Princess Nova

1419 Words
Alice's POV "Can you believe our baby girl is two years old now?" Landon asks out loud as I lift Nova into her highchair for breakfast. "Honestly, no. I can't believe it. I still can't believe we even have a child, but I am beyond grateful that we were blessed with this little angel." Landon wraps his arms around my waist and gives me a kiss on the cheek. "I love you, Alice." I smile at my king. "I love you too, Landon." "And, I love you!" I coo to Nova as she let's out a loud giggle when I tickle her. Landon brings over a small plate of scrambled eggs for our princess and a sippy cup of apple juice. I was so nervous about becoming a mother, but everything seemed to come to me naturally the moment she was born. I help her with her food as Landon talks with the head omega about tonight. "We want you all to be at the party tonight enjoying yourselves. So, please don't stress about making food or anything of the sort. Understood?" I can hear the glee in the omega's voice and it makes my heart happy. I'm a bit of a control freak, so I made sure to be in charge of decorating the castle and that everything was how I visioned it to be. With all the help I received, it was done within two days. Our little princess loves unicorns, so that is the themed I went with. Everyone we invited should be arriving at noon, so I had to go get myself and Nova freshened up and ready for the party. Being the king and queen, leaders from every pack will be attending with their mate. If they have no mate, they are allowed to bring one guest with them. I hear a low whistle from behind me and I turn around to see Landon in the door frame of our bedroom. "You, my queen, look ravishing." I blush at his remark and take a second to check him out. He is dressed in black pants and a pink button up shirt, with the sleeves rolled up on his forearms. When I reach his face, I notice his eyes are black. "You smell delicious, my love." Once again, I feel my cheeks heat up. "Landon! Nova is in the room." I scold him. He scans the room and his eyes turn back to normal as he spots Nova on the recliner in our room, looking at a book upside down. He lets out a chuckle and walks over to her, catching her by surprise when he lifts her up in the air. She lets out an adorable squeal and my heart melts watching the two interact. I can't put into words the love I have for them. My wolf purrs and agrees wit how much she loves our mate and pup. "Okay birthday girl! You ready to party?" It's just about noon and I heard one of our guards through link inform us that people are beginning to arrive. Landon has Nova in his arms and I take the little crown from my vanity and place it on her head. "You truly are our little princess." I place a kiss on her forehead and the three of us make our way downstairs to greet our guests. As I expected, my mom and dad are first to arrive. "Oh my goodness! Look at you!" Mom takes Nova from Landon's arms and peppers kisses all over her little face. "Hi princess, I've missed you." Dad greets me with a hug and kiss on the cheek before hugging and saying hi to Landon. Some more people I barely recognize begin to enter the castle and greet me and Landon, wishing a happy birthday to Nova. I had hired catering to be done from a wolf company that resides in the human town. They are going around offering glasses of wine, which almost everyone gladly accepts. A few others are going around with little appetizers which look quite delicious. Jackson, Kevin, and Rose arrive and give me and Landon a group hug. I love these three so much. They were always like extra parents to me. When I lived at the Blood Moon pack, Rose's mother, Cindy, lived there as well. She was always that sweet grandmother figure who would sneak me and my sibling candy or desserts when my parents said no. She was human, and refused to be turned when she fell ill. My grandmother, Liz, is a vampire and was Cindy's best friend. Needless to say, we were devastated when Cindy passed away from cancer. It took a long time for Liz to accept the fact that she did the right thing by not turning Cindy against her will. I feel like Liz took it harder than Rose did. To be honest, I think they had a secret relationship. More members from other packs arrive and Landon leaves the group hug to greet them. I excused myself as well to go greet our guests, but I never made it to the front entrance as I'm tackled by my siblings. When the hell did they sneak in? I laugh as we almost fall to the ground, but I place my hand on the wall beside me to help keep balance. "I've missed you guys so much!" I exclaim to Noah and Violet. "We missed you too sis." Noah says. I hear a clicking sound, and all of us look t the source. Alex is standing there with a camera in his hands. "You guys are adorable." He smiles at us. "Where's my little princess?" Violet asks as she looks around the room. She spots our mom still holding onto my little girl and she rushes over to her. Standing next to Alex is Chris, Megg, and Jace. I go over and greet my friends. While talking with them, I hear a quiet little cry. "Aww, why is my baby Franklin crying?" I ask as I turn around and see Benjamin and Sarah with their son. "He just woke up from his nap in the car. So, he's a little cranky." Sarah informs me. "May I?" I stick my arms out and she hands me Franky. "You are adorable! You will have girls chasing after you just like your daddy." Noah looks guilty at my statement. "Will you stop with that look. How many times have I told you that I forgive you." Sarah scolds my brother. Before Benny and Sarah knew they were mates, she was one of the girls always asking where Benny was. Noah would always lie to her with either a "I don't know" or he would purposely give her the wrong location of where his nephew was. He found it amusing making all the girls travels in circles at different locations trying to find Benny. "Where's Juliette and Ryan?" I ask after an hour has gone by of mingling. Noah and Alex check their phones, probably reading any text message from their daughter. "She said they will be here in a few minutes." I smile, knowing most of my family will be here to celebrate my daughters birthday. Looking around the room, I see Megg is now the one playing with Nova. I feel bad for her, knowing she can't have kids of her own. During a rogue attack years ago, one of them clawed her so deep, causing damage to her uterus that her wolf couldn't heal. We were just grateful that she lived. That's the most important thing. Landon grabs my hand and introduces me to some of the leaders I have yet to meet. After another hour, we made an announcement that we will be opening the door to the grande ballroom where the party will be in. Everyone makes their way into the room and I hear lots of kind words being said about how magical and beautiful the room is. Some people grabbed food from the buffet tables while others immediately hit the dance floor. I know Noah and Alex would go straight there. Those two LOVE dancing and never miss a chance to show off their moves. "Gosh. They are so embarrassing." I turn to the voice and laugh as I hug Juliette then Ryan. "Oh, think you can do better?" I smirk at my niece and her boyfriend. Before I know it, Juliette has Ryan by the hand and pulling him on to the dance floor.
