Chapter 9: Lucian

I think Travis is crazy! Why would he tell me those things? He must be crazy right?!

“Hey pretty, you okay?” Mike asked after a chugged a glass of milkshake.

“Hey!”

I didn’t notice that he is already cleaning up my table because I am done eating and I haven’t noticed it also since I am so busy thinking about what Travis said.

It really bothers me especially the way he said it.

It’s like a warning.

I sighed. Maybe I should stop overthinking, maybe he is just being playful.. yeah that must it.

“Aren’t you going to hurry? It’s already dark outside.” Mike pointed outside that made my head snapped towards the window. My lips parted and my heart started to beat fast. I am starting to panic, I stood fast and grabbed my things.

I should go now before it gets darker.

And because I was in such a hurry I didn’t notice that someone is on my way so I bumped into that person.

I was lucky that he was able to catch me before I landed on the ground. Strong hands gripped my arms and the person in front of me tried to help me get into my foot.

My red is hot because of embarrassment especially when I know that a lot of people may see what happened to me. I can’t even raise my head to my savior because I don’t know how to face him.

“Are you okay?” The man in front of me asked, his voice is so husky and sexy that it made me feel like I have already heard his voice before.

I raised my head so fast that the man in front of me was surprised by my sudden movement.

I blinked my eyes several times to make sure that I am not having hallucinations or something because right in front of me is Grey! Yes! It is Mr. Grey Eyes in Suit!

“Hey? Are you okay?” He repeated. I can see a trace of worry on his face.

And my cheeks grew hotter.

This is so embarrassing!

“Y-yeah..Thank you. I-I’m sorry, I didn’t see you, I was-“

“Hey, it’s okay. Calm down.”

I nodded before I sucked my head and I look around me. I can see people are also looking at us.

Great! Way to go Calliope!

“Hey, Pretty! Everything okay?” Even Mike asked.

He seemed startled with my almost floor swimming!

“I’m..o-okay.” I said before I looked at Grey again.

“I’m really sorry.. I have to go!” I said as I pointed out the door and he nodded before he let go of my arms.

Oh, how I missed the warmth of his hand!

Goodness Calliope! Stop it!

I shook my head as I walked passed through Mike and Grey, not minding about their worried look.

I am much more worried about the darkness outside.

So I tried to walk fast almost running like what I always do whenever I am going home after 6 pm.

I am almost near my apartment when I walked through the dark alley and something different happened to my usual routine.

It was so fast that I do not know how to react.

All I know is that someone pulled my arm and a hand covered my mouth.

My eyes grew wide as my heart beats loudly that I am afraid that it might burst.

I tried to shout and struggle but there is no use.

I’m so scared that tears are already forming in my eyes.

My captor is trying to stop me from moving!

“Shhhh.. it’s okay, it’s okay..don’t be afraid.” My captor said as he tried to hushed me.

I can feel his face on my ears, then I can feel how he tried to smell me from my hair to my neck that made me struggle more!

I wanted to shout!

I wanted to tell him to stop holding me!

To stop smelling me!

And ask him what does he need from me?

“Shhhh..baby..it’s me..”

My eyes grew wide, his voice s familiar..

And that endearment..

Baby..

Oh my!! Don’t tell me he was the guy at the party?

“Don’t be afraid, I won’t hurt you..” his voice might be soothing but still it didn’t make me calm down.

“I just want to remind you of something.” He said as I stopped moving.

“You are mine. Just mine. So don’t you dare flirt with another guy!” He threatened me.

And the next thing I know is I passed out.

“Wake up..”

I heard a voice that made me stir.

I opened my eyes, and all I can see at first is white.

I am in a white room, with a lot of dark things around, from furniture to decorations. It looks so manly.

“Hey?” A voice made me lookup.

“W-what happened? Where am I?” I asked as I tried to sit while holding my head.

I blinked several times as I tried to adjust my vision.

My lips parted upon seeing who is in front of me.

It is no other than Grey!

Why does our encounter becoming so frequent?

“I saw you in the alley as I am passing by and decided to bring you here.”

“Where?”

“In my place.” My eyes grew wide as I looked around.

Why would he bring me here?

“Sorry, I don’t know where to bring you. My place is near the area, so I decided to bring you here.” He said with concern in his eyes.

“Ohh”

“What happened to you?  Why are you lying in the ground?” he asked.

My lips parted, I was about to tell him what happened but then, will he believe me? I don’t have any proof!

“I..I don’t know.” My lips are trembling.

I am still scared..

But then I know, no one can help me for now.

I know the alley where I passed out has no CCTV.. so what will be my proof?

“I- I need to go,” I said as I stood fast but then I almost fell because my legs turned to jelly.

“Hey..careful.” He was able to catch me before I landed on the floor for the second time this night.

“You don’t need to go tonight. You can stay here..don’t worry I am not a bad man.”

I just stared at him and I don’t know how to react.

How can I stay in a stranger's place? 

And how can I relax knowing that out there, the man who's claiming that I am his, is free and just roaming around?

"I.. I don't know.." I said.

It's okay, I won't hurt you. I promise.

“My name is Lucian, you can call me Luci,” he said while his grey eyes stare at me with so much intensity that I think I might get drowned.
