Hunter
She thought she could hide herself from us with a little bit of lace over her freckles, by changing her hair and sliding that curvy body of hers into something that hugged her like a second skin? It would have been comical if she hadn’t looked so devilish in her angel get up.
I mean, even if the air around her hadn’t shimmered, I would have noticed her straight away. As it was we knew the moment she stepped foot through the front door. The universe made it that way. She could never hide from us.
She was made for us.
Well, girls like her anyway, and out of all the ones that had come before she was the one I wanted the most. Maybe it was the fresh-faced innocence, so different from my own soul that called me. Maybe it was just the fact that she had that whole sexy nerd thing going on in spades.
It didn’t matter.
There was only one way this panned out. The same way it panned out every time we found one. Still, it didn’t stop me laying my claim on her first and that was much easier to do here, at Nine Oaks then it would be at my home. Here she was more comfortable, hell she looked positively at ease as I watched her move across the room. Her hand tightly in her friends. Missy.
Yeah, she was going to be trouble. Girls like her always were.
“Run interference” I was already smoothing the cloak over my shoulders, knowing I cut a dashing if the somewhat creepy figure in our matching black cloaks. A group costume.. the thought made me smile.
Costume indeed.
If only they knew the truth.
“Why do you always get the first crack, you have already spoken to her?”
I narrowed my eyes at the faceless man under the cloak. Declan and his constant whining. The boy really had to get his jealousy under control.
“She likes me” I winked, my smile predatory. Declan knew better than to throw one of his fits around me. I would put him on his ass quicker than he could blink.
“She would like me better”
I rolled my eyes. “f**k you Asher” I didn’t even bother to look at him. As usual, there would be more than enough eyes on Asher's body. “I'm even sure you like girls, not really” I walked away without waiting for his reply.
Time to get my hands on that sweet little angel's body. After all, if I couldn’t punch something then s*x was the next best thing right?

“Where is she?”
I looked up from my place, leaning against the back door. Blowing a long stream of smoke from my lips in Sebastian's direction. He did nothing but glower back at me, as he waved a hand in front of his face. “Hunter, where the hell is she?”
“Last time I checked, she was dancing with some douche. He is of no importance” I waved away the murderous look he threw me. “Really Seb, I expected the jealous crap off Declan no you. Isn’t this whole thing a business arrangement for you?”
“She isn’t in the living room, the douche as you have named him is”
That got my attention. Pulling myself upright, I flicked the still-lit cigarette away from me before shutting the door with a bang.
“She’s….” I could feel the anger starting to bubble, a slow boil but once it started it would reach boiling point quickly. “Where is everyone, I swear to G…” oops nearly said it, I grinned at Sebastians smirking face. “Yeah, where is everyone?” He repeated. “I have only seen…”
Something crackled above our heads, seeming deafening yet we were the only ones whose eyes lifted to the ceiling.
“I am going to f*****g kill him” I was already moving. It was just like the reckless son of a b***h. “Get the others, he’s taken her”
I was going to kill him. If he had, and I already knew the feel and sound of a portal opening to know he had before the time was right I was going to murder him with my bare hands. I would rip his intestines out through his mouth and then make him eat them again.
“f**k” Sevastains perfectly styled blonde hair disappeared and I could hear him mumbling under his breath.
“I'm going to f*****g kill him” I muttered again, eyes lifting.
Dillon's room.
Greedy son of a b***h.
