Lucas’ POV     It was lunch time, I was sitting in the cafeteria alone. I didn’t know anyone so I decided to sit on the table by myself.      My appetite was gone. How could Jake do this to me? He could have at least told me he didn’t love me anymore. Instead he kept leading me on telling me he missed me and wanted to see me.      Screw him. I’m a man and I can get over this. I pushed my food away and put my headphones on to listen to some music. All of a sudden someone bumped into me throwing food all over me.      “What the hell?” I said upset.     “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to. Are you okay?” A husky voice said and when I looked at the person talking I froze. He had a very handsome face. Blue eyes and his hair was combed back with gel on it. Jawline was sharp and strong.      “That’s fine. It was an accident” I said wiping my clothes with a napkin.      “My name is Julian Gale” he said extending his arm to shake my hand.      “Lucas Miller, nice to meet you” I shook his hand and instantly I felt fireworks in my heart.      I picked up all my things when he said “do you need to change? I have some clothes in my gym locker if you’d like”.      “No that’s okay. I’ll just go home. I’m done for the day anyway” I replied, wavedgoodbye and left the cafeteria and went home.      I started to study, but couldn’t stop thinking about that guy in the cafeteria. ‘Come on, just this morning you said you loved Jake’ I thought.      ‘But he cheated on you. You deserve someone better. Even Alana told you that’ I decided to shake off this feeling and keep studying. There was no way I would get over Jake so soon.  Alana’s POV     Lloyd got to the baseball field in time. Thanks to me that called him to remind him. He would have never made it. He was waiting for his turn when I sat down next to him on the bench.      “Nervous?” I asked     “Me? Come on Alana, you underestimated me” He replied chuckling.      “I did didn’t I? So if I were to mention a certain girl that’s attracted to you, would you be able to focus on the game?”     “Please Alana, she screams easy”.       “Oh the great Lloyd Miller, mayor flirt in high school is not interested in a girl like her? That’s surprising” I laughed.     “Make fun of me all you want, I got my eyes on one special girl, in case you didn’t know”.      Those words kind of stung. He met a girl already? We’ve only been here for two days.       ‘Are you jealous Alana?’ No way. He’s my friend. Why would I be jealous. I was just surprised he is not interested in the pretty and available girls. Even the ones that weren’t available were victims of his charms.      I just shrugged and kept watching the boys play. It was finally his turn and they had put him to bat first. As soon as the pitcher threw the ball, he hit it out of the park.      “Wow, nice hit” I said when I saw him walking over.      “It was nothing” he said, but I could feel an air of cockiness coming out of him. I rolled my eyes and kept enjoying the game. After it was over the coaches had let the students know they will post the list of those who were recruited.      We stood up and walked home. The evening was nice and cool. “So, how was your official first day of school?” I asked Lloyd.     “Except for the fact that I almost didn’t make it to lecture or to the recruitment. Ahhh and the fact that Ruby is kind of an obsessive type of girl. But other than that it was a good day”.      I smiled and shook my head. This is the most annoying twin in my life. Surprised why I haven’t gone crazy already.
