor Louie looked at me. "Vanessa?"
"You know me?" I was the one who was surprised. Who is this man?
"Your mother was my best friend. She was with me for 100 years in vampire hunting. We separated when SAC appeared 150 years ago. They became strict and also hunted vampire hunters. We needed to lay low. The last time we saw each other was when she gave birth to her daughter. It was you. "
"Are you both really Vampire Hunters?" I looked at them. He was nice and looked kind too.
"We are Shadows Vampire Hunters. SAC is strict on both vampires and other creatures but they are more notorious for vampire and witch hunters." Professor Louie placed his wooden knife in his ankle strap.
I also do not understand the goal of SAC. They restrict vampires and other supernatural beings, they kill half-vampires and renegade vampires, but they are more cruel to hunters. We are not violating their law. We are even fulfilling it. We hunt those vampires on the loose who violate their law... the ones who kill people in open and try to expose the supernatural beings.
"Maybe we could talk about this at home" Martha said. "Fernand is there."
"How is he? We haven't seen each other in a long time." They started walking and talking about the past. Anna and I followed silently, but we smiled to each other. I feel comfortable being with her. Looks like I will have a new friend.
