Chapter Fourteen

Dai: We ate at a Mexican restaurant called Los Tapas. It was a eat-in place and we sat at a small booth, across from one another. We waited for a waiter to come and take our order. The place was nice and packed with night eaters. Something that I missed about South Korea. As we checked out the menu.  “What are you eating?” I asked her. “Maybe a bean, rice and cheese burrito and a horchata to drink.”  I squinted my eyes at her. She chuckled and shook her head. “Horchata is very good once you try it.” She laughed.  I smiled and shook my head. “I’m already going out of my comfort zone with Mexican food.” I joked. Rhoyda smiled at me and looked the other way. HE said I needed to get to know her if I was going to get her to love both Sukuna and I, but I wasn’t sure how that was going to happen. I sighed and looked around the place we were at. Mexican music played softly in the background, giving us that relaxed feeling. It wasn’t too loud or too soft. “So, I was wondering if I can get to know you a little bit?” I asked her.  “What do you want to know?” She questioned.  “Anything. How’s school?” Rhoyda chuckled.  “Wow, you sound like a parent.” She said, then she turned serious. “You don’t have any kids, do you?” “No.”  “Good. I didn’t want to be apart of the baby mama drama.”  “Understandable. You don’t have to worry about that.”  As I looked around, I began to see people looking and staring at us. They were glaring and whispering. I was beginning to get nervous.  “You okay?” She asked me.  “Yeah.” I told her. “Just so many eyes are on us.”  The waiter came with some glasses filled with water for us and he pulled out a notepad with a pen.  “What would you like to order?” He asked us. “I would like your bean, rice and cheese burrito with chips and guacamole on the side.” Rhoyda ordered. “Also, can I get a glass of horchata?” “Of course.” He said, then she turned to me. “And for you, Sir?” I shrugged.  “Your grande nachos, please?” I asked. “And can I get a glass of coke with it?” “Of course.” He nodded. “I’ll be back with your orders.”  He walked off, leaving us alone again. Rhoyda looked around before she turned back to me. “Maybe you should bring Su-.” She stopped whispering as soon as an middle-aged woman came over to our booth. “I’m sorry, but my husband and I were worried.” She said to Rhoyda. “Is he keeping you here, hostage?” “What do you mean?” Rhoyda asked.  I knew what they meant and I knew it was time for me to bring Sukuna out.  “He looks over age and he shouldn’t be with you. If I have to, I will call the cops.” Shit, I thought to myself. Slipping the necklace from my pocket, I put it around my neck. Closing my eyes, I decided to get in contact with Sukuna. I need you, Sukuna…. We have a problem… Sukuna chuckled in my mind. You don’t know how to handle the police? I rolled my eyes and continued to watch the woman talk to Rhoyda. My eyes turned to the woman’s husband, who was on the phone already. Sukuna sighed in my head. I’ll take over from here… Nodding my head, I looked at Rhoyda and gave her the ‘okay’ before I closed my eyes and let Sukuna take over.  *** Sukuna: Sighing, I got up from the seat and walked over to where the woman and her husband were sitting. I sat across from him and he acted like I was completely not there. Annoyed at how much of a b***h he was being, I snatched the phone from him and placed it against my ear.  “EXCUSE ME!” The man shouted at me. I held my finger up at him and turned my attention to the guy on the other line of the phone.  “I’m just out with my girlfriend, okay?” I said into the phone. “I don’t want any problems or I will be the first one to cause them.” “It seems that you’re with a girl that is not of age.” The officer said.  I recognized that tone of voice anywhere. Smiling from ear to ear, I turned my eyes back to the middle-aged man before me. “I’ve met you before.” I said into the phone.  “When, Sir?” The officer asked. “We had a good altercation outside of my car.” The officer got quiet and when he spoke again, his tone had a lot more energy than before.  “It’s you.” He said in a low tone.  “Surprised?” I asked him. “Um, can I get my phone back?” The guy asked me.  “Tell him about me and let him know that I am somebody he doesn’t want to mess with.”  “Yes, Sir.” “Thank you.” I tossed the phone to the man and got up from my seat. He placed the phone to his ear as I got up and left back over to my table.  “I’m fine and my boyfriend is the same age as me.” Rhoyda told her.  “He looks older than you, sweetheart.” The woman stated. I took a seat and the woman turned to me. “Why thank you.” I told her. “I’d rather look older than a damn baby. Matter of fact, your compliment just excited me this evening. So, I’d like to offer you a drink.” The woman leaned closer to me with a frown on her face. “I don’t know what you’re offering her, but I hope she eventually gets enough courage to call the police.”  “Margeret, let’s go.” The husband rushed over to his wife.  “She’s not going nowhere.” I told her with a serious look on my face.  “You f*****g psycho.”  The husband looked at me with a worried look on his face. I looked at him and smiled.  “I’m sorry, Sir.” Her husband said to me. “She’s just not used to seeing the youth these days.”  “Oh, it’s not a problem.” I smirked at him before slowly shifting my eyes to his wife. “I think you should head out.” The woman looked from me to her husband. “Why are you being like this?” She asked him. “You were just okay with calling the police.”  “Margeret, there are times when things need to be left alone. There are even times where the person you come into contact with is more dangerous than they seem. Please, don’t make this complicated.”  Margaret shook her head at her husband.  “Fine, I’ll call the police myself.” Margeret said. “Margeret, he owns the police.” She stared at her husband before she looked back at me. I wiggled my eyebrows at her and she walked off with her husband. The news shocked Rhoyda, completely. “You own the police?” She asked me in a whisper. “Yes.” I told her.  I looked at her and a smile reappeared. “I know you’re not scared of me now.” I whispered to her. She stared at me for the longest time and shook her head.  “No, Sukuna, I’m not.”  I licked my lips at her, then turned to her outfit.  “I missed you.”  I lifted my eyes up to hers and leaned back in my seat. “Are you willing to show me how much?” I asked her.  She began messing with her fingers before nodding her head to the question. Our food came and we ate in silence. But, I knew what she was thinking. The way her eyes kept looking into mine, I knew she wanted me as bad as I wanted her. And the want was high.
