Lucas' Confession

Alana’s POV
I was getting out of my shower with just a towel wrapped up around my body when suddenly I noticed Lloyd standing by the door, I let out a scream.
“What the hell Lloyd? What are you doing here?” I said as I was running to the bathroom again.
“Sorry, the door was kind of open. I didn’t mean too”.
I took the robe that was hanging behind the bathroom door. Why didn’t I think of wearing that in the first place? I even forgot I left my bedroom door open. After I put it on I walked out. He was sitting on my bed.
“What do you want?” I sounded upset and I’m sure he noticed.
“I just wanted to check on you. After that girl left, you looked a little upset”.
“Me? Why would I? It was just weird to see someone show up at our door without even knowing us. Especially a girl. I wonder what did you tell her back on campus” I said trying not to show jealousy but it looked like I was failing because he was smirking.
“Okay. Well have a good night, we have a long day ahead of us tomorrow. First day of lectures” he said patting my thigh which had me feeling butterflies and walked out of my room.
I let out a big sigh and threw myself in bed. He is so annoying. How did I choose him as my friend? Lucas is crazy, but not as annoying as him.
Talking about Lucas I better check on him. I walked downstairs and found him in the kitchen. He’s talking on the phone with someone. I wonder who it is.
“I know baby. I miss you too. I wish we could see each other soon. I arrived earlier and I’m already settled” he was whispering.
“Lucas?”
He jumped and hung up the phone. “Are you okay? You seem nervous” I asked him.
“I’m fine. Just talking to a friend” he said, trying to walk out but I held him by his arm.
“You know you can trust me right? What’s bothering you?” I asked him concerned.
He let out a big sigh and pulled me to a chair. “Alana, remember that boy I used to hang out with in high school?”.
“Yes I do, I think his name is Jake. You guys were really close. He was your best friend apart from me. Why are you asking?”.
“He asked me to be his boyfriend right before graduation” he said looking at the floor. He looked embarrassed.
“Lucas, you’re gay?” I asked surprised.
“Yes. But no one knows. I’ve been keeping it to myself. I’m scared of how mom and dad would react”
I just looked at him with a smile on my face. Holding his chin I said “They’re your parents. They love you Lucas. I doubt they’ll reject you. They’re one of the best parents a son can ask for”.
“Thank you” He smiled back looking a little more relaxed.
“Does Lloyd know?”I asked.
“He suspects something. I’ve never had a girlfriend or even dated a girl”.
“You should tell him too you know. It’s not a big deal. It’s what you feel and they’ll have to deal with it” I stood up and gave him a big hug.
These twins are my everything. One is annoying as hell, but annoyingly hot. The other is a wild and funny one with a big heart. Always been that way. That’s why I love them.
