*Levi* I miss being overseas the minute I step back onto US soil.... being gone for a year was lonely in some ways. I did miss my family, but I wouldn't change it for the world. I got to tour Europe, visiting everywhere I could, including Paris, France, Italy, and Greece, among many others. Now that I've returned home, I'm going to spend some time with my family, meet my lovely new nieces and my nephew, and then prepare to take off again. "Over here, asshole." I hear Matthew's voice as I turn and scan the crowd outside. I catch sight of my brother and slowly maneuver over to him. It takes a minute as there is a ton of people, waiting for loved ones or friends. I drop my bags when I reach him, throwing my arms around his shoulders. "I missed you, brother." "Wish I could say the same." he smirks after hugging me back. I grab my bags again, loading them into the trunk, before jumping into the passenger seat of his car. It doesn't take long to get from the airport to our packlands. I lean back in my seat, barely able to keep my eyes open during the ride, but I sit up when we turn down the driveway heading to our territory. "Hello, Mr. Levi. It's nice to see you again." One of the wolves on patrol announces as he pushes a button and opens the gate. "Thank you." I reply, as I smile at him. "Likewise" He's an older pack member and I know him by sight, but I can't remember his name. I smile as we pull through, venturing down the road that leads to our pack house... but instead of stopping and parking the car, Matthew veers down a road that was never here before. I sit up straighter, looking around curiously, "What the f**k?" I breathe, "This wasn't here before." "It's been a while since you've been home, Levi. A lot has changed since then." he replies, smirking at me again. "It's been a damn year, Matt... one year, not a hundred." I retort, my eyes widening as we pull up to another packed house, "Where the f**k did this come from?" "It's the new packhouse that Abbi and James had built when they decided to merge the packs." he informs me. "What?" I exclaim, turning to start at him. "Now, how in the f**k did all of this happen in the amount of time I was gone? And I didn't know a single thing about it." "Dad didn't tell you about any of this? You said you talked to him." "Yea, he basically told me that the three of you met your mates, you and James got married, and the girls popped out a bunch of grand pups for him to spoil and that it was time for me to bring my ass home." I stopped, gesturing around me. "He didn't say s**t about anything of this." Matthew throws his head back and laughs "Why am I not surprised? Our old man will never lose his flair for the dramatic." I shake my head, get out of the passenger seat, and grab my bags from the trunk. "So, we have two pack houses now?" "Technically three." he says, as he waves his hand at the new one. I look at him, confused. Where did a third one come from? "Abbi's old packhouse." Matthew answers the unasked question. "I just told you the two packs merged. That's why the boundary that used to be there." he says, pointing to a distance not far away, "is gone and this new packhouse is here. There is no more Rippled Moon or Bay Moon. You are all under the Golden Moon Pack now." "They changed the name and everything?" I interrupt him. "Yes, Levi." he nods, before slowing his speech and talking to me like I'm three years old as he points towards the packhouse. "New pack, new start, new name. The new packhouse is for the ranked staff and elite warriors. Our old one was converted into rooms for unmated wolves and warriors... and the other one..." he gestures towards what used to be the neighboring territory, "is being remodeled now and will house more warriors and have apartments for smaller families to live in until they need more space and move into one of the cottages." "Ohhh, wow." I muse, thinking his words over for a moment. "That's actually a really good idea. It provides more room for our pack and keeps warriors on both sides and the middle of the territory... hmmmm....maybe our brother is smarter than I realized." "Yeaaaa, except it wasn't his idea." Matthew reveals, a giant grin stretching across his face. "Abbi was the brain behind that one." "Abbi?" I echo. "Yea." Matthew confirms as he starts walking towards the packhouse steps. I follow him until he stops and turns abruptly. "And word of advice, Levi.... make sure you stay on her good side." "Why?" I ask curiously "Because, my dear little brother, Abbi is a force to be reckoned with... and if you piss her off, the odds are pretty high that you might end up looking like a charred chicken." he explains with a shrug before clapping his hand on my shoulder, "so don't fuckin do it." "What the f**k?" I exclaim as he smirks at me again and then turns back around, taking the steps two at a time. "Come on." He calls, "Everyone is waiting for you." I follow behind him, wondering who the hell everyone is... and where my damn room is now, since I clearly no longer have one in the old packhouse. We walk into the house, and I jump as I hear my mother screech, "Levi." I drop my bags just in time to catch her as she comes careening towards me. "I missed you, son." "Of course you did." I reply, hugging her tightly, "I'm your favorite one." She sighs as she pulls back, "Oh, Goddess. I almost forgot how similar you are to your father." I smile, popping a kiss on her forehead. "Where is the old fart?" "He's in the kitchen." she explains, as one of the staff grab my bags. "I'll show you to your room later, but in the meantime, let me introduce you to everyone" she claps her hands together, her face lighting up for a minute before it dims back down. "But Levi, don't start your shit." she says, wagging her finger at me. I stumble back a step, lifting my hand to my chest as I pretend to be offended. "Why, mother... whatever are you talking about?" "As I already said, you have a habit of acting just like your father. One of him is a lot to handle on its own. No need for a second one." she informs me, arching her eyebrow. "You picked him." I remind her, with a shrug. "No, the Goddess picked him for me. I love that man dearly but sometimes I really wonder what she was thinking... but anyways, I expect you to be on good behavior." she clarifies. I smile at her, placing another kiss on her forehead. "Yes, mother." She frowns at me, apparently doubting the sincerity of my words, before turning and leading me down the hall. We end up in the kitchen, which is full of soft calming colors. The kitchen is large, with rows upon rows of cabinets, and a large island. There is a huge table off to the side, which is currently packed with food and people. They all stand as we approach, my father and brother walking around the table and hugging me one by one. "It's good to see you." James mutters as he pulls away. My oldest brother and I haven't always gotten along, but I love him just the same. "It's good to be home." I reply, as Michael steps forward and hugs me as well. My father is last, looking me up and down before muttering, "Well, at least you look like you've been taking care of yourself... but next time you disappear on us, and can't even bother to call, I'll hunt you down and kick your ass" "I'll keep that in mind." I smirk, before pulling him in for a hug. He hugs me tightly, squeezing me until I can barely breathe, before letting me go. "I'm serious, Levi." he warns as he steps back. I nod, gazing at the other people in front of me, but I don't see any babies. Matthew steps beside me, "The little ones are all down for naps right now. They ate a little earlier and then went to sleep while we were waiting for you." He grabs the hand of a brunette, with deep brown eyes flecked with gold. "Levi, this is Amorah, my mate." I take her hand, shaking it, "Nice to meet you, Amorah." She smiles, her face lighting up as she smiles up at me. She's really a beautiful girl. I let her hand go and watch as James takes over and starts gesturing around the table. "You already know Jackson. This-" he points to a pretty blonde, "is his mate Carmen... that's Ava and my mate Abbi." he replies, pointing between the twins. I look back and forth between the two of them, not able to spot a single difference between them. They are both gorgeous, with long straight black hair and bright emerald green eyes. One has on a green shirt and one is wearing blue. Which would probably have helped me for today.... if it weren't for the fact that I've forgotten which one is which already. "Abbi." the one in green confirms as she steps forward, grabbing my hand, and shaking it. "It's nice to finally met you." "You, too." I reply, before turning towards Ava and shaking her hand, as well. "Ok." My dad announces, clapping his hands, "Now that that is done and over with, let's eat!"
