Lloyd’s POV
“Oh s**t I’m late!” I said as I was getting off the bed. My first class was later than Lucas’ and Alana’s but I woke up way too late. Class was about to start in ten minutes and it takes me more than half an hour to look sogood.
I tried my best to be quick, but it was impossible. Had to pick a good outfit and my hair had to look perfect. When I was finally done I took my backpack and left for school.
I arrived to my first lecture, and to my bad luck the teacher was in a bad mood. “You finally decided to join us Mr...” she said looking at the paper “Miller”.
“Sorry, my alarm didn’t go off” I said fake smiling and sat next to Alana who thankfully had that class with me. She looked at me with her eyebrows raised and chuckled.
“What?” I asked.
“You know you’re full of it” she replied.
“You’re my best friend. You should know better than that” I said leaning to her with a flirtatious look. She pushed me back.
“Because I know you better than that is because I know you’re full of it” she said shaking her head. I just sat back and decided to ‘listen’ to the teacher.
The lecture was finally over and we were heading out when that blonde girl from yesterday saw us in the hallway. She waved at me and walked over.
“Hi handsome! I’m glad to see you. I didn’t introduce myself properly yesterday. My name is Ruby” she said extending her hand for me to shake. I did and gave her a small smile.
“I’m Lloyd. Nice to meet you, and this is my roommate and friend Alana” I said putting my hand on the small of her back. My heart started racing again. She stiffened at my touch and moved away a little.
“Hi nice to meet you” Alana extended her hand, but Ruby ignored it and kept looking my way. I noticed Alana roll her eyes.
“I have to go to my next class. I’ll see you around” she said before walking away leaving me alone with Ruby.
“So, what’s your next class?” She asked.
“I don’t have anything at the moment. I’ll just relax a little bit. Maybe go home” I replied trying to walk away. But she stopped me putting her arms around my neck.
“Well, if you’re not busy then maybe we can have some fun. You’re very attractive”.
Was she flirting? I’m not sure how I feel about this. “No thank you. I have to go”
“Don’t worry sweetheart, I can wait. You’ll be mine soon” she said as she headed down the hallway. Crazy chick.
I went home to watch some tv before my next lecture. I had enough time to kill. My phone rang, it was Alana.
“Hey what’s up?” I answered the phone.
“Where are you? I’ve been looking for you everywhere” she said almost yelling.
“I’m at the house watching some tv. My next lecture is after two hours” I replied.
“Two hours? What kind of college courses did you choose? Besides aren’t you supposed to be on the baseball field getting recruited?”
I hung up. Oh great, how could I forget that. Trying to get away from Ruby made me forget it was recruiting day so I stood up and went back to school. If I’m late I sure as hell won’t be getting in.
