Lloyd’s POV
I arrived to the campus and found the booth where baseball registration was. I went straight to it and put my name on the sheet.
I got every brochure needed for it and decided to get Alana and Lucas brochures for different activities in case they didn’t make it on time.
There was another booth that caught my attention. Hockey registration. Dad and I used to watch hockey all the time when I was a kid. He tried to get Lucas to like sports, but he was always inclined to music. I signed up for Hockey too, that way when baseball season is over I have something else to do.
As I was about to leave, a girl with beautiful blonde hair approached me. “Hi handsome, it must be your first year here” she flirted.
“Umm, yes it is. I was just getting some brochures for me and my roommates” I replied.
“Well, if your ever need a tour guide, I can be of help” she said twisting a strand of her hair around her fingers.
“I’ll think about it. Thank you”
I quickly walked back to the house. When I arrived I saw Alana and Lucas sitting on the couch watching tv and eating takeout. “Did you guys even order any for me?” I asked.
“Of course we did, we got you your favorite” Alana replied handing me the food. I sat next to her and watched the movie. Lucas was sitting on the other couch texting on the phone. Not even paying attention to the tv.
“Who is Lucas texting with?” I asked Alana, whispering so he didn’t hear me.
“Who knows? He won’t tell me” she shrugged. After the movie was over, I cleaned the garbage and went to the kitchen.
“So how was the registration?” I heard Alana talk behind me as she followed me to the kitchen.
“It was good actually. I even signed up for Hockey. I brought brochures for you guys. I know you didn’t make it, but you still have until next week to sign up in extracurricular activities”
“That’s great. And thank you”
We heard the doorbell ring. It was weird, we don’t know anyone on campus yet. Well, except the girl I met that girl earlier.
Lucas ran to the door excited, but when he opened and saw that it was just a girl standing there he groaned and said “It must be for you Lloyd. Already making friends huh?”
He walked away and went back to his texting. I walked to the door and greeted her.
“Hi! This is unexpected” I said with a smile.
“I’m sorry, it’s just we give proper welcomes to new students” she said smiling back.
I felt Alana stand closely behind me sending sparks on my body. “Who are the ‘we’? I don’t see anyone else. Do you always give new students a welcome like this, or just the handsome ones?” She said crossing her arms on her chest and looking around for other students that might be with her.
I chuckled when she said that. Does she really think I’m handsome?
“Well it’s just me, but I give all the students a warm welcome” her flirty blue eyes went back to me and I chuckled nervously.
“Well thank you for stopping by. I guess I’ll be seeing you on campus” I replied.
She smiled and waved goodbye and as I was closing the door Alana was looking at me with her eyebrows raised.
Lucas was laughing from where he was sitting “Seriously dude? We’ve only been here for a few hours and you’re already flirting with girls?”
True, I was well known for being a flirt back in high school. But it’s time I grew up. No more hook ups, no more breaking hearts. My mind was for one girl only. And I just hope she feels the same way.
Alana narrowed her eyes and just walked up to her room. What was that about? I just decided to ignore it and finish picking up the trash.
I went to her room after I was done and her door was ajar. I went in and to my surprise she was coming out of her bathroom with nothing but a towel around her body. I just froze.
The last time I’ve seen her like that was when our parents would bathe us together when we were kids. A little weird but we got used to it.
I just can’t believe how much she’s changed. Her body, her attitude. Everything just keeps attracting me to her. I have to snap out of it. Classes start tomorrow and I need to focus.
